How can a person find salvation? Here are the Steps to Salvation.
[1] Acknowledgment: We acknowledge that we are sinners in need of a Saviour. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; / Romans 3:10.
[2] Confession: We confess our Sins: 1st John 1:9 [ E.g. Like 15:21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven] and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.]
[3] Repentance: [Sorrow for sin and turning from it..] Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
[4] Baptism: Mark 16:16.16-He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
[5] Church Membership: We are baptized into Christ and into the body of Christ-THE CHURCH. 1st Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.Colossians1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church
[6] Live a life of obedience and service in the cause of Christ. (1st John 2:4 ) He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1st John 2:6-He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
"When we live for Jesus, life becomes sweet and fulfilling"
"Satan has ability to suggest doubts and to devise objections to the pointed testimony that God sends, and many think it a virtue, a mark of intelligence in them, to be unbelieving and to question and quibble. Those who desire to doubt will have plenty of room. God does not propose to remove all occasion for unbelief. He gives evidence, which must be carefully investigated with a humble mind and a teachable spirit, and all should decide from the weight of evidence" (3T 255). "God gives sufficient evidence for the candid mind to believe; but he who turns from the weight of evidence because there are a few things which he cannot make plain to his finite understanding will be left in the cold, chilling atmosphere of unbelief and questioning doubts, and will make shipwreck of faith" (4T 232, 233).
