we ate belgian chocolate, saw the little boy peeing statue, enjoyed some frites and mayo, bought a beret, had coffee at franks, and enjoyed schweppes macam
we just love the belgium Travel life, it was amazing and we show you some of the best things to do.
We go to the most instagrammable spots in brussels (belgium), we stay in the best hotel in brussels (the moxy by marriott) we also try all of the best local food on offer
it was an amazing weekend travel break to hidden gem in europe.
the flight from Manchester to belgium was quick and easy and we will definitely be recommending this destination to others and going again ourselves.

public transport busses are 2,50 per hour and trams are even cheaper so shoulda went with that tbh
Price is the same for buses, trams and metro, but there is a discount for tickets bought at a vending machine (€2.15 in stead of €2,50), however, there's no need to buy a ticket these days, if you have an NFC-enabled bank card (and probably something like Google or Apple Pay on your phone, too, but I have no experience with that), you can just pay with that. And as with London TfL, there's an automatic cap per day, so you'll never spend more than a day ticket. Only if you stay for longer, without using the public transportation enough to reach day tickets, I'd opt for the 10-trip cards at €16+€5 for the Mobib card. Extra bonus, tickets on Mobib are valid on trains within Brussels as well. Don't forget to validate!

Next time you could take the train from brussels airport to the city. It's cheaper than a €15 bus ride. Or maybe take the eurostar train. It also goes straight to the city. What's also a possibility is to buy a daypass for the metro and share it to open the gates for everyone you bring along. It's illegal, but everyone does it
That's if you land on BRU (Brussels Airport), they landed on CRL (Brussel South Charleroi Airport). The bus from BRU would be cheaper still, either De Lijn (at €3/ticket, buses go to Brussels North Station) or STIB/MIVB (€7, but only from the airport, to the airport, the general ticketing of €2.50 applies). The train is €10.30 for a single, nowadays.. But I agree, the train is very convenient for BRU. CRL on the other hand is much less connected. If you want to travel by train to CRL, you'll need to travel by train to Charleroi-Central and bus line A to the airport. The bus alone costs €5, the combined ticket for bus and train is €16.80 and the whole trip would be slower...

1) If you land in Brussels airport, you can just take the metro to the city center it's easier and takes only like 10 min.
2) Don't take fries or chocolate or stuff in and around the Grand Place, most are actually not that good and very expensive tourist traps)
€5 for fries is just ridiculous, I got some for €2 just outside the city center

Well, as someone that lives in Belgium, I'd use the rest to take the train and get the hell out if Brussels.
Preferably to Antwerp.

have to update your budget! this price was correct 2 years ago! after embargo of russian you have to add 50euro extra for same taste of brussels! all things are minumum double this time! war is expensive!
4.50 for a waffle? I went to brussels recently and got a waffle for 2.50 right next to "le grand place"
This one was topped with chocolate sauce, but admittedly, it's still expensive. And it's a Liègeois waffle, not a fluffy Brussels waffle (which is harder, you can't make it hours before and reheat it, it has to be made fresh and eaten fast, before it cools.)
