Make a Quick Winter Boat Cover for Your Sailboat

Watch this video and make your own quick winter boat cover. The “Quick Winter Boat Cover” process is faster and easier to make than the “Traditional Winter Boat Cover” process. Why is that? Well for one, instead of making boots for a better seal at all obstacles, such as stanchions, a simple slit is made in the fabric to allow for obstacles to protrude. Second instead of making zipper flaps, zippers are simply sewn alongside the fabric’s edge which is covered in binding.

Love this cover!!!! A couple of questions: how many seasons (roughly) will it last and can I sew it on a home sewing machine? Thank you - love your channel and especially love your voice!! :)

The fabric SureRite is warranted for 3 years. I would expect it to last for 5 to 8 seasons under normal conditions. If your home sewing machine can sew up to 4 to 5 layers of blue jean materail then it is possible to sew this cover. Thanks for your kind comments!
