You make me really appreciate all these songs. It's easy to dismiss the originals after hearing them be so prevalent, but something about only hearing portions of each paired against each other is amazing. Keep it up :)
For the most part, it doesn't matter what genre, if the songs have the same chord progressions, or if the melodies match the chord progressions of another song, you can just pitch shift the vocals to match the other track and el wammo, successful mashup. However, the amount of work it takes to actually get the two samples to mesh together and sound somewhat normal is impressive.
