(Sorry I don't remember the brand or model.) This bar sits a bit higher in the doorway, giving me more ground clearance for movement, and the foam grips and foam pads that protect the doorway are thicker. It was also very quick and easy to assemble. The only minor gripe I have is that the hand grips in the middle are really tight on the bar, and therefore hard to slide along the bar if you want a wider or narrower grip. You have to be patient and gradually work them into the position you want.
an easy alternative for weight vest that I personally use as a beginner, is for example backpack full of books or other stuff. Just make sure it's tight and it works for all sorts of things. Overall great video and you explain the pros and cons well!
The taller parallette bars are actually very versatile. You can do a lot of the same exercises with them that you can do with rings, pull up bars, and smaller parallettes: dips, body weight rows, curls and tricep extensions, as well as push up variations, levers, knee tucks and L sits.

Pull up bar tip: Short of building your own pull up bar, or drilling into your ceiling, a squat rack is generally a better choice than most commercial standalone pull up bars. Even a half rack can do the trick and will be comparatively cheap (~US$100). They're usually sufficiently stable and can be weighed down even further by either storing a couple of weight plates (they usually have integrated plate storage) or by placing a couple of sandbags on it.

TRX doesn't have to be expensive. I bought generic ones (IRibit) for like $20 and just hung them on my ring cables. They are excellent for niche exercises (like ring curl, TRX crossovers, etc.). They might also increase difficulty of dips (you have one less dimension of stability than the rings: your wrists can roll)

I made the same mistake with the Weight west. Bought it pretty early on when I started and pretty soon moved on to weight belt and kettlebelts. Never seen the west ever again. :D
I use my vest in multiple cases where the belt could be inconvenient: push ups, body rows, pike pushups, frog stand, jumping squats and the like. I even use it for cardio. I will buy the belt one day or another but the vest is not a waste of money so far.
i have them all except the parallettes. i own the power block selectable weight dumbbells and have been using them as small, low parallettes. sure, they could be higher, but as you metnioned with the other ones, you can just set them on top of things. because they can weigh up to 50lbs each, there's not really much fear of knocking them over. i also thread the strap on my dip belt through and wrap around the handle when i need to do weighted exercises, with the idea being that if you want more than 50 lbs, you can just thread it through both handles. this has worked for me, and until i'm ready to start getting serious about planche, i'll just keep with what i have. Also, not that i think about it, my pullup bar that i use inside (same as the one you show in the doorframe) can be flipped upside down and used as parallettes.
1) Rings (The best, allows all upper body movement. Everything) 2) Telescopic Doorway Pull-up (Good for pull-ups and even rows if installed lower) 3) parallettes (Incredible for skills... Pushup variations, Handstand variations) 4) Dip bars (Dips and Rows are incredibly helpful exercises... Skill works are possible too.)
If you buy rings, make sure the straps have incremental lines marked on them so you can keep track of high to place the rings for different exercises.
or just mark them with a marker
But it doesn't matter too much since strap strech by the time so the marks will be usefull and inaccurate after sometime

Same here^^
I really wanted a weight vest at the beginning. But now after training for a while I never actually use it and sold it again
I use my vest in multiple cases where the belt could be inconvenient: push ups, body rows, pike pushups, frog stand, jumping squats and the like.
I even use it for cardio. I will buy the belt one day or another but the vest is not a waste of money so far.
Exactly.
Not recommending a weight vest? Ok then show me how you do weighted handstand push-ups with a weight belt?

Hell yeah dude
i have them all except the parallettes. i own the power block selectable weight dumbbells and have been using them as small, low parallettes. sure, they could be higher, but as you metnioned with the other ones, you can just set them on top of things. because they can weigh up to 50lbs each, there's not really much fear of knocking them over. i also thread the strap on my dip belt through and wrap around the handle when i need to do weighted exercises, with the idea being that if you want more than 50 lbs, you can just thread it through both handles.
this has worked for me, and until i'm ready to start getting serious about planche, i'll just keep with what i have. Also, not that i think about it, my pullup bar that i use inside (same as the one you show in the doorframe) can be flipped upside down and used as parallettes.
1) Rings (The best, allows all upper body movement. Everything)
2) Telescopic Doorway Pull-up (Good for pull-ups and even rows if installed lower)
3) parallettes (Incredible for skills... Pushup variations, Handstand variations)
4) Dip bars (Dips and Rows are incredibly helpful exercises... Skill works are possible too.)
