That was a good episode but when the Warlock suddenly popped in and mind controlled pikachu, I was just stunned, leeson backflipping was also just next level.

The awful design of the fossil mons in sword and shield is a nod to the early days of archeology, where people would just stick bones together and make crap up. Honestly I love their designs in that sense, they are supposed to be weird and lazy.

the exp share should’ve had an off button, it’s bloody pain to try and get everyone to the same level when you can’t turn the level sharing off, and keeping the higher level ones as an oh feck button can be fairly important
39:25 Shadow Sneak is a priority move that always goes first, like Quick Attack. I don’t think that Mimikyu would outspeed your Litwick or Pikachu without it.

It’s so much fun to see the way minimum battle challenges forces you yo get creative and use pokemon you wouldn’t have considered before. I mostly just like seeing challenges that aren’t Nuzlocks since those are way over saturated.

When I clicked I thought it's what's the minimal amount of battles to finish XCOM and I was surprised it was pokemon. But I liked it nonetheless.

Now I am curious of two statistics.
What is the minimum number of battles to beat XCOM 2.
And what is the least hostiles killed.
I suspect it would become a problem as we cannot pick what sorts of missions we want to do at times.
Although with a mod we could force certain mission types to see what could be done with stealth only 🤔
Hmmm…. For minimum missions. You’d really focus on gettting an A-team leveled up quickly for the final battle. And that final battle would have The Chosen, because we don’t go to their hideouts

And the game might take a while.
So we might have to defeat the chosen seperately regardless for the sake of the opportunity to beat the game.
@@glenmcgillivray4707 I suppose you’d want to get the most experience in the fewest number of missions, so yeah, taking down the chosen may be the way to go.
I haven’t watched his Spark Only run in a while, they don’t need experience, yeah? Maybe you could build lots of sparks so you don’t need so much experience to build an A-team

And probably a mod to ensure the most valuable perks are available.
And you probably lock yourself into one or two territories because you won't have the resources or mission profile to win/participate in most of the defense missions.
Maybe we could see a chosen sky ranger defense mission 🤔
You could probably only do it on Rookie difficulty, as otherwise the AVATAR Project would increase too quickly from skipping missions.
Tail wind only works for a certain amount turns( like 3 or 5) before It “peters out”.

I’m not sure a speedrun would lead to minimum missions. Especially if you measured real time.

and i have to concede.
but thinking about it, this wouldnt be fun anyway. almost a rookie only, without proper gear
@@10011110011 yeah, I’m the same way: I’d rather watch a challenge run than a speedrun.
A speedrun that uses the in-game calendar could be neat, but it would probably hinge on rng too much.

Ever thought or considered trying to do a Minimum battles, no grinding run in Pokemon Violet/ Scarlet?
I am trying it… Seems possible but quite the challenge imo (trying it, choosing Fuecoco).
33:36 You do know, at this point it just sounds like you don’t like it when a Pokémon is or can be a challenge or difficult.. Like everything should be just made easy and victories a slice of cake… Or just because a trainer is a random one, they are not allowed to be tough to beat.
Maybe it’s rng but, not against the type advantage stuff… It’s something that makes these challenge concepts worth it… You can’t just waffle stomp everything with ease…
And if there’s no or less threat of losing or in a nuzlocke losing a single Pokémon anywhere or only in stuff like rival fights, gyms, the league, etc then… Means the random trainers should be complained about for not being remotely challenging ever, regardless of how you try to challenge yourself…
For you this is an issue but to me, it’s music to my ears- a challenge to be accepted in a challenge run & looked forward to!
Cause the point of a “challenge” type play through IS the challenge…
Also… From watching another do a minimum battles of Pokémon Violet ( *RUclipsr: Pikayoon* ) and doing my own (copied his stater 🙇🏼) I have found in minimum battles sometimes winning is just naturally a rng thing… But I can always back out- take a break and I still have 3 other Mii characters with different Violet save files. (I made 5 Mii for the sale of not “having to delete” a save just to have another play through; doing something different than the other(s).
35:07 lol I have more than one Mii character, so for each Mii a new/ different save; so even though I only bought Pokemon Sword, I have 3 or so accounts co-existing 🎉 🫡

I primarily don't like the newer Pokémon games because of the poor Pokémon designs but this just confirms that at least the absolute newest one is utter garbage with some of the worst gameplay designs I've seen in Pokémon, good riddance.
