Just my personal testimony, I can't blindly recommend psychedelics - When I was atheist, I took psychedelics that made me think deeply of my innocent friend who was going through some hard times. He was a good man and devotely Christian, so I didn't really understand. All of this eventually helped me to finally understand what it meant when Jesus, who was innocent and perfect, suffered and died for our behalf. I thought about how similar the two were, learned more about Christianity and went to Church.
I think it may depend on what you're prone to thinking about when you're in deep thought and contemplation. Some people ARE suseptible to dark thoughts, so beware. I know I am not immune.
Its interesting bc i actually came to Christ through magic mushrooms. It was simply amazing! The love and grace He gave me was put of this world. I think plant medicines can be used for Christ. I simply use everything for Him

I prayed to see the truth behind DMT took it and saw Lucifer on a throne in hell I did get knowledge of good and evil tho but yeah I definitely got the message that this is not knowledge that we should acess
This testimony is excellent and so relatable for me in my past. I ate off the wrong table many times too. Many times after ayahuasca for me I’d smoke weed or take mushrooms and I’d be back in the same place I was in the ayahuasca ceremony, like I had been exposed to the same forces of ayahusca each time thereafter as the drugs were just a gateway to the same place but the eyes were more open after the ayahuasca. It’s often said that these class of drugs are gateways to harder drugs. That needs to be changed to all recreational drugs are gateways to the demonic. Would you consider weed edibles to be a gateway to the demonic? What about someone like me with awful PTSD and diagnosed anxiety disorder as a veteran? Someone who has been recommended indica weed edibles to help cope with my countless issues? What if said edibles often times cause me to have existential crises? Does this mean that I’m simply meant to suffer even if I fast, pray, and devote my life to Christ? Why am I plagued with constant suffering?

All the things I was hearing would give me respite gave me very little to none at all. Those things included various drugs, prescribed and not prescribed. I heard a voice that said to read the Bible and so I did. At that point I believed Jesus was a myth and that we were all God experiencing himself. It was heavy going but I started to feel a shade better. I started listening to mere Christianity by cs Lewis and his Screwtape letters. Both fantastic. I still had difficulties understanding what I was reading and I found a Derek Prince study on RUclipscalled Curse to Blessing. It was great, and it put things in a way that I understood and could make sense of what I was reading in the Bible. There was a prayer at the end to make your own on his video, but I couldn’t say this prayer. Something in me didn’t want me to say this prayer. I listened to his video at work for about 3 weeks and wrestled with saying the prayer. “Will I, won’t I?”. Then I thought, “I’ve got nothing to loose if it doesn’t work so why not?”. So I did, I made the prayer my own and it was one of pure repentance and asking forgiveness from God for my sins and I confessed my faith in Jesus and that I believed he bore my sins for me to save me from hell, and that he died for me and was buried and then resurrected 3 days after and now sits at the right hand of God. In that moment I finished my prayer I washed clean by God, made a new person, given a new heart, old man was dead, new man took his place :) no swearing, no blaspheming, no drinking or want for it, no drugs or need for them or want for them. All gone. I went from unbelief to belief. The message of the cross no longer sounded like foolishness but powerful and alive and full of the spirit and it was 180 degree turn in everything for me and I saw with new eyes, everything. It’s a battle for your soul in this realm so don’t give up no matter how heavy things get. I discovered that it was a battle for my soul. We are so precious, each and every one of us to God. We are his children and Jesus came to reunite us with our Abba. Look up that video on RUclips I mentioned. Give it a listen. The penny dropped for me and not long after as I said I finally managed to pray. The weight on me before was excruciating and then after I was saved it was gone. I’ll pray for you. We need each others prayers and we need all the help we can get. Lots of love to you. Jesus has a burning desire and love for you. Amen

Dude is so deep into religious psychosis, that the anxiety of a guy leaving him in his probably pretty negative and unfamiliar flat, coupled with unconscious guilt of returning to a lifestyle he got shamed for, gets conflated with demons. I feel sorry that all of your religious trauma surfaced during an experience on a sacred, ancient mushroom that our ancestors universally used to induce religious experiences and to enter the spirit world. I hope, that with more enlightenment, you can shake off some of the shame you probably faced and can use this sacred fungus to deepen your relationship to your God:)
How about also stating “if you don’t feel you want to try them, or you’ve had a bad experience, that’s also okay and you don’t have to do them”? For some people these kinds of things really mess you up. These things aren’t suitable for everybody.
@@almost.sweettalk.caffeine that's a fair point. I should have added that in. He's clearly sought it out though, that's why I sorta didn't touch on that. But you are correct in that, not everyone has to try or use them. 👍

I feel that mushrooms should not be abused but used as a tool to help people get through specifics.
I feel like you don't need to get high on drugs to experience Gods love and supernatural beauty.

Nah. These plants shouldn’t be separate from Jesus. Ayahuasca brought me to Jesus from Hinduism but all I had known was Catholicism.
