INDEN realized this and began creating designs that fit for both warriors and Japanese trendsetters alike. Following the progression of Japanese trends, INDEN recognized a position in the women's fashion market for accessories which fit for kimonos. Japanese women began wearing beautiful designs, acknowledging INDEN's reputation as one of the luxurious and stylish brand. Today, the timeless story of INDEN lives on.
Our Craftsmanship INDEN products are carefully made and constructed by Japanese artisans with the same traditional procedure. Each of INDEN product is carefully checked through and packed one by one into a small gift box. The artisans of INDEN are well trained for decades and will pass their skills to the next generations.
Our Materials INDEN's products are manufactured with a unique, 400-year-old technique of applying natural wooden lacquer over deerskin. The patterns are made of washi papers, and all the complex designs are made by hand. Deerskin is characteristically very soft and light, and the lacquer functions not only as a decoration but also as the protection of its surface. As a result, the INDEN's products are resistant to scratches and can be used for an extended period of time.
