    Impressing library, purchased it yesterday. But what‘s even more impressing is your piano playing, improvising chord progressions and all this. I think you can play almost everything. If only I could play a millionth of it! But now I have to work myself into this library, find where the downloaded sounds are on the harddisk and copy them on another disk as the internal (with the system) gets fuller and fuller.

    As long as it is much more efficient than Kontakt, then it will be a gamechanger. I am so sick of Kontakt hogging resources (I have Komplete Ultimate edition). This musio is definitely a contender for me.

      I have encountered some performance related issues when going over a certain number of voices, but the good thing is that the MUSIO team has been great to work with and has been very responsive to the user feedback. I think that a lot of the initial issues are growing pains in developing a new platform but what I can see so far is that they are willing to get these things ironed out as there is nothing more frustrating than seeing your CPU suddenly start begging for mercy.
      Thanks so much for watching.

      @@PraiseTracks thats good to know. I just had a technical issue with Kontakt that made me fairly cranky. All of my Kontakt libraries (including from other vendors) and all of my native instrument plugins switched to demo mode. The fix was simple but it took 7 days to resolve because 1) they do not create a case when you send email to support at native instruments. 2) they took about 4 days to do a first response after the ticket was created in their outsourced helpdesk website. Then they wasted my time asking for a screenshot of native access that I had already provided at ticket creation. Then eventually they told me to delete the folder where NI tracks licenses and told me to reboot. It sounds like a common issue which should have been resolved in 24 hours. Luckily I'm not a working composer who relies on their software to keep clients happy and meet deadlines. I like that Musio is inexpensive. I have previously been adamant about refusing subscriptions but this experience broke me out of that. I've spent thousands at NI and it I still lost access to my investment for an unacceptable amount of time. Thousands would have got me years of subscription to UVI all access pass or East West Composer Cloud. When you keep updating to the latest version of Komplete Ultimate, it costs way more than an annual subscription to these other platforms which have software that is not as resource heavy. I like Musio's ability to leave everything in the cloud and install instruments that you need on the fly. Better than the download everything to a many-terrabyte drive.

    Aloha Simeon and Thank you for this demo , last weekend Musio had a sale the whole Musio 1 platform perpetually for $199. I was able to buy it , before I used the subscription for $9.99 a month. In my opinion it’s well worth it. As it normally sells for $399 for for Musio 1’s perpetual license. Just wanted to say thank you for all you do demoing and introducing us all to so many amazing software platforms and plugins. Now to get to work creating with this incredible palette of musical colors . Blessings Carl ( Snow Duke ) Ventis

      Yes, that is if your controller supports it and even at that you have so make those assignments in the hardware which while a workaround is not particularly ideal.
      I am sure this functionality is in the pipeline as it would allow you to have sone very creative MUSIO rack presets. Exciting to think of what might be ahead.

    • @PraiseTracks
      @PraiseTracks  4 месяца назад

      Hello Bryan, so glad to see you and know the content has been helpful. Yes, my wife and I love classic movies and the music is timeless and themes have a way of creeping up on me when I least expect it.
      MUSIO would be totally separate from Cinesamples, so unfortunately as with most software instruments, there are no returns and in this case exchanges. There are still some features the Kontakt counterparts have (mic positions, etc.), that are still on their way into MUSIO but your Kontakt libraries should continue to provide you with many more years of use.
      MUSIO, is maturing day by day in its feature set and list of instruments, I can't imagine the work that went into bringing the Cinesamples catalog over to the MUSIO platform.
      Please let me know if you had any further questions. I look forward to seeing you again in comments or on a live stream.

    I love your videos because they are so informative, and additionally, I get to hear your brilliant playing and improvisations! I like what MUSIO can do because it is so versatile and you can grab individual articulations instead of huge libraries that may have articulations I would never use.
    What I am not clear about is where the files go after download. Are they in the cloud and download every time you open your file that calls for them? Or are they stored on your computer and you can get them from your own drives?
    I love the sounds I am hearing!
    I'm a newbie and all this is a hobby for me, so MUSIO may be a bit over the top for my level.
    Sounds so great though!

      MUSIO is a great concept and I look for it to continue to improve.
      When you first set things up you can specify where you want your sounds to be stored. You only have to download instruments one time and they have a home you designate on your system. When you call up a project your sounds will load accordingly.
      I hope that helps. Thanks so much for watching and your kind support. Joyfully yours!

    The comparison with east west is not valid. There the get the full instruments. Musio instruments are sounding significantly different from the full cine samples libraries. I tested with some brass libs I have.

    • @PraiseTracks
      @PraiseTracks  8 месяцев назад +3

      I guess my EW comparison was in the subscription approach, pay monthly for everything, also with Slate and Universal Audio.
      I think EW Opus engine is definitely more mature and MUSIO is still working to get things truly off the ground.
      I would say for MUSIO to be ultimately successful they will have to bring that parity between what users have experienced with the Cinesamples products.
      It would be interesting to know some of the differences between certain Cinesamples titles and their MUSIO counterparts. I know the main one is only having ONE mic perspective. The other would be the actual number of samples used.
      If you are an active subscriber I would definitely use the feedback feature to let them know your thoughts.
      They really have to get the sound right if they are going to be viable in the long term.
      Thanks so much for watching.

    • @PraiseTracks
      @PraiseTracks  8 месяцев назад

      I will give that a try. My concern is that legatos are monophonic most of the time, I would run into issues when playing chords and such but we shall see. Thanks Ronny as always for watching and the kind support.

    Hey Simeon i think im going go for the monthly. Seems like quite a deal for what you get.
    I jave a technical question as im new tk midi.
    If i hook my midi keyboard to my computer to trigger the Musio library, where does the sound come out? I'd like it come back out of the keyboard. Or will it come out of my computer? Do i then have to hook up speakers from my computer? How does that part work?

    • @PraiseTracks
      @PraiseTracks  6 месяцев назад

      To have the best experience I would definitely recommend an external audio interface. Some of them also include MIDI connections as well where you can connect your controller. Most on board audio on your computer motherboards would in my opinion not provide the best response. I have had good results with some of the Focusrite and Arturia miniFUSE 4 interfaces.
      You can plug the output of the audio interface into external speakers (nowadays you can find some very nice powered speakers), or listen through headphones.
      Thanks so much for watching and I wish you the best on this new adventure. Please let me know if you have any questions in the future and I will do my best to help. Joyfully!

    Hi Simeon. I have a question. What speakers do you use for your piano? I bought an iLoud micro but I don't think they are very suitable so I have to change something, I would like to buy it once and for all

    • @PraiseTracks
      @PraiseTracks  8 месяцев назад

      For most of the time I am using the speakers for mixing. I had small Tannoys for the longest time, also a pair of ILoud micros. While working on on my latest project my micros went out and I was having issues trusting my ears with the Tannoys. I was blessed by IK Multimedia with a pair of their iLoud MTM monitors and they have been fantastic. I also ran the mic calibration and I feel I am in a great place as far as recording and mixing.
      So there is an issue with recording speakers and live speakers. Most of the time when I play live it is through a house PA system, but playing live, I want to feel the sound around me. These are just some starting points but I will be on the lookout for more info as ai can find it.
      Thanks so much for watching. Stay Joyful.
