i miss this game so much, its one of the first game that made me feel like i was already fighting the final boss and finished the game and only to realize that was literally just the start of the story and that final boss that i thought was just an area boss, i thought it was nearing the end coz there was so much to do before getting there and other mini boss to fight and the scale of that boss felt epic in proportion. this game is a really fantastic interpretation of japanese lore and i love it, and also sad coz few people know about it
Dude, this game, this marked my entire life as a gamer. I cried so much when I finished it the first time. Evertyhing of it I felt so fantastic, the combats, the art, ahhhh, the music. Seeing this makes my heart beat so fast.

Okamiden is the sequel, it was out for Nintendo DS. I highly recommend it, it was fantastic. Again, very underrated, hopefully if this is successful, they will remake okamiden for home consoles and hopefully just maybe make more games in the franshise.

this game played its part in changing my life, its full of so much universal messages and unique creative beauty that most games fail to portray artistically... this game means alot to me and i have to tell my friends and family (who love games) how magical and phenomenal this game is cause it made me the same in my own sense. i dont need a sequel of the games as its alrdy a masterpiece altho i hope clover studios can make and publish a game independently without capcom.. the industry as a whole restricts too much of creative capabilities and this needs to be known other than that this game was made for a reason and we played it for a reason

I’ve played the new spider-man, all God of wars, the last of us; virtually the biggest games of our time. Okami will forever be the best game I’ve ever played. Proof that you don’t need expensive voice actors, flashy graphics, or huge promotion to make a great game. This title is a masterpiece and I would greatly recommend this game to anyone.
I never got the chance to play this on PS2 so now I’m glad they made for PS4 and X1. Looking forward to the old Adventure games that really gave you quite the Adventure. :)
They should have remade this on the Wii U. It would have worked well, but it wouldn't have sold well. Why they haven't remade Okamiden on the 3DS? Why there hasn't been a sequel of this beautiful series? Why this isn't coming for the Switch? It shouldn't be too hard to port

I'm not crying, you're crying.... although a sequel would have been better rather than giving it the Skyrim treatment, & I wish they'd done something to improve the graphics (read: there's no need for that constant blur anymore... it has its upsides, but mostly downsides) but Okami is still a great and vastly underrated game, so I hope this brings in some new fans!

I think the rice paper filter is fine, but there's this odd other effect where it looks like all the frames of animation kind of swim into each other... it's hard to put, but it's a look that I've seen put a lot of people off the game entirely since it's hard to look at at first (which the HD version slightly but not completely fixes)

As a kid I saw this game on a ps2 demo disc ( anyone remember those ;)? ) and I played the demo so many times, I asked for it from my parents but then they kept “forgetting” so then I forgot, but know I’ve downloaded it and I’m loving it
PSA: The PS4 version has touchpad functionality for brush strokes, with R1 and square bringing up and using the celestial brush. Though it also shares its trophy list with the PS3 HD release, so no new set of trophies for those who've played through that version.

just google blockhead puzzle solution okami, i finished platinum trophy last month on ps3 and i had to kill blockhead in kamui to get my last stray bead edit: you have to draw dots in correct order (from 1st dot to last)
Seriously my favourite game of all time got this on PS3 HD last year. I full on did 100 % on this game every stray beed every bit of solar energy every sun fragment literally everything. I forgot to do a save file just before the final temple so I could't explore the whole map once I beat the game. Its nice having the whole world unlocked. It brings up a new save file from the beginning I had the String of Beads but couldn't use it in its glory cause the game started me from the very start! Either way best best game ever so worth the purchase and the time!

Stray bead 78 is the BIGGEST PAIN EVER... But you get to fight story bosses again, so it's not terrible.
