Hi I am a beneficiary of my mothers trust. There were some bonds from the 1930s. The Feds said 13 months and the funds would be available, that was the beginning of July. My sister, the Executrix, sent them a note and was basically told, “we’re busy go pound sand” the trustee died 20 years ago. We have sold her house that money has been distributed among the 4 heirs. There is no probate. There were no creditors my mother had zero debt her house was completely paid for. The only reason the federal reserve even has the money was to launder it. That’s been done. So, what can I do about this? I am a legal secretary and the workers at the federal reserve are reminding me of Los Angeles County court clerks. Lazy.

So when the firm is waiting to disburse funds, and they are collect interest on the estate holdings is that interest added to the estate?

I'm in Connecticut. The judge just approved sale of my aunts estate and the closing is this Monday. If all things are set with creditors how long after closing do you think beneficiaries will receive their funds.
