I can’t believe people are criticizing them. It’s a “tribute” concert not a “who can copy the Beatles the best” tournament. I’m a huge Beatles fan myself and I felt overwhelmed just by the fact that the Beatles are still being remembered in such forms. It’s just that Maroon 5 plays it slightly different, by assimilating modern technology and mixing it with the retro (although I agree using auto tune was not necessary)
@@blazeesq2000 Someone off stage is either singing them or they're on a recorded track, which I doubt to be the case in this instance. Either way, they are there but barely audible.
It’s a tribute, the whole event is. I don’t care if you like it or not. What’s important is that they took the time and effort just to pay tribute to one of the best bands of all time. So if anything Maroon 5 deserves respect not criticism.
But they DIDN'T take time and effort. For examples... They didn't bother with the harmony vocals, the rapid-fire triplets in the rhythm strumming, or the solo, for All My Lovin'. It was like a scratch track with just the basic drum/bass backing that you'd throw down on tape before you worked on it to actually make it good.
Appreciating the effort of Maroon 5 notwithstanding, covering any Beatles tune is fraught with problems. They did a decent job, for that they can be commended
It's because there are plenty of amateur-pro Beatle tribute bands who play these songs far better than this. It's not that they have to sound "exactly" like the Beatles. The whole performance of the band just... lacks... energy... zzzzzzz. The whole happy energetic vibe of these songs that The Beatles used to absolutely pour out of themselves on stage is missing, and the songs fall flat.
It’s not the singing that’s bad..it’s their performance - the Beatles had the biggest smiles on their faces when performing and were clearly having fun while nodding their heads to the beat and tapping their feet in sync...as for Maroon 5? Nothing really happened there
Clara Braun It’s cuz while the Beatles were touring, they were the best of friends. I never get that vibe from Maroon 5. It feels like they’re together out of commercial necessity rather than an actual love for music.
that's because the beatles are the beatles. every member has a trait. whereas maroon 5 is more like adam levine and the maroon 5. there's no synchrony. maroon 5 seems like Adam Levine's backing band if anything.
I saw this for the first time. And I got to hand it off to Maroon 5 to not only giving us. What the Beatles had sounded like back then, I can only imagine if the Beatles had the equipment like they do now. Would have sounded. Thank you Maroon 5. And thanks Fab 4.

Don’t apologize. Think you opinion is a popular one. Of course the original is going to be what we all compare covers too. classic music is classic for a reason. Adam did a decent job at the cover. Rarely do covers improve on the original. They usually supplement it for s new audience.

I thought it was very poor. It is plodding and dull. People who used to poke fun at Ringo should take heed here. There are a lot of things wrong with this from the sleepy vocals to the boring simplistic bass playing. But the drumming. Ugh. Ringo could drive this song and make it go like nobody's business.
These 2 songs that Maroon 5 performed as so great! Maybe people are criticizing them just coz adam levines voice is higher than the original but i mean give them props for having the balls to perform these songs in front of paul and ringo

In my humble opinion, as a person who grew up in the era of the Beatles emergence, Maroon 5 did fine job in their tribute!
Not bad, but it misses the vocal harmonies so essential to the songs.
That and John's triplets are completely left out, one of the most notable things about the song. Shame...
Where are those high harmonies? I had to sing to myself to enjoy the song. I love Adam Levine, but that was a huge miss.

Adam's voice just isn't suited to any of those songs. It sounds wrong.
