I spent years at Dimmy in the early 70’s. a delight to see the yard again, but most of the sidings have now gone. Can’t believe the box is gone. It was over 40 levers, in its heyday.
I've only travelled this section twice. Dimboola to Horsham (and on to Melbourne) in an AE behind a 3rd series X (long end leading) and an S departing at dawn. Yes, a 3rd loco was added to lead the train, but I don't recall what it was. I was on my way to Somers Camp. :) On the return trip 2 weeks later, the train terminated at Horsham and I wondered how I was to get back. But of course there was a 153hp Walker to get me to Dimboola. :) Yeah, it was a while ago.
@@driver667 no, I hadn't expected one would be permitted on the mainline these days. I'm well overdue to get back to Daylesford. Or Healesville for that matter. A bit closer to me for a Walker ride. :)
Carpolac: an auto manufacturer from Poland. Dalhen: a female Dalrooster. Pimpinio: a song from the Italian version of Mary Poppins, Maria Poppina. How about a Driver667 Q&A? Do you drive for VLine? Do you drive for a heritage group? What driving do you prefer? Do you swap or obtain videos from other drivers? The WATCo videos are not on their channel so are they from drivers? Can you recommend other Australian channels?
That's a lot of questions. 🤣🤣 I am a vline driver which includes heritage trains on the main line. I film my own videos including the Watco videos. Watco have been great allowing my camera to go for a ride on their trains. 👍😀
ive never seen those wagons sitting in the siding next to the silos at dimboola travelling anywhere. are they just scrap waiting for a free trip to china?
It was a great day after a late departure and X31 made it back to horsham even with the small problem ruclips.net/video/SbhjazsfuJQ/видео.htmlsi=vTSXaNNvGdPGYtYV
