It is especially cool to do slow rolls through the mixed low clouds in FPV! Even if the rolls are not perfectly straight. Like flying in your dreams. I think slow rolls and 4-point rolls are a bit easier in FPV since one can see the horizon clearly all the time. Can do these rolls higher up as well for reduced anxiety and safety from mistakes. Plus the typical FPV instrumentation/HUD especially with the altimeter and heading can help with keeping the rolls straight. It simulates the visual conditions of a real acrobatic pilot while training the muscle memory which can be applied to LOS flying too. I'm constantly practicing these rolls. Reviewing the flight recordings later while in a more relaxed state of mind really helps with training efforts. Especially helpful to take note of all the instrumentation while doing them.
So very true. It’s complete control and when done correctly it’s amazing
Do you do FPV wings\planes at all? It is such a different experience. With your skills, it would make for a cool video!
He has flown my FPV planes and quads. He does well at it.
I'm just started practicing slow rolls. Your videos are helpful 🙂
