Sending you Healing vibes, may you recover quickly. I found your channel last year and have watched every episodes but have not made any comments till now. Thank you for being so generous with your wisdom and openly sharing everything, from your garden to your kitchen, to your travels, and the bloopers. I've enjoyed them all and re-watched many episodes, recommended to my family and friends, and learned so much. It's not only your beautiful films that are a joy to watch but you make everything shine with your contagious laughter and love of life. You have loyal followers and we're all praying for your complete recovery.
Kaye, sometimes we go through these peaks and valleys in life and it's the journey to the other side that makes us stronger. Please know that you are not alone in this journey. I would love to seed flowers for you in time for spring or volunteer in your garden. Praying for you my friend. Hugs.
Kaye, I have been watching your channel for over year now but I have never commented. Just wanted to jump on and say I’m so sorry that you have had this accident, hang in there! I will continue watching and supporting. I hope and pray you heal quickly and completely.
Looked back a video to see how you broke your shoulder and got your other injuries. My heart goes out to you for all the pain you've endured. Sounds like your doing all you can to heal. Slow and easy does it. I know there's a silver lining out there for you!
Thanks, Sharon! It could have been worse. Just goes to show you can't take anything for granted. xxx I've still managed to keep making videos. Can't wash dishes, but I can edit with my left hand!
oh, Kaye, I am so surprised to learn this sad news. However, you are quite a strong and resilient woman, so I am confident that you will heal fully very soon. Meanwhile, rest assured that we, your subscribers, love you and pray for your speedy recovery. Thanks for sharing this update. You are missed.
Oh Dolly was so right, I'm so glad you did this video. Sending healing prayers for a speedy recovery. Wish I lived on the west coast would love to help you out.
Oh, that is so sweet, Liz, I really appreciate the thought. It's not the garden that's getting behind, it's the dirty dishes in the sink and not being able to cook. Hubs brings home pre-made deli food from store. A dear friend started feeding me a week ago and I already feel stronger. She's a great cook! ❤
Golly gee whiz! It is really tough to give a thumbs up to someone telling their story of being injured and missing out on their obviously loved gardening. Wish I lived in California so that I could be your garden slave for awhile and bring back your lovely smile. Get well rapidly! You obviously are respected and loved by many.
Kaye, Kaye, Kaye! I'm sooooo sorry this happened to you and wish you a speedy recovery. I'm sure there are a lot of gardeners out there who have had to put their gardens on hold due to an illness or accident. This will be one more way we can learn through you to cope in the garden whatever comes our way in life. I gotta say, this is much worse than your powdery mildew plague.
Sending you healing vibes from Japan. Hope you feel better soon. There are a few videos which I would like to watch again, so I will do that. Editing must be a chore, but if and when you feel up to it, perhaps videos with less production might be good. Ask Kaye! Q and A, where viewers submit gardening questions perhaps. Any way, hope you have a speedy recovery.
Do not look on this as a disadvantage that you cannot use your right arm or hand. Take the time to learn new things. It is very hard to find a left handed mouse. Find a game to play and practice with your left hand with your right handed mouse. put a dot on the left click button. You can do it. In high school the sports teams hand to do everything with the opposite arm or hand to learn better coordination. The only exceptions were eating and writing. Although I did learn to eat let handed and still do sometimes. We won't discuss how long ago that was, but it has helped me my whole life. You will be surprised at what you can do. Be very thankful that this is not permanent. Keep the faith it will get better and you will be the better for it in many ways. See you soon in the next video.
Kaye, sometimes God wants us to be still. I had a brain tumor removed and a facial nerve stroke after surgery. I learned to trust when trusting was the hardest thing to do. I'am fine now. Catch up on some reading, movies, plant some seeds and ,oh yes, watch gardening vids on You tube.I always enjoy your channel and envied your weather,(but not your bugs). Get well soon. Luv ya.
I've never wanted a lazy boy recliner and reading lamp more, haha. I am watching TV, something I rarely take time for. yeah we DO have a lot of bugs. THX!! ❤
I miss my garden and it's because of the season, so I understand that desire to get your hands busy in the garden. Praying for a complete recovery for you. If I didn't live all the way across the country, I'd be happy to help. Take one day at a time!
Kaye - I am so sorry about your accident. I wish you a speedy recovery. I love re-watching your garden videos, so I'll be sure to continue doing that as you recover.
Kaye you look beautiful despite what you’re going through. Stay strong, your garden will be fine. Don’t despair you have a lot of friends out here. I just planted my seedlings this last weekend, most of them heirlooms from Baker Creek and I’d love to share them with you when they’re ready to be planted in a couple of months! Get lots of rest and let our Creator take care of everything, He’s good to us!
Oh that would be awesome! So please record their progress so I can make a video when you come! Take 16x9 high res photos (if you only have iphone no camera, you can download Camera+ app to use. /in settings change format to 16x9, iphone 6 anyway only shoots 4x6)
Dear Kaye. I am SO sorry to learn of your awful injury. You must be in so much pain, so I'm sending lots of love and hugs and good wishes for a speedy recovery. From Gilly xx
thank you Kaye for sharing i hope you do well ....we will hang in their no worries ...we love an care about you and will watch your videos over an over
Kaye. First We Love you. Pro tip. Go out there and record a 29 second video on your cell phone of one little tiny garden update. U will feel better. We will be happy. Bones break but heal better than before. Kisses and hugs.
Exactly. Sounds like you have an android. Your RUclips App on your phone can handle everything. Edit . Trim. Name the clip, upload and all. Use WiFi to save data on your phone. Google Photos is the app that made that video u mentioned . Its called google assistant. That feature on Google photos can help you also. Google photos is an alternative to your youtube app when it comes to uploading to youtube.
I will see how things are going in a week. Without any big changes, Thursdays will be mostly maintenance for at least a month and not much to video which is why i had been planning to use that time to crank out the remaining travel videos.
I'm so sorry about your accident. Glad you gave us an update. When RUclips tells me you uploaded a video it makes me smile. It gives me something to look forward to. Hoping for a speedy recovery.
Kaye, I'm so glad you made this video. The healing process has started albeit in a small way. Don't go out in the garden no matter how tempting that would be. One small fall or bump against something could be very bad in these crucial days. You can think of more setting down videos. Reminisce about your best days. Sending lots hugs and love Patrick
Please take the time needed to recover and know that when the appointed time comes, viewers will continue watching your segments. For now, I think it’s a great idea to go back and view all of your past episodes to date. Thank you for sharing the incident, and thanks be to God you are recovering. I lift you up in prayer to God our Father in Jesus Christ.
Your channel is very good channel i love all your video's. I know your channel will make it an all of your subscribers will support you in what ever. I wish you well an a speedy recovery.
Kaye take care of yourself, keep the faith and you'll get through this bump in the road. Who knows after all this you'll be able to do things with your left hand that you weren't able to do before. Blessings to you and your family.
So sorry to hear about your accident. Here's to a speedy recovery. We will be here when you get back. I'll be watching your playlists and archive of your past videos. Enjoy your garden as you can -- and appreciate those plants that can take care of themselves so well!
I'm sending prayers for a quick recovery! I loved seeing you are up and about. I'm very hopeful that with your healthy lifestyle and positive attitued you'll heal very quickly. You are loved by many and I hope you can feel that. I would definitely watch a weekly video of just you talking to us and keeping us updated. Keep your chin up!
Enjoying playlists Kaye. Yes, Puerto Rico puts things into perspective. Knowing we suffer together can soften the pain. You look great. Monarch dreams to you.
Oh no Kaye. Just hang in there. You will be better before you know it. The worst of it is that first eight weeks. I had a broken ankle and an apparent pinched nerve. You look great and you will be back to grubbing in the garden by spring.
Well, I'm coming up on 8 weeks, and it's hurting like heck this afternoon, but, I went out in the car for first time and did a few simple errands to test myself. Thanks for thinking of me! See today's video for the latest.
I look forward to your evolution through this, Kaye. There are so many thing I (probably we) would love to hear you discuss. If you can’t do, you can teach for awhile, if you have the time and desire while on your healing journey. If you ever want to talk about ableism in our North American society I’m ready to talk at length about it. Sending love, staying tuned! XO
Good to see so many friends and well wishers sending in their prayers and best wishes your way Kaye . One day at a time , when times are tough makes it easier to get through , our best wishes and prayers are with you Kaye , wishing you a complete and speedy recovery . Good to see you. I truly believe that God lets things happen for a reason. His ways are certainly not our ways. He may want you to be still...keeping you from passing thru some type of harm [ worst than your going thru]. Remember He sees what's ahead.
Kaye, from the first time I watched one of your RUclips videos I really admired you and your style. Thanks so much for sharing what happen to your arm. I see with your garden help you are getting somethings done - Yeah! I am happy you shared and you are mending!
We won't be going anywhere... just like waiting for spring up in Canada, we must be patient. How long until you are healed do the drs say? It's good time to train that left hand and become ambidextrous ... I know the pain must be brutal, but this too will pass. Rest, Rest, rest. I helped both elderly parents get over hip surgery, (one planned and one not).... so I know how difficult this can be. Don't be afraid to ask for help. When you get to the physiotherapy stage, just keep going.. one step at a time.. be well
We will always be watching your channel.Even if it’s seeing it over and over again. In every video we learn something. Quick recovery. Will be waiting for you from Puerto Rico.
Came here after I saw your latest video when I didn't know you had an injury! I gave a thumbs up because you asked it and are so sweet, not because your injury was a good thing! I'm with you, I am down with a fractured knee bone, weakened from steroids.... and walker/wheelchair after operation. Sad watching my seedlings neglected, but wife Joycie helping water. Get well soon, will stay current with you, so please keep us informed. Best regards, "Farmer" Bob, Vero Beach, FL
