"In 2014, I released a song called "Ko Ki" in order to fundraise for a volunteering trip to Cambodia led by the wonderful non-profit organisation Raw Impact. At the beginning of 2015, I went to Cambodia, to help construct a community centre for the people of Ko Ki Village. This was an unforgettable experience - everything from the joy of playing games with some of the happiest kids I've ever seen, to the overwhelming realisation that I was able to use my love of music to benefit the lives of a community that barely even has access to clean water or electricity. Recently, I read that Raw Impact was embarking on its most ambitious project yet. After seeing the work that Raw Impact has done already, and being a part of one of their teams, there is no doubt in my mind that they can make this happen:
“This is the biggest thing we’ve ever done. 100 of the poorest families urgently need our help. The Cambodian Government have announced a bridge to join Phnom Penh with Gunty’s Island. This will force the relocation of 100 families currently living in slums. Every Piece Matters is about providing land for families so we can bring safe housing, primary education for their kids, rescue from debt slavery and provide a steady job for Mum and Dad. For every $5,000AUD pledged, one family can live on their own land.”
On that note, 100% of the proceeds generated by this song, from now until the end of June (when the fundraising campaign ends) will go directly to Raw Impact!"

Still listening to it in 2023, what an immortal homage to music, what a creative genius you are, Plini. I watched you live in Bangalore, back in 2019 - the only live performance I have watched in my life - some of the best moments of my life. Thank you, for doing what you do. May your music live on, thrive, and may it reach more and more people. Thank you.
Same!
the only concert i've ever been to was when Plini came to Bangalore in 2022. I'll never forget that day, he set the standards for live performances for me!
I discovered Plini music many years ago.He had no more then 30 views and i remember thinking;this music needs to be heard all over the world...and now..now i am so happy!:)
@AJ Alldaye Dan why are you so salty about a 2 years old comment lmao

This is by far one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard in my life. It seriously takes me to another world.
@Jaxen Andy ur right, no one cares
This tune is amazing
It does

It feels like the title is a description of the song. After each break, another piece , and every piece matters. Love this song.
One very simple thing that sets Plini apart from every other prog instrumentalist is that he's not afraid to just stay in one key for a while. Thank you Plini for not flexing all of the different chords you know just for the sake of appearing "educated".
ruclips.net/video/HB_CUWOER3o/видео.html cover brasuka
despite what you think, not everyone is "flexing" for the "educated" appearance lmao. you either can't play guitar for shite or you're just another malding boomer whinging for whingings sake.
Sometimes the most elegance is found within simplicity.
Actually it's a bigger flex for me that he stays in the same key and keep the flow refreshed and captivating during the whole journey :D
You just have forgotten the greatest and most successful instrumentalist of all time Joe Satriani. Someone who’s made his reputation for simple Melodies that are infectious. He has tons of examples lol check him out. 😂
Plini was my late son's favorite band. I wish I had indulged myself along with him when he played this. He was a fantastic bass player. He took his own life 3 yrs ago. Everything i hear this, I think of him.
What a wonderful person. Taking his music and involving his fans in the song, while simultaneously raising money to help out those less fortunate. Plini, you are an amazing person.

Somehow this song reminds me of the mood of "When you grow up, your heart dies"
Wonderful peace of art !
I can't sing very well. So I learned how to play along with the vocal melody line on my bass. It's a great feeling to feel like I'm a piece of this and in this one small way, that I'm a piece that matters.
Thank you for writing such uplifting and impossibly awesome songs Plini.
You matter because you are composed of matter.

I agree 100% not only has Plini helped his country and starving people. he involves everyone to help him spread his music. with everyone in harmony to the song makes it a million times more powerful and moves you me and many others.

One of the most beautiful prog rock songs ever made. Outstanding! Thank you Plini and everyone in the video. Great job.
when people say that technical/prog music has no feeling or emotion just link em to plini
Who says that? Not disputing your statement on Plini but the genre as a whole is usually a little more genuine than most
Maybe those who said that, need to listen to DT
Plini, Owane, Polyphia... such good music from this genre.
@@Tw1g007 >Who says that?
people outside your echo chamber. there are a vast array of opinions in this world.
I like how everyone comments other people coments. Like is this real?
Express you being.
That what this is all about.

I'm a guitarist, but I love how this shows Troy's feeling and sensitivity when composing drums for such beautiful song!

Plini, just wanted to say thank you for making such beautiful music. I can see how genuine and real your music is especially in this song, every single part says that every single band member enjoyed and poured their heart out to the song. Please continue to make my ears cry!!!
Love this.

holy shit its candyrat
I love the space that he allows in between licks. It's so expressive and is really something different from the typical shredding through a phrase. Really digging his sound!
This is the most refreshing music I have heard in years. Thank you Plini and Troy Wright. Remarkable.
I find it fascinating how I can hate your guitar so much, but still be so drawn to your music. We are worlds apart in what justifies a cool guitar, yet so connected in what constitutes a good song.
Thank you for being a paradox to my seemingly normal day.
I've been listening to your music for several years now, and every single release is just so captivating on such a deep musical and emotional level. This is hands down my new favorite track. The ending never fails to send chills down my spine. Artists like Plini, Polyphia, Intervals, Sithu Aye, etc are all driving instrumental music forward in such a great way.
You should also check out CHON and animals as leaders. Very original stuff they make
+Brock Steel AAL are one of my favorite bands, and Chon is equally awesome. Grow was a great album!
Don't forget David Maxim Micic!
+AbsentProductions you may dig Sean Ashe's new album, its lighter than some of that stuff, but blew my mind.
Prepare for the longest list of instrumental groups "you have to check out".........
History will remember Plini. One of those fine folks who played a vital role in changing the role of guitar.
This is my favorite song from Plini. 😍😍😍 I hope to see them live one day.
This randomly came up on my Spotify the other day and idk what is but this song just absolutely hits man. Something about this song just breaks through to me. Love it. Already learning it on guitar lol.
love sneaking your jams into the playlist at corporate conventions when I'm running sound...amazing as always, such good feels throughout.
Plini is the future of guitar music. A masterful player and a visionary songwriter who has yet to reach his prime. Plini brings the maturity and soul of a player well beyond his years, coupled with songwiting that sets him well above his contemporary shredders. Thank you, Plini, for the beautiful music! Continue writing what you love- you have a special gift.
Nothing is quite like Plini. Another tasteful masterpiece. Thank you.
This song in loop brought me through the last kilometers of this year's Berlin Marathon! Thank you for that!
This song is littelary telling "Grab that piece of wood and express yourself with some great music coz we want to know who you are."
True dat!
Yes .
I will do that
I am here because of the Rick Beato video. Have played Every Piece Matters at least 10 times in the last 2 days, awesome music. Big fan already hope they tour the UK.
Wow, amazing tone, phrasing, attack, chops....everything!
My husband and I have always said that if we ever have a big wedding celebration that this will be the intro to our wedding. This song is so beautiful. And the name is also beautiful to the meaning of love. I know theres no words but this song describes our relationship so much.
Amazing choice
4 years later and still in love with the snare sound!
The single most regrettable thing I've ever said in my life is calling Plini a wanker when I was an unenlightened brute. This man is quite possibly the greatest guitarist alive, and an unbelievable songwriter to boot. Great job as usual, you freaking genius, you.
Cheers for changing your mind admitting you were wrong! Plini is the shit, but i just couldn't get into him at first. Some music just takes time to fully appreciate.
This is one of those songs that always makes me feel better when I listen to it.
great song!
This song has soothed me many times before. Especially the intro is reammy soothing, with those pinch harmonics, and this wooshing sound effect. I really can say that this song has done a lot to me.
may 26th 2023 I just discovered this song and I'n already in love with it!
Wow, chills. That's great stuff. That's some rich humanity on display in that final section, love the crowdsourced choir.
plini. the music within you is very touching.
Just a killer song. All the lines are a masterpiece. The drums are fantastic.
true. great drumming indeed.
Love what you did with your walls, man.
Awesome as always Plini ! :)

I love watching people upon first listen when turning them on to you...you can see doors of inspiration open inviting them to take a ride with you forgetting how they got there and loving every aspect. My life is better for stumbling upon your music. God bless the internet. SUPERLOVE
dustradio666 love this comment :) well said
Got tears in my eyes at the end. Beautiful good sir.
You know, I'm listening to this at 3 in the morning, after making a lot of stupid decisions. But listening to this makes it seem like everything I did is all for a purpose. I really hope I get to see you and Tony and Simon soon. Lots of love from India :) you have fans all around the globe, Plini. Thank you :)
the chanting at the end breaks my heart AND I LOVE IT
Also the whole song is bonkers banging
There are guitar players that were so skilled you want to give up on guitar...but here this man... I want to learn to play like you.
Is not the first time i hear this song, and still can't get over the level of quality of it
You right Plini common people singing your music ...this is so beautiful.
Awesome song! ...and your t-shirt is the right length...DOUBLE AWESOME!
This is one of the best songs we've ever heard. Seriously, great job guys! Love it.
I try... But I always cry with this song. Dammit Plini, you are a deity.
There is a certain familiarity with the melody and structure of the piece that associates with euphoria, nostalgia and peace. Each note and movement so uncannily composed to bring the listener to goosebumps... every time.

The way you have the collab of everyone for that vocal part is absolutely phenomenal man. It's so creative, inclusive, and wholesome. Absolutely astonishing work man. (Not to mention the great guitar playing!)

This really is a beautiful work of art. That vocal finish is so powerful. Masterful work, everyone. Well done! 👏👏👏
so much depth and vibrance on a different level. Plini, animals as leaders, and Chon are the 3 bands that are evolving my way of thinking right now.
Word.
Aw come on man, you gotta add Intervals into that list.
+CoDisafishy I'll check him out! I'm really new to the genre bro, I found chon about a year and a half ago. listened to them about 5 hours a day and learned most of their grow album. then I found plini from chon. listened to chon and plini for about 5 hours a day and learned most of sweet nothings on the drums, then I found animals as leaders and I'm currently about half way through learning joy of motion. I'm obsessed
Alex Gonzalez Shape of Colour is really good and it features Plini on the song Libra.
That's a great comment and really indicative of how music can influence people who are open and receptive.
Have never watched someone else other than Vai himself play this so well. Incredible job!
was going to attempt to learn it until about the half way mark lmao
Amazing song......
2:05 that bass harmony is wonderful
Plini was making quarantine/from home music. Such as visionary man!
beautiful song dude!! last part restored my faith in humanity somehow :)
Owane I agree! Some powerful stuff going on right there, and totally enjoy it
Ha ha what about faith on myself of some sort
that was one of the first times music made me tear up in a loooooooong time. Its beautiful
Not a metalhead never have been. And i had finally come to the conclusion pretty much all modern music was terrible now. And then one night youtube decided to expose me to modern prog for some reason. Last time i checked any prog out it was Rush, King crimson, and tool. Not my style at all.
Plini, David Maxim Micic, Angel Vivaldi, Arch Echo, Chon, the list goes on, its all great, its all beautiful... where the hell have i been. Was like over a couple years all of a sudden modern music cut it's own noose off and called it's own bluff and said just kidding
😉
dudeS maybe?
I can listen and play along this song thousands of times a day, I do not get tired ... also the drums and the Bass are awesome ! This song makes me feel so good !!! Thanks Plini ;-)
Plini never cease to amaze us all!
One of my favorite things about Plini is not the shredies shredies but his articulation, he makes the guitar sound pretty organic and fluid.
