Gfriend's disbandment was so sudden and unexpected. No one had any idea that this bop would be their last comeback
Disband an established, talented group so they could pour money into setting up a new one. What a waste.
This one was their last one? I got confused then... I thought their last video had them turn out to be Aliens, so they flew away on a space ship... Ah, well, been a while since I went through their discography... :)

In case you are still wondering, "Mago" is a term for a goddess in Korean legend responsible for the creation of the world.
I think it's more like "Magu" really. Gfriend had a habit of using spanish at times, and Mago means wizard or magician in spanish, so considering the lyrics of the song I think that is the main meaning, not the god.

You really cannot get any more Disco than this in K-Pop. Even the song named 'Disco' by JYP himself plus Sunmi is not more Disco than this one. I think the group did GREAT here!
I am still very sad about their disbandment, they deserved MUCH better treatment! It was just as sad as CLC getting disbanded from out-of-nowhere.

Congratulations on winning the draw. You have great taste and Buddies across the world will thank you for promoting GFriend to new audiences. So many great songs they made but known by so few people globally. In the UK 🇬🇧 they never got much appreciation for their talent and are virtually unheard of despite being the 3rd most successful girl group of all time in Korea with 71 music show wins. So thank you 🙏.
Mago is a wizard in spanish, Gfriend sometimes used spanish words like in Me Gustas Tu. It might also have the double meaning of referring to a korean god, but that is mostly just tied to some conspiracy theories regarding the belief that Hybe has a cult, it's pretty unserious from what I've seen, people just say it about groups they don't like. For example the same people think that Illits dance choreography is actually the cults strentching exercises... But anyway, theres nothing that actually suggests that they're singing about that god, they're not even pronouncing it right if thats the case. They're singing about a Mago who can judge them and dance for them in a song about them being witches, so I think it's safe to say that the Mago this is about is a wizard, a magician, a hypothetical Harry Potter Dumbledore Snape, not a shaman goddess called Magu.

You guys need to check out VIVIZ after gfriend. Basically after disbandment, 3 of the members ( Sinb, Eunha, and umji) came together to form a group and started releasing ever since. They give me so much nostalgia
