Hi, Did you use only-games to print your Turner models? If so, how does the Victory scale with the Warlord offerings? I ask because I recently got some miniatures from them and while the third rates and fifth rate lined up nicely the HMS Britannia was very small. I wasn't sure if it was just a whoopsie during printing or if the 1st rate models tend to be under scale.
Hi I had the 1st rate HMS Royal Sovregin from warlord games (before I sold it) and compared to the Turner HMS Victory and also the larger HMs Caledonia it, lined up fine.
@@LinusNapoleonicShipyard thanks for the response, I'll assume they accidently flubbed the scale on the Britannia, then. I'd like to source my first and second rates from Turner since they appear to have much better geometry than Warlord's and are less delicate than Meridian. Also great job on your Victory she looks lovely.
@JFulls94 I used a combination of Vallejo off-white, tiny bit of cork brown and yellow ochre. I also used warpants fanatic barren dune. I started very light and shadowed using thinned down army painter soft tone. Then, I brought it back up in sucsessive highlights using paints above. My inspiration was the updated hull color of the historical ship. Hope this helps a bit.
@LinusNapoleonicShipyard was looking at Army painter fanetic space dust or ice yellow, both very pale yellows, I tend not to mix paint as I'd struggle to replicate the same colour every time. I also use speed paint 2.0 brilliant 👏
@JFulls94 I also use ice yellow it's good! I might have even used a bit of thay for this ship can't remember 😅 If you want singles try the ice yellow with barren dune as a base and soft shade for the shading. Speedpaint is great to I like the grim dark and blood red especially. I like that I don't replicate exactly every time, which makes the ships slightly different even if all have the Nelson checker. Maybe in history they also veried in shades depening on use and materials.
@naroe2001 on the Victory I am using photo etch backstays. Normally, I attach the lines under the part sticking out for the shrouds. On the back edge of it.
Amazing work there. Bit beyong my skill level lol. Those mast kits look scary. I do play and love Blackseas. But cant find anyone else willing to build and rig the ships.
Good grief man! That is absolutely incredible! Fantastic work. You are incredibly talented.
Thank you. Hope this can help others into the hobby. The more the merrier. My wife calls me a shipoholic already!
Just completely flabbergasted, Magnificent! Great work!
Thank you! Do you also play Black seas?
Absolutely stunning!❤
Thank you! A glass of wine with you, sir!
How long did you work on it ?
It looks phantastic !
Cheers Meickel

Hey! What colour did you use for the hull, i personally use ochre yellow, but i prefer the colour of your hull. Thanks :)

How do you attach your backstays to the deck. You appear to have a small feature (white), what is it?
@naroe2001 on the Victory I am using photo etch backstays. Normally, I attach the lines under the part sticking out for the shrouds. On the back edge of it.
@@LinusNapoleonicShipyard ok, thanks for the info.

Where are you in the world? There must be clubs? And thank you!
Там что под микроскопом надо все рассматривать?
Yes more or less.
