To be fair mate i think its all looking pretty good . If it was me i wouldnt bother treating for fluke as they seem pretty sparce at the moment. As you already have your pond salted , have you thought of a course of Alparex ? Ive gotta admit i swear by it and have used it all summer if ive added new fish . It ruins your viewing pleasur as it sends the pond toxic green but it really good stuff . Just a thought , keep the videos comming pal 👌👍👍👍
Hi mate, I did treat in the end as more fish flashing! They’ve been great since to be honest! Best to treat now before the temps drop! Yeah I’ve used alparex before, it’s good stuff! 🙏🏻
Hi mate, great update. Can I ask why you salt your pond during the summer months if you don’t have issues in your pond? I only salt my pond during the winter months while the fish don’t eat and are more susceptible to bacteria problem’s. I do salt if there is a problem in the summer.
Hi mate, salt is good for boosting their overall wellness, there are plenty of pond salt benefits. Consistent exposure to low salt levels can help reduce stress levels while improving gill function and oxygen intake in your fish. More importantly, pond salt aids in the development of a stout slime coat on your koi that helps protect against parasites, bacteria, and other toxins in the water. And as an added bonus, it introduces beneficial electrolytes to the water, which help support a variety of bodily functions from heart to vision. Hope that helps 🙏🏻
Hello mate has your temperature dropped much because that can make them sulk also you could reduce your air a bit more as too much can cause swim bladder issues . If it was me I'd fluke treat now before the temps drop even more 👍
Hi mate, yeah it has over the last week or so, you could have a point there to be fair! I’m gonna hold off on the fluke treatment just for a few days and see how they go as only found them on the one fish! Strangely they all seem much better this afternoon when the pond has risen a couple of degrees! I’ll keep my eye on it mate 🙏🏻
@@bezzaskoichannel3856 no problem mate yeah mine are the same 👍 Think of fluke treatment like worming a dog I would do an end of season treatment saves dealing with it in winter I'm not sure if you can mix with salt though you'd need to check 🤔
I have the same issue, one fish sulking but a few of the others flashing. Scraped and found flukes on one fish, treated but still sulking and flashing so putting it down to the temps.
I wouldn't treat for one fluke It could simply be the change in water ot just the falling temperatures ... if you don't have a firm thing wrong what are you going to treat for . The only thing I might do in thay situation is salt to 0.3
Good update pal 👍
Thanks pal 🙏🏻
