At the end of the day, if you are paying thousands of $$$ for a model to walk down your show, you want your clothes to stand out. Remember her mother comes from a time which fashion shows were mostly for instroducing the spirit of the collection. Now many do ready to wear. They wanna sell. Therefore, they want the clothes to shine, not the model. And the fact she understood that only show professionalism. She will definetly go far.

In my opinion having charisma and presence in your walk as a model actually gives the attention to the clothes. When I look at 90's models like Yasmeen Ghauri, it's like they made the clothes alive. Idk if it's the entire industry that has changed but I feel like today's fashion shows are merely shows, they don't put more work to make it a performance with a punch like Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood in Cafe Society, or John Galliano in his Princess Lucretia collection. If that's the case then that's for them to blame tbh bc idk about y'all but if you're going to make your pieces expensive af and high quality better might as well make it memorable for the audience.
Kaia has a great walk and is gradually finding her mark and what sets her apart. She walks better then her mother and is in the same ranks as veteran of her generation the Gigi’s, Bella’s and even Kendall’s however will take time before she gets to level of a Naomi, Yasmeen, Giselle and Karmen Kass when it comes to dominating the runway. But she’s definitely got the potential and time on her side.
Kendall is not a model IMO. Anybody can be a model if they come from a super rich family obsessed with beauty and can afford plastic surgery. That doesn't make you model material, it just makes you modelesque.

Daughters of models are usually good (Anna Cleveland is another example). Not only because of genes but at least they grew up being exposed to the industry. It's those children of millionaires, reality stars, actors, etc. that makes nepotism look really bad.
Some designers like swaying hips and some don’t. As a model, it is your job to make the clothes look good. The designer usually tells the models what kind of walk they want for the show and that is what they are supposed to do as a professional. Models have to be versatile, don’t know why some people can’t grasp that lol

There’s a little resemblance to Cindy but Cindy is on a whole other level of beauty and presence. When Cindy walked into a room or was photographed she was captivating and stunning!
It's absolutely true that not all models are good on the catwalk and I feel for every model because of the scrutiny and criticism they get. Every model needs to go thru training and practice to learn the catwalk because there is an art to it. It's not as easy as it looks because there is a choreography to it sometimes. Even models who are not tall enough to be on the catwalk have to learn the catwalk because it affects how they carry and express themselves when doing a photoshoot. A lot of posing techniques do come from catwalk training as well, e.g. like when they pause at certain points on the runway or at the top of the runway. Most agencies will rate their models according to how good a walker they are and the ones who are rated the highest are usually booked for the best/most prestigious shows/brands. I modelled a bit for a time, and I went thru the training even though I wasn't tall enough to do runway jobs but I still had to do the catwalk when I did jobs involving hair shows for brands like Goldwell. I was with one of the top agencies in Australia (some models at the agency worked with agencies like Elite, Ford, Storm Models in other parts of the world) and Singapore for a few years when I was in uni and because I wasn't tall enough to do runway jobs, my booker in Australia didn't ask me to jump onto the runway to show her my walk. I started out at another smaller agency in Australia and I did my training there a few months prior. It was during a casual walk in go see that the bigger and better agency took me on straight away so I never did walk for my booker till quite a few months later when on a visit to the agency one day, she suddenly told me to jump onto the runway and show her my walk. She was the one who trained all newbies and was a former model herself. Because I rarely ever had to walk for anyone, I got a bit tight and nervous but it was a really good feeling to hear my booker say to me....., you have really nice looking shoulders and a nice walk...., I wish you were taller, I'd definitely send you out for a lot of runway work. If you look at models like Yasmeen Ghauri, Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks who I think are the top three of their time on the runway, there are a few reasons why they look so good, (1) they know how to move their bodies without their shoulders swaying too much, but especially with minimal shoulders going up and down when they are walking (2) They sway their arms when they have their arms down, but you will notice they hardly move their arms from elbows down and if there is some movement from elbows down, it's usually very slight and subtle and they keep their arms quite close to their bodies (3) They don't bounce up and down too much when they walk down the runway. These are the most important things models are taught when going thru catwalk training.

In my opinion having charisma and presence in your walk as a model actually gives the attention to the clothes. When I look at 90's models like Yasmeen Ghauri, it's like they made the clothes alive. Idk if it's the entire industry that has changed but I feel like today's fashion shows are merely shows, they don't put more work to make it a performance with a punch like Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood in Cafe Society, or John Galliano in his Princess Lucretia collection. If that's the case then that's for them to blame tbh bc idk about y'all but if you're going to make your pieces expensive af and high quality better might as well make it memorable for the audience.

Kaia has a great walk and is gradually finding her mark and what sets her apart. She walks better then her mother and is in the same ranks as veteran of her generation the Gigi’s, Bella’s and even Kendall’s however will take time before she gets to level of a Naomi, Yasmeen, Giselle and Karmen Kass when it comes to dominating the runway. But she’s definitely got the potential and time on her side.

Yessssss! I grew up watching Cindy and those girls. Technically she is better than her mom. But Cindy had a more playful aura about her.
Kendall is not a model IMO. Anybody can be a model if they come from a super rich family obsessed with beauty and can afford plastic surgery. That doesn't make you model material, it just makes you modelesque.

Some designers like swaying hips and some don’t. As a model, it is your job to make the clothes look good. The designer usually tells the models what kind of walk they want for the show and that is what they are supposed to do as a professional. Models have to be versatile, don’t know why some people can’t grasp that lol

It's absolutely true that not all models are good on the catwalk and I feel for every model because of the scrutiny and criticism they get. Every model needs to go thru training and practice to learn the catwalk because there is an art to it. It's not as easy as it looks because there is a choreography to it sometimes. Even models who are not tall enough to be on the catwalk have to learn the catwalk because it affects how they carry and express themselves when doing a photoshoot. A lot of posing techniques do come from catwalk training as well, e.g. like when they pause at certain points on the runway or at the top of the runway. Most agencies will rate their models according to how good a walker they are and the ones who are rated the highest are usually booked for the best/most prestigious shows/brands. I modelled a bit for a time, and I went thru the training even though I wasn't tall enough to do runway jobs but I still had to do the catwalk when I did jobs involving hair shows for brands like Goldwell. I was with one of the top agencies in Australia (some models at the agency worked with agencies like Elite, Ford, Storm Models in other parts of the world) and Singapore for a few years when I was in uni and because I wasn't tall enough to do runway jobs, my booker in Australia didn't ask me to jump onto the runway to show her my walk. I started out at another smaller agency in Australia and I did my training there a few months prior. It was during a casual walk in go see that the bigger and better agency took me on straight away so I never did walk for my booker till quite a few months later when on a visit to the agency one day, she suddenly told me to jump onto the runway and show her my walk. She was the one who trained all newbies and was a former model herself. Because I rarely ever had to walk for anyone, I got a bit tight and nervous but it was a really good feeling to hear my booker say to me....., you have really nice looking shoulders and a nice walk...., I wish you were taller, I'd definitely send you out for a lot of runway work.
If you look at models like Yasmeen Ghauri, Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks who I think are the top three of their time on the runway, there are a few reasons why they look so good, (1) they know how to move their bodies without their shoulders swaying too much, but especially with minimal shoulders going up and down when they are walking (2) They sway their arms when they have their arms down, but you will notice they hardly move their arms from elbows down and if there is some movement from elbows down, it's usually very slight and subtle and they keep their arms quite close to their bodies (3) They don't bounce up and down too much when they walk down the runway. These are the most important things models are taught when going thru catwalk training.
