Albert is a second hand seller. His only crime was to witness a robbery than by a group of men which a police officer was part then told his friends about it. The bullion van story also was the same. The robbers are officers so we pray this one doesn't swipe under the carpet.
A military officer once aimed his gun at my head in N.Nigeria. My crime was wearing medically recommended glasses through a military checkpoint. I could tell he was high on drugs. But I can never forget what he said, "...I will shoot you, kill you, and use only N20 to buy a pen to write a statement that I killed a terrorist". And he was damn right. If that had happened, he would definitely walk away unpunished and my life wasted for nothing. It is already hard enough to demand accountability from political leaders across Africa. To see that arm of law enforcement, supposedly protecting the lives of citizens, abuse that power to the point of murder, beats my imagination to this day. Neither government nor the law, I wonder who is on the side of the common man.

The Ghana Police is one unprofessional state institution that knows no SHAME , this is not the first time they have done such things ............. A month or two ago they told us the same story when two police officers accused of being armed robbers were arrested and were being sent to the hideouts of their gangs - the suspected police men were killed and we were told this same kind of story. The questions are; 1) How did an arrested suspect/suspects who is/are cuffed engage them in a shootout??? 2)Why must you send suspects to the purported hideouts of their gangs?? 3)Can't you go to the hideouts through directives from the suspects ????

This was exactly what happened to my uncle 30 years ago in Nigeria( Edo state) My young lovely uncle he was in his early 20tis he was living in our family house in the village my father was the first child of the family and this my uncle was the last child so he called my Dad father and we have elderly Brother relationship with him He was kind and gentle one day his mum who was my father step mom came running back from the village to our house in the city crying tell my father that his junior Brother has been arrested by the police and that they came very early in the morning before people wake up to arrest him accused him of selling marihuana and they didn't let anyone go with them but mentioned a particular police station in Benin city that they are taking him to So my Dad hurry up and get ready took some money with him called some friends and able family members to help him out so the journey begins they went to the particular police station those policemen mentioned they told my family that he has been taken to another police station for 3 months my father and the rest members of the family was running around all the police station in EDO state and they will say A today and say B tomorrow then later someone that came back from jail said he saw my uncle in jail at the Northan part of Nigeria an information that was late prove to be false my family look for uncle osas for over 10 years following every little information or link they got time to time Mind you there was no social media non mobile phone at that time maybe if there was that would have helped us in some way until this days will don't know what really happened to him but will believe that he was probably killed before the got to the police station or at the police station before my family got there 😭 the incident affect my childhood since there was never a grave to cry or open mourning for him because we were thinking he will come back some days that was how 30 years go by 😭
