Big thanks to Chris Del Rey on here for suggesting Amy Winehouse mashups. I've been struggling to think of a good concept with her music lately and the suggestion got me moving to think of something! Ended up coming up with this.

It would have been pretty difficult with Welcome to the Black Parade since it is in a major key while Back to Black is in a minor key

1:36 That heartfelt "Can you see" building up with Winehouse's dramatic piano... Damn, do you ever do all the culmulative emotions some justice.
This is so cool! You can hear Gerard Way's trying to yell his anger on top of the repetetive harmony that was design for Winehouse's preformative apathy. The situation in both songs is quite simmilar but the singers deal with it very differently and this cover feels like someone preforming apathy on the outside and screaming on the inside. It's one of the best mashups i heard, and i heard a lot
I like to think Gerard and Amy would've been pals

Good god, this is amazing. Like, I totally picture both of them, Gerard and Amy, singing to this together, and it's so freaking good I can't stop listening to it. I'm pretty sure even Gerard himself would approve of this.

aww thank you! i change the pitch fairly often but it's usually just to the instrumental if i have to :)

i used the album titles because it made for a better title :)
For it to make sense, I think "Famous Black Words" could work. Great mashup tho!
ImSoLament Thank you! I do this a fair amount of the time though. If i can't think of a good title, i usually incorporate album titles. Back to Black and The Black Parade made it pretty easy :)

Honestly these 2 songs are a match made in heaven, they fit perfectly with each other!

oh lord if i could snap my fingers and come up with a concept i'd have like 5 mashups up per day LOL
sometimes i just scroll through all of my materials to see if a song in those folders would sound well mixed with whatever song i want to mix.
That's kind of what happened here actually lol. I knew i wanted to mix Back to Black and i came across my MCR materials and starting working with FLW!
