Tho I get where mouse and nyan are coming from, there are some gray areas within the premise. Yes, growing up in a Caribbean household if food is put in front of you, you WILL eat it! It doesn't matter how slimey, bitter or grotesque it is, you WILL eat it or else. However, that is a culture you have to grow up in. Tbh I would'nt expect a foreigner to eat what we eat, epsecially those from the US and UK, they tend to like simple foods. Also, he did pay for the breakfast while anticipating something worth the price, so there is that. I mean, I probably would of bought kfc too in that situation, but before that I would of hawk down that bad raddish mofo and make it look like the most delicious thing ever lmao, but that's just how I was raised, and would'nt expect it from anyone else.
It's person to person.. I'm from EU and while i'd eat it because it would feel super rude and embarrassing to just look the waiter in the eye and leave, there are plenty of people here who'd not only leave but complain about it too..
*"Yes, growing up in a Caribbean household if food is put in front of you, you WILL eat it! It doesn't matter how slimey, bitter or grotesque it is, you WILL eat it or else."* Personally, and maybe this is just me, but I would take the "or else". I am not fond of doing things I don't like just to please a bunch of aholes. If I don't like something, I am not going to eat it. I will apologize and say it's not to my taste but I appreciate the thought. That should be more than enough. And if it upsets you, take that experience and maybe find out what kinds of foods I like instead of being salty over it. Not everything needs to be turned into some over dramatic aggressive confrontation. XD There are simpler ways to go about it where everyone can be happy, instead of having this weird cultural mentality where suffering through food you don't like is normal lol.

It's like if you go to one of those restaurants that drop off complimentary sides to your table without asking. It's nice, I wouldn't feel obligated to eat it. I'm a waiter at a Brazilian restaurant that does that. I don't get offended when the customer leaves and I see that they hadn't eaten it. It's complimentary, they didn't ask for it, it's whatever. I mean, I hate having to clear off full plates when bussing the table, but that's another issue. Point being it's not something worth being offended about as a food handler.
I mean I had to eat everything on my plate too for a little while as a child. Started puking mid meal a few times and that was that. I think that's one of those moments when a parent goes from "You will listen because I know best" to "Oh fuck I'm being a bad parent". I'm lucky tho I know some parents in that situation would just double down like, "Oh so you wanna act up and puke then huh?"
The true crime isn't not eating the breakfast of the B&B, but choosing McDonald's breakfast over literally anything else they could have gotten for breakfast.
Literally McDonald's in any developed country outside the US is better than US McDonald's because the food standards are actually good and dont allow them to dye the chips to look more golden etc like US maccys
wow, here in italy even at a 2 star hotel they give you choice of what to eat in the moring. not a lot but more of the time you can get coffee. milk. tea or juice - brioche and toast with nutella - butter or jam. sure they don't force you to some raddish
This depends on where u are from and how u are brought up. Some Americans and Russians are known to be terrible customers, because the idea of being both a guest and a customer is a foreign concept to them. Ussually their consumer behaviour, ruins the experience of other customers. And in other countries where social connections are the drive of society, they go overboard on the guest aspect, while primarily being a customer. In this case Connor has a excellent point not being obligated to eat something he doesn't want 2. On the other hand u can imagine that many people would love to go to Japan to test out everything and now hear someone skipper breakfast to eat western junk food :p. I'm with him. I was raised in a household where you eat what is served to you as well. But that only goes for family/friends or if someone you know serves you the food. If you're a paying customer and got served bad food then you have the right to refuse to eat said shitty food. I don't see anything wrong with that. LOL
Well as a Russian the only thing I’m supposed to eat with a smile are my grandmas dishes. Otherwise We would be more offended if someone would lie about it being delicious. True friends are seen in truth not lies no matter how sour the truth may be, as we say.
The most terrifying instrument of punishment is the thong. You can't run, hide or dodge it. That thing will hit you from any range 100 percent of the time. It's even worse if it's brand new. The thong would be rock hard.
Meanwhile my dad told me that while I should always try the food, I shouldn't eat shit I didn't like. So maybe my parents knew that 9/10 I didn't like something there were legit something wrong with the food.

I will never understand this mentality that if I go to a restaurant or other food related business, where you are paying for a service, that you have to be polite and eat bad food... What? Damn your pfp made me sad
But, McDonald's, really?
@@ryuuteimaru5858 McDonalds is fucking bomb
Cultural difference, I suppose. Either way, he's already paid for the food but chose to not eat it? That's a waste of money too as Japanese hotels that serve those kind of breakfast aren't cheap.
@@PPP-ww2gt He isn't really strapped for cash? It doesn't matter if he eats it or not, the place was already paid. It's not like he just dined and dashed.

I'm sorry but the people saying Nyanners and Mouse are correct are just simps or 'YES' men. Connor PAID to STAY at the establishment. He didn't want the food that wasn't even his choice to receive, so he decided to get McDonalds with Chris because that's what they wanted to eat instead of a randomised breakfast they never even asked for. He was a paying customer, not a guest, so there is no obligation for him to eat food he never asked for to begin with. You guys need to understand that. If he was a guest at someone's house, then yes you do eat the food they prepare for you, but this isn't a guest situation, he was just a paying customer at a hotel/house service.
I don't even see anyone here agreeing with Mouse tbh XD

Okay but putting all the, Connor not eating breakfast stuff aside, doesn't anyone find it really cute that Mouse calls Nyan her sister?
Since Nyanners is a cat, would that mean she's indeed _Tungsten Cat?_
Unfortunately, breakfast at ryokan is light and healthy. It may be tasteless for people from other countries.
Besides, many people don't like shirako, even Japanese people. It's no wonder he can't eat it.

I mean: cod sperm sack. Why.
I think every culture has weird stuff to eat, Its just a matter of why should you eat it just cause you're there?
Mouses mom probably had this same rant at some point at her.
I showed the pokemon food from McDonald's to my kid and they said in scared voices "did they kill pokemon to make these?" I'm still laughing
If I was a guest in someone else's home, of course I would eat it whether I thought it was good or not out of courtesy. If I was a customer at a hotel, I don't think the staff would (or should) be pissed because I didn't want to eat their continental breakfast.
Same, you stay at a friends house or family it would be courtesy, but if you stay at a hotel you have the right not to enjoy the food if you dont like it.
This man's trying to get all of VShojo to hate his guts, lol.
I agree with Connor if your paying for something as a customer you have the right to eat it or not idk why mouse didn’t factor that in to account? And also I wouldn’t imagine arguing with someone about something they would know more about than me cause they live there and I don’t. I like mousy but damn lol
I mean even if its free, lets say you go to a friend's place, even if you'll eat stuff that you usually dont there is still a limit, Im not gonna eat sperm sacks just cause someone offers them for free in kindness, like fuck you can have them good sir.
Man, this hurts me. My friend's mom offered to make a meal for me, but I politely declined and went out to eat after that. She's a massive health freak, so she would make me like salad and I absolutely hate salad. I feel bad for turning them down, but at the same time I was as polite as possible and it's not like food was wasted. I did take them up on their offer to let me stay the night another time though.

It doesn't matter how slimey, bitter or grotesque it is, you WILL eat it or else."*
Personally, and maybe this is just me, but I would take the "or else".
Honestly im with connor on this one, i don't want to eat a shitty breakfast even if it's free

Point being it's not something worth being offended about as a food handler.
nyanners, dont forget your boxing gloves
I mean I had to eat everything on my plate too for a little while as a child. Started puking mid meal a few times and that was that. Gotta disagree there mate McDonald's breakfast slaps

Why’s mouse comparing food given as a guest and as a customer 🤨
( also it doesnt really matter all parties involved in this typical discussion are entertainers and telling a story in an entertaining way )
Cultural differences
Anytime someone gets upset I don't eat the food that someone offers I always tell them "What would be more offensive, me refusing to eat it or me throwing their food up in their face."

I agree with Conner, issa basic human right to want to choose what you wanna eat if you’re not at a family’s house or possibly with a best friend, ESPECIALLY if you’re payin money to stay somewhere.
Edit: Like, I fuckin hate wastin food as well, but I hate it when in certain situations at times there’s this notion that I should feel compelled to eat things somewhere in public just to be polite
You say you ate weird shit, ever ate crocodiles?
they tried to make that breakfast seem good in the vide but i knew they knew that was garbage

if you wanna bring the "but from where I come from" then I'll bring it up as well, from where I came from, if the food isn't good you don't eat it unless you are very hungry, that's right, I even had my grandma ask me multiple items if the food is okay and if I said no, she'd either recook it or give it to others who likes the taste
I will never understand this mentality that if I go to a restaurant or other food related business, where you are paying for a service, that you have to be polite and eat bad food... What?
