As lucky as you both are to have that beautiful baby boy in your lives, he, in turn, is one lucky boy to have you both in his, what a journey you are all on. We appreciate you taking us with you.
Nice video. You two are making a wonderful place to call home. Rob the greatest adventure is one right at home. Watching your son grow and being a part of the growth. It's the best part of life. 32 years ago my wife brought a baby into our lives. We did our best and now he's a man with his own life and lady. It has been the greatest blessing I've ever experienced. Enjoy every second. I can't wait to see what more you and Erin build in the future. Thx for sharing.
Thanks again for sharing your lives with all of us ❤ its a moment of joy in a bleak world! So beautiful and little Scout is getting not so little very quickly😅 how precious. GOD BLESS😊
Absolutely wonderful….it is going to be so good to watch the changes to your property and the house over the changing seasons. Enjoy all these early years as the little ones grow far too quickly. Thankyou both for sharing and evoking some wonderful memories for me.
Have a ton of kids. Kids are fun. Farms are awesome places for kids. Large families teach kids that it takes team work to run a house and a farm. Things that are missing in today's world. It enriches lives and communities. Love how you are teaching your son to explore and learn with supervision. Encouragement and love every step of the way. Looking forward to the next episode. You guys are young and forward thinkers realising the modern world is full of things that remove people from what is rich and meaningful in life's building a family and teaching your children how to survive in the pursuits of the basics of owning your own home and growing your own food free from chemicals.
You both are so sweet doing everything so well. The way you look after your lovely son is adorable. Love you all and all the care you're having for making the best of the various parts of your spacious house.❤❤❤
Scout is gorgeous snd very adventurous like his Dad. Wear a mask to clean the chook shed. Sprinkle lime down on the chooks' floor first before putting in straw. To deter mites.
I had chooks for years. Great manure mixed with hay for the garden. We bought a lovely shed and made it so good for the chooks. If I didn't shut them up over night they would fly into the feijoa trees and roost there. I don't think they get very cold. They are like birds with very fast metabolism. I shut them in as didn't want to hunt for the eggs. Lovely place you have and great progress.
I'm so happy for you and your family Rob, your son is a chip of the block and your wife is a great mum to junior. Its so good you got rid of the mortgage and scored a beautiful property. I bet the pressure is off and life will be so good. 😊😊😊
I can't believe how close the birds come up to you! The wild birds up our way are so wary/wild, they keep their distance! Great job cleaning off the lichen! Research Deep Litter Method for your chicken coup and see if that appeals to you. You don't have to clean it as often and, when you do, all of the stuff you shovel up goes straight into the compost bin (rather than a liquid stinky concoction). Well done getting Scout to exercise those climbing muscles. The joy your family is experiencing simply radiates, from all directions!
Omgoodness you’ve found yourself a little piece of heaven. What a wonderful life you’re all going to have 😊❤ Subscribed and hit the bell, looking forward to coming along on your amazing journey. 👍🏴
Just stumbled across this video Rob, as I always watch your epic adventures in the wilderness. What a great storyline leading to your new adventure with the family, and I can only see success to your futures. You have actually helped change my life somewhat as I didn't realise how much I missed Tassie until I started watching your adventures. I moved to Queensland 24 years ago, but life changed when I lost my wife to cancer last year . The opportunity rose for me to move back, and I packed up and drove all the way five weeks ago. Yes, it's cold but the fresh air and scenery is second to none and I feel refreshed.
Such a beautiful family. That little Scout is quite the adventurer already. What a lucky little guy to have such loving parents. Your house looks great. So comfy and inviting.
I approve of the stair philosophy. I remember nailing a few pieces of wood to a biggish wattle tree for a makeshift ladder to the bottom branch. It took years for my daughter to reach scary places. "Yes. that's very good. Could you please come down now you have me worried."
Congratulations guys on a lovely spot to live I grew up in a beautiful country spot and I know Scout will love to be there and enjoy the fun. The mud the Sun the rain. I love Rob that you clean the back of the house. Those boards. I'm a painter and I saw them straight away
Rob and Erin both of you are raising a beautiful beaming happy son...Scout!!... May the three of you at the moment enjoy a very fruitful and happy life in the bush setting you have chose....Pete from Devonport.
Love your parenting style. Brings back memories of when my two were little. Love that you are making the most of it. Blink and he will be an adult like my two. The big bowl of liquid chicken shite had me gagging 😂
Great to see how you are progressing in your new home. So cool to have all the forest sounds and all the birds so close by. Might be wise to use a decent face mask when doing jobs like cleaning out the hen house though.
Another tip with lichen and mould on walls and veranda's. Wet them thoroughly before trying to water blast them , it "loosens" up the mould, lichen, or what eve is staining them, then water blast it clean. You probably worked this out while you were water blasting the veranda, but I thought I'd just leave this here to make things easier just in case...!! I love the area where you've bought, not the suburb, the locality, it looks amazing, love the wildlife and tranquillity of the place... You've done well...! PS, a million bonus points for the guitar and the "risk assessment" with the little fella....👍
You're a stella Dad Rob. Im a bit older than you with three under my belt. Youngest is about your little ones age. Keep doing what you're doing mate. Your son will grow up before you know it, but unlike me, he will have your channels and adventures to watch, from a perspective...about how much an amazing Man his dad is. Keep chasing that ore bearing vein ;)
A little trick we used was to keep a large barrel outside to fill with rainwater when it rains. Then during blackouts we would get buckets of water from it to use for flushing the toilet and to warm on the wood stove to have a wash. We also kept a large 10 litre container on the kitchen counter with water so we could make a cup of tea. 😊
When my brother was Scout’s age he loved to crawl up the steps too and then would slide back down on his stomach. Wait for it…it’s coming. And Scout will be proud of himself and have a giggle. 😮
Los vi desde México! pongan subtítulos en español, Que bonita casa y lugar, también es motivador verlos felices iniciando su familia felicidades ; yo anhelo una casita así y con mis huertos porque el terreno ya lo tengo
in thinking about what this new channel can offer, besides a family story in a beautiful setting, i realised that your willingness to just give things a go (from jane river vs dunny pan) is something that is inspiring and quite informative. so keep trying stuff for the first time and succeeding, eventually....what better gift to give your next generation than the confidence to try.
Thanks for sharing the joy, Rob, Erin and little Scout! It's so enjoyable seeing the excitement and fun you derive from achieving the necessary, and in the evolving homestead, and charmed to the eyebrows the multitude delights you and Erin have shared of the family. Looking forward to seeing more of the gardens and grounds, and environs, the local creek is at the boundary you say? Any finds of history, by ground archaeology, chook shed stash, roof insulation newspapers and magazines? Although it seems a seventies or eighties open plan design, the lichen-covered angular cladding, the bones may be older, I don't know, but know you'd share whatever may be interesting you come by. May you all be safe and continued happiness and sharing in the journey. Cheers from Gabi of Narre Warren, Vic.
Loved the setting. You are blessed. Hey, suggestion. Always have a 10l container that you can get water from your tank. Thatll do cooking, coffee, etc. Good luck with your home. Being in nature is MAGIC. We had our own bush home at Lewisham many years ago and loved it. We built it.
It’s so refreshing to see young parents being proactive with a child’s growth, these days so many parents are either reactive before any dangers have raised their heads, or just letting screens to raise the kids. You have a wonderful place to raise him I’m very very jealous even though my wheelchair would have difficulty there lol can’t wait to see more. 😊❤❤
dont put your chuck poo mix on straight, dilute 1 part poo to 5 parts water ,if you dont you will burn your plants as it will be to acid, but it does make a great fertilizer. Great to see a young family living the real dream, well done :)
Hi Rob & Partner & Scout, Have been following your adventures for years and now the new channel. We have an 11 month old, Charlie who is just 6 days younger than Scout. Watching this video is almost a mirror image of our life right now in Melbourne. Will definitely be stealing the Headtorch on the box idea, Charlie loves boxes. You're a legend mate and stay strong in the hazy days from the sleepless nights. We're yet to visit tassie but we're in the high country VIC most weekends. Would love to meet you all for a coffee on your travels one day. Will, Shiobhan and Charlie
Just came across your RUclips video , looking forward to joining you in your journey. It's so nice to hear a bout an Australian you tube er taking the travels for a new way of living
Congratulations on your new home, it's coming together really well. I watched your other video when you moved in. It's a beautiful place you got and I look forward to more content. BTW, you have such a cute, adorable baby ❤😊. Best wishes. Just subscribed 🎉❤👍
I’ve been raising chooks down SA and chooks have always had a tin shed for shelter and I have never had any problem with it being too cold. I use deep litter under their roosting area usually wood shavings or sugar cane mulch which is easier to put into compost than hay
Dilute that liquid from the bin before putting on your plants. Try the easy to grow stuff like the silverbeet before adding to everything. You might find it full of Nitrogen. Add to your compost, clean out drum and start your own mix.
As lucky as you both are to have that beautiful baby boy in your lives, he, in turn, is one lucky boy to have you both in his, what a journey you are all on. We appreciate you taking us with you.
Thank you so much for your sweet comment!

I agree! Now to work on Rob... hehe
Thanks for letting us into your lives. I love what you are doing and this new direction for your creativity. Really entertaining. Tassie is awesome.

Well said Patricia!
Thanks for following along Patricia! Big hugs!
It's nice to be reminded that there are still some good people left in the world.
What a beautiful video - I had nanny tears just watching Scout. Can’t wait for future ones - never mind the gold you have it here at home. 🤗
You two are resourceful people.
Leaking toilet, most would throw their hands in the air and call a plumber.
This channel is my few favourite on RUclips! I can’t wait for more updates and uploads ❤wish you both nothing but happiness!
Wow, thank you so much! Sending big hugs your way!
You both are so sweet doing everything so well.

Your whole family is unbelievably photogenic and if Scout is like his Dad and Mom, he'll have a melodic voice meant to be heard on the airwaves too!

Your channel is my best RUclips find for the year! I'm so glad I found you this early, so I only had to watch three videos to get caught up. 😄
Wow, thank you so much for being here!
You got a good voice for documentaries you should be a documentary narrator for work
Super amazing loving the content. That is such a magical place super excited to watch and follow your journey ✨️ ❤️ take care

Great video content Rob. Have been following for a while now. Must be a great feeling to own your own place mortgage free.
Scout in the box with the lights.. that was extremely cute…
