Nobody truly understands the battle you have when you are an alcoholic unless you are an alcoholic.
I had an uncle who died of alcoholism and we loved him just the same. Alcohol is bad but can be treated. Don’t forget that alcoholic people have souls just like we do. Love them all the more!
Sharon Stone attends the same church I do and she is not a drinker. She’s a very sweet and kind person. Always says hello, when we’re in service she is just another parishioner.

Alcohol addiction is a one-way street to a dead end.
When you have an addiction it just doesn't matter how much money you have. You are still a slave to the alcohol or drug that you are addicted to.
So many talented people with so much going for them, destroying their lives for what?
For three thousand years human beings have known the evils of alcohol. It is up to the individual to say yes or no, the same as drugs or cigarettes.
Please don't forgot since the 1950s the AMA has recognized alcoholism as a disease! A person in recovery is not a bad person trying to get good, he or she is a sick person trying to get well.
Their biggest problem is trying or wanting to be happy all the time, but who am i , i am smoking myself to death.
Being an alcoholic has been my downfall
In 1980, Hayworth was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease, which contributed to her death in 1987 at age 68. The public disclosure and discussion of her illness drew attention to Alzheimer's and helped to increase public and private funding for research into the disease.
Robin Williams struggles were with Lewy Body Dementia which was taking his mind, his ability to move and act. He was not drinking alcohol or doing illegal drugs at that point in his life.
Many have died of this disease. No blame or shame. Many can’t stop.
Rita Heywood was stunning
Robin Williams death had absolutely nothing to do with alcohol or illegal drugs, he was also suffering from depression and anxiety, he decided to end his life because he was suffering from diffuse Lewy body dementia and knew what was in his future from it and did not want to put his wife and family through that.
Yasmin Kahn is her daughter, not her son.
Robin Williams has been gone ten years now......What a loss........

Alcohol is mother of all evils
My step dad had alcohol dementia from years of drinking so sad and died from it. Then my step brother died as well died from liver disease due to alcohol.😢
It’s a real shame to see how many have ruined their lives n died from their alcohol abuse. 😭
My son is an alcoholic, I feel better when he's out of work, and money. He doesn't drink as much, as when making money. He can't help himself, it's a horrible addiction
Alcohol is the worst drug of them all! It is the only drug that makes people at the way they do, getting violent and mean. I have been around alcoholics and drug addicts who were on several if not many types of drugs but the alcoholics are definitely the hardest to be around.
I liked Oliver Reed, very smart and very handsome.

This made me cry! Everything bad that has ever happened to me was due to having used alcohol before hand, only heavenly Father knows how many I led astray! I pray for these souls daily!

Alcohol addiction is a symptom. Psychological trauma is one, so is chemical imbalance. They are not outlaws, they are truly sick people and should be treated as such and not looked down on.

Gail Russell was so pretty and so was Rita Hayworth!
Rita Hayworth didn't have a son but two daughters. Her older daughter Jazmin was the one that took care of her during her downfall of dementia in her 60s and after some time died.
Alcoholics are just sick people. We need to be kind to them and love them. Love your brother as you love yourself

I don't think Oliver Reid saw any down sides being an Alcoholic.
many times, especially when folks are lonely as many "stars" are, alcohol seems like a sedative to the lonliness, but it can and does become the cause of lonliness, right?
There is no substance known that can compare to alcohol for the number of lives ruined.
Maybe the current stuff flowing across our open border will replace it over time, but for now, alcohol is king death.

I am sorry to hear that Michael Landon was an alcoholic. He did good work, but he caused his death with his drinking.

It depends how you use it. It was safer choice from water for thousands of years. Now, it became social signaling... judging and moralizing is in poor taste.

So much cash but they cannot have logic in their proper life and what about their own kids! Sex, drugs and Rock & Roll!
So many of them finish their life so abruptly!
One thing most of these actors should have done if they had morals and respect was to realize you don’t drink on the job and directors should have put their foot down on that!! Maybe that would have been a wake-up call. Intervention also could have helped!
Seems more money and popularity a lot of them have they take on substance uses.

Outstanding documentary. Sad stories all, but each one in some way a matter of choice, choices driven by underlying pressures, reasons, and even a bit of genetic predisposition. Alcohol remains the number one addiction. I should know. I have found alcohol, primarily in the form of wine, to have had an admirable effect on anxiety and depression, contrary to most expert opinions and predictions. We all have our coping mechanisms.
The reason so many ppl can’t recover from alcohol addiction is b/c they think they can do it themselves. They need to be in AA and start believing in God who will help them if they ask Him.

Robert Downey Jr, Brad Pitt, Zac Efron, Ben Affleck, Billy Joel, Stephen King, Lindsay Lohan, Drew Barrymore, Tim Mcgraw, Elizabeth Taylor, Betty Ford, Richard Long, Anissa Jones, Dana Plato and Jamie Lee Curtis Just to name a few more.

If this dose not make it clear that fame and fortune are not the answer. Man is born into trouble as the sparks fly upward. We are born in sin shaped in inquity. God created us for Himself not sin.Jesus gives life and Peace. To those who trust in Him.
Sharon Stone is an exceptional woman. Extremely intelligent. Of course, men diminish her because she is so attractive and most likely told many a man to fudge off. Men are pissed since they can't have her. I am proud of her.
Sad, only ten percent of them found lasting recovery and died in their 80s. My impression? Get accountable about your condition or plan on health and economic disaster. Ninety percent of the list went out on a losin' streak!!

They forgot Dean Martin....he was drunk many times in the 70's while doing variety shows...it was embarrassing to watch it.

I’m sorry I can’t feel sorry for them as they had a choice Life or Drink my nearest and dearest is dying due to Bile Duct Cancer and she never smoked and only a social drinker once maybe twice in one year
