The people are so indoctrinated by the government it's hard to tell the 2 apart
To seperate the people from the state you'd need to capture them and slowly give them freedom
probably in captured parts of north korea that doesn't have tons of restrictions on the internet cus no country is gonna wanna take the risk of allowing them into their nation and slowly allow them to either rebuild into a respectable nation or let them rebuild into north korea 2 and suffer the consequences of their actions
Either way it'll be a choice the civilians were free to make

I'm a korean american and I love all your videos. Ive watched so many and as a military enthusiast it really makes me happy to see all these videos of N.Korean military personnel doing food and of them watching American Firepower. HOWEVER, you really really need someone to properly relay the information correctly WITH the correct subtitles. There are many english/korean bilinguals around the world and definitely in S.Korea but it seems you guys are just typing korean text into google translate and just copy and pasting whatever it spits out. On top of that, the information about the weapons systems shown in "real videos" are not being properly articulated and its giving the interviewees misinformation and its also annoying the audience.
You have a great channel and this channel can grow even larger but these are little things that need to change if you want the channel to grow larger. People wont continue to watch if the subtitles are so incorrect and theres so much misinformation in it as well.

If she had given the numbers on the thing and described what it does, it would have been more horrifying. Also, some of those shots are just anti-missile chafe. The tactical pattern the US has used in most places in recent years: 1. take out air defense and radar with stealthy bombers and tomahawks flying 15 ft. above the treeline. 2. a few days later, send in limited troops to educate locals for the resistance and bomb the hell out of military installations. 3. Send in A-10's and AC-130's to support the local resistance, bomb as needed.

This comment should be pinned to the top of this video.
There aren't any missiles (rocket powered, in the sense of militaristic applications), and the lack of description for the weapons on this platform are probably non-existent regarding his questions. If they did describe it to him, it's most likely ill explained or even just flat out false.
That aircraft is a flying apocalypse for anything on the ground, and there simply isn't much anything on the ground can do about it. The fact that he doesn't understand or know those are flares or anti-missile chafe is interesting. Either NK just doesn't train their air force well (was he an actual pilot or administrative some other officer), or their equipment is just so obsolete that they don't properly equip their aircraft. It's probably both, but I think you're doing a disservice to your channel and your interviewees by not properly informing them of the content you're showing them to offer commentary. If you want to demoralize a ground force then the AC130 and the A-10 are two very good ways of doing that, and it seems like a lot of that was missed in this video.

At 6:58, those are not guided missiles, they are flares used to help the plane avoid guided (heat seeking in this case) missiles. A heat seeking missile follows a heat source, usually the engine exhaust, which is the hottest part of the plane. If a heat seeker is chasing you and you shoot a bunch of flares, it confuses the missile, which now sees dozens of heat sources instead of just your plane. The missile will likely chase one of the flares instead of chasing you.

In a conflict with North Korea, these would be deployed once the North Korean airforce is neutralized, giving it them a monopoly on the airspace to clean up armored forces (these can chew through any tank formation North Korea could hope to deploy at virtually no risk to itself).

As a former weapons specialist in the USAF, this guy would stain his long johns if he knew what today's USAF could rain down upon North Korea if he need ever came around. I served in the Air Force from '68 to '72, including a voluntary tour in Vietnam in '69-70, and even what we had then would have given them pretty much all they could stand and then some. And, that was a drop in a bucket to what is flying in today's Air Force. Keep'em Flying, Guys!!!

You mistake flares for missiles. They are to distract heat seeking missiles from the plane engines.

This is kind of sad. He’s just now seeing what his countrymen are up against in terms of war. You can kind of seen the fear and sadness in his face from it. I really wish N.K. Can find a way to calling an end to the war and bring peace already.

That yellow framework attached to the howitzer is to protect the crew members from the recoil. It prevents anyone from being close enough to the breech to be hit by it when it recoils.

The AC-130 is designed to support infantry or special forces in battle on the ground. It can loiter in circles and send very accurate fire against enemies while in radio contact with troops on the ground.

Actually it’s old technology.. from the 70’s... maybe late 60’s Vietnam era “spooky “ gunships ...these are the new AC 130 “specters “... has advanced thermal sights ....many variations in cannons from 25mm to 40 mm... multi bbl ... the 105 cannon is the main gun in these gunships... there is no air to ground missiles....

I was raised under the threat of North Korean artillery, the largest array of heavy artillery the world had ever seen along a border. Do not think, not even for one moment, that the North Koreans cannot inflict damage to the South, or US forces stationed there. We took it very seriously then, perhaps more so now. Sure, their capabilities are low in tech, but one cannot disregard the sheer destructive force they have on their side of the DMZ.

The air dominance of the United States is rather intimidating. My understanding is that the AC-130 gunship is one of the scariest things you can hear coming in a conflict. There’s much more high tech than that plane, but it is like a flying tank.
