took it apart completely, cleaned, new cylinder, new casters, painted the base, new mesh seat, and new cylinder cable lifter part (old one had split and wasn't working) All in I spent about $300. Now fully working!

I'm not surprised you can't find trusted reviews online, as Secretlab love to sponsor channels to say only nice things about their overrated products. If you don't believe me, feel free to check out the Vertegear Triigger 350, it's literally the exact same design. I'm sure there are similar chairs sold by other brands, but I don't remember all of them. If you've got the budget, have a look at Steelcase, Haworth and Herman Miller chairs.

Far from it, the Aeron was the most modern looking chair when it first came out in 1994 and it still is. The same goes for other chairs that Herman Miller make, such as the Embody, Sayl and Mirra 2. Comfort is a very subjective topic altogether, it entirely depends on the individual and can only be put to the test from sitting on the chair, as opposed to judging it based on looks alone.
