No. His life is not the reason why he is so loved by people. His art has captivating magical powers. There is the truth and every atom of his soul there.
The movie was excellent blew me away...made me cry & the song "Vincent" really hit home to me, after all these years 😥

im trying hard not to weep again when the song plays and they talk about how van gogh must be happy to have artists telling his story
Saw Loving Vincent this weekend and am still enthralled! The film is a masterpiece and the story thought provoking. The level of detail in the painting animation is beyond mind blowing. I look forward to experiencing the film again and again!
I have his art prints hanging and stare at them everyday, love the art and story of Van Gogh
What a wonderful tribute to Vincent, God Bless them all !
I too am an artist and have followed him for a long time now and have wept a few tears for him too. I can understand where Vincent was coming from... the loneliness not fitting in and the poverty. The suffering is immense . He was an enigma but yet so
brilliant🎨💙
This film was as brilliant as the starry night Vincent painted. A must watch. 🙏🏻🥰❤️
Love, love the movie, and yeah, it’s masterpiece job! 😍❤️
I saw it...unreal!
This is freaking amazing!! 💙
All these commentators are so animated and passionate when talking about Vincent Van Gogh. His life story and art seem to have that effect on people. Yet during his life so many turned away from him; he made people uncomfortable. This is a paradox about Vincent.
Although he suffered he created his art anyway and would not let personal hardship nor his own shortcomings that he was acutely aware of stand in his way.
Douglas Booth is one of the most beautiful men I have ever seen !
Most Excellant !!
Amazing...
this is awesome
well done guys, the film was amazing and very sad and moving - a masterpiece of a film including the visuals the music and the story line. 5 stars

Van gough reminded me of a gentleman that came to window at work, asking if I was in the gym? Resembling a middle age Van Morrison as well.

yeah, who sponsors all this whim?
BayanTheOne buahahaha. It was via Kickstarter. But it's still artistic
Why doesn't the actor resemble Vincent even a little bit?
All these guys go off the path of conformity and enter into the unknown. The don't follow the rules, instead create their own.
the actor sounds and looks like jon snow
Turning Van Gogh's work into commercial illustration may be good for the visual illiterate public but it gives a false impression of the quality of his work. It also shows your shallow understanding of painting in general.
Unfortunately the film wasn't very good.
