- Hello everyone! Today we are going to be going over the basics of brushing out your English Cocker Spaniel or other drop coated breed. A clean coat stays tangle free longer, and brushing the coat is an important aspect of properly caring for our dogs. Ernie is currently in a modified show trim, all his furnishings are short while his topcoat is still carded.
If you're wondering what brush to use check out our video on brushes!

Just bumped onto your helpful video. Being a soon to be English Cocker Spaniel pup dad in a few months I love to see this. I know I have to start brushing in little steps, but a 'how to' like this is very useful. Thank you so much!
Glad it was helpful!
Ernie has a beautiful coat & a really nice personality
so nice to see an English Cocker in more reasonable length of coat. I keep mine in a similar coat.....still spaniel looking....just more of a sport length. 😊
This is SO helpful! Thank you!!
I have two ECS brother and sister, one has a fine coat that is easy to brush where the other does not and is both a pain to brush plus mats quickly. I wish mine would stay so calm when I brush them, it is a chore. Good video and what a good looking dog
What a beautiful, happy dog...and those ears are truly magnificent!!
Thank you🥰
Good boy! I’ve one Cocker too but mine doesn’t like brushing
Could you show how to properly secure the pet to the grooming loop and how to adjust the height?
