Phat beet is terrible in its own world, tho. Not getting stunned is nice, but not that usefull since it has close range in a world where 70% of zombies one shots your frontline or kicks it back.
Player's House: Sunflower/Potato Mine - Ranking sun producers is weird, cause they're almost required but that doesnt really make them overpowered. In terms of actually doing something to the zombies its far and away potato mine. Wallnut isnt really useful, peashooter and cabbage pult are mid damage options that just get outclassed by things like bloomerang, repeater, and snapdragon. Ancient Egypt: Repeater - I feel like bonk's dps isnt too good to make it better than repeater. Just a solid damage option all around for quite a while. Iceberg can be nice for the early game but later on in levels the lack of aoe kinda sucks. Iceberg does have a good plantfood however. Pirate Seas: Cherry Bomb - While it's outclassed by primal potato, this plant is still S tier and the best of pirate seas. Snapdragon is nice dps, spring bean is very niche, being able to insta-kill anything in pirate seas, while being useless everywhere else. Wild West: Winter Melon - Most of these are basically undisputed truths, of course everyone knows the power of winter melon. Frostbite Caves: Chard Guard (maybe stunion or rotobaga) - Chard is a very good staller, but there's also stunion and rotobaga which make this kinda hard to rank. Stunion is great aoe staller, and rotobaga is extremely helpful in Big Wave Beach due to not needing lily pads, being cheap, and having nice dps. I think chard guard is the best though. Lost City: Stallia - Stallia is great to slow down hordes, as well as being the final nail in the coffin for iceberg lettuce. Stallia does have a weak plantfood but tbh you never use stallia for its plant food as a 3x3 radius is big enough anyways. It's just a nice addition to any loadout with no real downsides other than using a seed slot. Far Future: Magnifying Grass - Surprised to see how many people ranked laser bean and infinut above this. While they're decently good, they are nowhere near the levels of magni. When you can get a huge amount of sun in this game, 50 sun turning into 550 damage means you can just start a sun empire and win. This plant is busted. Laser is admittedly pretty good but seeing infinut is weird to me. When using magnifying grass, banana launcher, or tangle kelp, you can just snipe the fishermen zombies. (yes i know blover can instakill anything with chard guard or reinforce-mint but i dont like acknowledging it's existence) Dark Ages: Sun Shroom - for just 25 sun, you get a sun producer that can produce 75 sun. The best efficiency, at least in the basegame. Problem is you need it to grow, so you wanna be more careful with your sun shrooms. On paper they should be better than primal sunflower but in practice i think primal sunflower is better. But even with primal sunflower you can still run sun shroom as a secondary producer, like in a magni strat for example. Puff shroom is free but even then i dont like it. They just dont do damage for a conehead or above and when i use them its a niche purpose. Magni does 550 damage at level 1 but coneheads have 560 health, so i just place a puff shroom to do the last shot. Literally only thing i use puff for. Neon Mixtape Tour: Thyme warp (maybe celery stalker) - Thyme warp is really good. Sure the 90 second recharge means you can use it once, but its an amazing get out of jail free card that i always bring for hard levels. Gives you a lot of 'thyme' to think and build up more defenses. It also clumps zombies up for explosive instas, meaning it synergizes with the most busted plant type in the game. Honorable mention to celery stalker, the best early game imo. Puffshroom might be free but celery for 50 sun will stay there for a lot longer, can solo coneheads, and scales nice in the mid-late game for chipping down high health enemies. Jurassic Marsh: Primal Potato Mine - If you can just wait 5 seconds, you can get a 50 sun faster recharging cherry bomb with a plant food that spawns more cherry bombs. What's not to like about primal potato? All of the primal plants are good however none match primal mine. Primal sunflower is the best adventure sun producer for me and a lot of others. Primal wallnut is the best wall in my opinion due to the fast recharge and garg resistance. Primal peashooter is great support with knockback and stuns. Big Wave Beach: Banana Launcher - Easily banana launcher. Hell i even think its better than the all powerful magnifying grass because of one key difference: splash damage. 1200 damage with a splash radius is diabolical, also since you hit anywhere on the screen you can kill threats like wizard, octo, fisherman, and more. I dont really like bowling bulb, guacodile is pretty good, just not as good as banana. Modern Day: Dusk Lobber - Tbh i dont use shadow plants much but i guess dusk lobber (assuming its in its powered state). I think this plant is a little overrated due to recharge issues, and also the price benefits dont really matter when you're gonna have a lot of sun anyways. (most of the time when i do dusk strats i have like 1000-2000 sun left) but i mean the other choices dont have much going for them. Shadow shroom has a good plant food i guess but there's also primal mine plant food which can basically also screenwipe. you probably didnt read allat
I completely agree with this list aside from frostbite caves. In my personal experience, I would usually just use wall plants instead of chard guard and would swap out his position for Rotobaga for the reason that when it's spammed, it's very effective. Rotobaga was one of the reasons I was able to complete half of big wave beach without needing a lily pad due to it's floating on water trait. So yeah Rotobaga when spammed is op.
The red sting is cool because if you plant it in the right side it becomes defensive and you can combine the defense and the ofense with only one plant.
yk the one from ancient city not only is good for attack but if placed in front works as a wallnut (and yes it has lots of hp if in front) and in the middle works like a combo between wallnut and peashooter? that def. makes him th best protective/attack plant
Spikeweed is decent for 'dont let the zombies trample the flowers'. This is cuz, if you plant spikeweed on the flowers, the zombies will walk over the spikeweed instead of the flowers. So your welcome, you can now beat modern day - day 30 easily! (Not saying spikeweed is the best pirate seas plant, just a little fun fact)
2:15 u can also put two rows of bonk choy so if the zombie get too close the second bonk choy will attack, which pretty much double the dps Edit:these can kill zombies so fast that sometimes u dont even need a wall nut, even the torch zombie this dude kill, just watch out for bucket heads
This is a pretty good list! Personally the one I disagree most with is Red Stinger since its slower rate of fire means that Repeater is still comparable in terms of damage.

I think that sunflower isn’t that good. Double sunflower, primal sunflower, and sun shroom are all better. Potato mine is great because it’s super good for killing the first zombie in a level to give you more time to plant sun producers. It’s also handy being so cheap if you’re in a pinch. I know it’s outclassed by primal potato mine, but it’s cheaper and you don’t get primal potato mine for a long time which makes it useful for a while.
I beg to differ. to me sunflower is just amazing twin sunflower produces twice as much as sun, yes, but costs 125 sun and takes so long to recharge, so for me it's really not worth it sun shroom takes so long to grow to its full size primal sunflower undoubtedly the best though

Your opinion is invalid. Cherry bomb is still broken despite being outclassed. Most far future plants are great except maybe em peach. Bowling bulb and guacodile aren't that good. Thyme warp is also pretty good except having a slow recharge and heals zombies, but that isn't much of an issue.
Can we agree that grimrose is good, because if you are a unskilled player, you get 1 or 3 (with shadow boost) chances to pull zombies ike, Octo Zombie that is hard to deal with dead 😵 in a flash
red stinger can be versatile too because if you put it in the right side of the lawn(i think) it will become a defense plant and if its in the middle it will become semi-attacker and defensive plant❤❤

Far future: Blover Im surprise Far Future's best plant isnt Blover it singlehandingly counter a bunch of zombie like the swashbuckler, Seagull, imp canon, Pirate Seas and Far Future' surprise attack, zombie-pushing like raptor, break-dancer, Z-corp and that is without the plant it could combo with like Chard guard, primal peashooter, reinforce mint, lv5+ Stallia Blover is probably the most banned plant in Arena excluding Thyme Warp 5. Dark Age: Sun Shroom 25 sun for a shroom that give 75 sun each time, just wait for itn, and not to mention they change to 2nd stage that gives 50 sun very fast; also, probably best sun producer in boostama or when pair with enlightment mint 6. Big Wave Beach: Bowling Bulb at low level, this is not the case, however, after reaching the level where it recharge blue or yellow first, this plant is a menace also, I dont like manual plant 7. Frostbite Cave: Chard guard, no question asked for 75, knock back zombie and being a wall after losing all leaf also, aloe + chard guard = infinite knock back 8. Lost City: Stallia technically 2 attacking plant is just slighly better, while this free-cost flower offer pretty much early and late game 9. Jurassic Marsh: Primal Potato Mine high dmg, extremely short arming time, and the aoe is big (it is bigger with lv up) 10: Modenr Day: Dusk Lobber probably 1 of the best aoe plants, escpecially if pair with cheap cost and mult,ti lane cover

But you can have a lot of them very quickly. And with its range its really good. Frostbite Caves: Rotobaga All plants are meh. Rotobaga is the best if the bunch. Yes pepper pult is good. But IT HAS A SLOW RECHARGE. Lost City: Red Stinger A 150 Sun repeater, but you cant use torchwood so ok. Far Future: Infi-Nut THIS HELPED SO MUCH IN BIG WAVE BEACH I LOVE THIS PLANT SO MUCH Dark Ages: Sun Shroom All Plants are also meh. But sunshroom is a good sun producer Neon Mixtape Tour: Thyme Warp It can send zombies back to the start. No questions Asked. Jurrasic Marsh: Primal Peashooter This is so good combined with Torchwood. Also has knockback and stun. Big Wave Beach: Banana Launcher You have the sun. And its the ONLY good plant here so yeah. Modern Day: Shadow Shroom It is like potato mine. Put when powered up by moon flower. Any zombie touching him gets poisoned. And his plant food is good. Honorable Mention: Torchwood Its a great plant. And you can get it for free after 7 days. Repeater and Primal Pea Would be nothing without this plant. If you read the whole thing. Far future is blover in my opinion.blover paired with reinforcemint is basically a cheap doomshroom that one shots every single zombie on screen.also blover works with chard guard. Trust me I have once used this combo in arena and once got 15million points.somehow
Mine: Tutorial: Wall nut Wallnut is a solid plant, its biggest contender is infi-nut and chard guard which still falls on price and health, as much as both plants being better than wallnut, it doesn't mean wall nut has the edge of simplicity as a wall. Potato mine can also be the best, but is contesting with chili bean, puff shroom, and best of all primal potato, which has all advantage over potato mine excluding the price. Ancient Egypt: Bloomerang The thing with bloomerang is how versatile it is as a piercing shooter, in nearly every world Bloomerang has a zombie it can work well against, bonk choy on the other is restricted to close range and with no pierce. Pirate seas: cherry bomb Theres really not much to say other than honourable mention to coconut cannon and the two weeds. Wild west: Winter melon Lightning reed is pretty faulty, winter melon is high quality if you can afford the price. Far future: Infi-nut Tile turnip is my 2nd best, however tile turnip impractical in casual worlds and mostly shine in other modes. Dark ages: Puff-shroom Puff shroom is all ups and no downs, although sun-shroom is better in other modes, it is also contesting with other sun producers. Big Wave Beach: Banana launcher/bowling bulb Banana in worlds and bowling bulb in other modes. Frostbite Caves: Chard guard Absolute utility with chard guard. Rotobaga's range weakness limits its potential by a lot. Lost city: Stallia Like puff shroom, all ups abd no downs, other if you sre using other type of slowers ofcourse Neon Mixtape Tour: Celery stalker Thyme warp is nerfed so hard now that its available in all worlds, plus thyme warp is so unique at what it does that it doesn't appeal in casual play, celery stalker is good all around other other than being overwhelmed. Jurrasic marsh: Primal Potato mine Primal potato mine is so big deal its almost impractical to bring in casual play, thats why it would appear that primal sun or nut is better even though they are very good as well. Modern day: Moonflower I mean, its arguably the best one since she can work by hereself, although dusk lobber takes the spot if paired with a shadow booster, but thats two plants.

I think the best plant in frostbite caves is chard guard, cuz it litterally saved me in frostbite caves level 16 one of the HARDEST LEVELS IN FORSTBITE CAVES
Lightning reed is my favorite plant cause when I use the lighting reed in dark ages with a jester zombie it can kill multiple zombies and if I have max power with lightning reed it will kill all zombies
Also rotobaga is my other favorite plant cause it can kill a squid for like 5 seconds in big wave beach it can also float on the water without planting a lily pad

Player's House: Sunflower/Potato Mine
- Ranking sun producers is weird, cause they're almost required but that doesnt really make them overpowered. In terms of actually doing something to the zombies its far and away potato mine. Wallnut isnt really useful, peashooter and cabbage pult are mid damage options that just get outclassed by things like bloomerang, repeater, and snapdragon.
Ancient Egypt: Repeater
- I feel like bonk's dps isnt too good to make it better than repeater. Just a solid damage option all around for quite a while. Iceberg can be nice for the early game but later on in levels the lack of aoe kinda sucks. Iceberg does have a good plantfood however.
Pirate Seas: Cherry Bomb
- While it's outclassed by primal potato, this plant is still S tier and the best of pirate seas. Snapdragon is nice dps, spring bean is very niche, being able to insta-kill anything in pirate seas, while being useless everywhere else.
Wild West: Winter Melon
- Most of these are basically undisputed truths, of course everyone knows the power of winter melon.
Frostbite Caves: Chard Guard (maybe stunion or rotobaga)
- Chard is a very good staller, but there's also stunion and rotobaga which make this kinda hard to rank. Stunion is great aoe staller, and rotobaga is extremely helpful in Big Wave Beach due to not needing lily pads, being cheap, and having nice dps. I think chard guard is the best though.
Lost City: Stallia
- Stallia is great to slow down hordes, as well as being the final nail in the coffin for iceberg lettuce. Stallia does have a weak plantfood but tbh you never use stallia for its plant food as a 3x3 radius is big enough anyways. It's just a nice addition to any loadout with no real downsides other than using a seed slot.
Far Future: Magnifying Grass
- Surprised to see how many people ranked laser bean and infinut above this. While they're decently good, they are nowhere near the levels of magni. When you can get a huge amount of sun in this game, 50 sun turning into 550 damage means you can just start a sun empire and win. This plant is busted. Laser is admittedly pretty good but seeing infinut is weird to me. When using magnifying grass, banana launcher, or tangle kelp, you can just snipe the fishermen zombies. (yes i know blover can instakill anything with chard guard or reinforce-mint but i dont like acknowledging it's existence)
Dark Ages: Sun Shroom
- for just 25 sun, you get a sun producer that can produce 75 sun. The best efficiency, at least in the basegame. Problem is you need it to grow, so you wanna be more careful with your sun shrooms. On paper they should be better than primal sunflower but in practice i think primal sunflower is better. But even with primal sunflower you can still run sun shroom as a secondary producer, like in a magni strat for example. Puff shroom is free but even then i dont like it. They just dont do damage for a conehead or above and when i use them its a niche purpose. Magni does 550 damage at level 1 but coneheads have 560 health, so i just place a puff shroom to do the last shot. Literally only thing i use puff for.
Neon Mixtape Tour: Thyme warp (maybe celery stalker)
- Thyme warp is really good. Sure the 90 second recharge means you can use it once, but its an amazing get out of jail free card that i always bring for hard levels. Gives you a lot of 'thyme' to think and build up more defenses. It also clumps zombies up for explosive instas, meaning it synergizes with the most busted plant type in the game. Honorable mention to celery stalker, the best early game imo. Puffshroom might be free but celery for 50 sun will stay there for a lot longer, can solo coneheads, and scales nice in the mid-late game for chipping down high health enemies.
Jurassic Marsh: Primal Potato Mine
- If you can just wait 5 seconds, you can get a 50 sun faster recharging cherry bomb with a plant food that spawns more cherry bombs. What's not to like about primal potato? All of the primal plants are good however none match primal mine. Primal sunflower is the best adventure sun producer for me and a lot of others. Primal wallnut is the best wall in my opinion due to the fast recharge and garg resistance. Primal peashooter is great support with knockback and stuns.
Big Wave Beach: Banana Launcher
- Easily banana launcher. Hell i even think its better than the all powerful magnifying grass because of one key difference: splash damage. 1200 damage with a splash radius is diabolical, also since you hit anywhere on the screen you can kill threats like wizard, octo, fisherman, and more. I dont really like bowling bulb, guacodile is pretty good, just not as good as banana.
Modern Day: Dusk Lobber
- Tbh i dont use shadow plants much but i guess dusk lobber (assuming its in its powered state). I think this plant is a little overrated due to recharge issues, and also the price benefits dont really matter when you're gonna have a lot of sun anyways. (most of the time when i do dusk strats i have like 1000-2000 sun left) but i mean the other choices dont have much going for them. Shadow shroom has a good plant food i guess but there's also primal mine plant food which can basically also screenwipe.

I completely agree with this list aside from frostbite caves. In my personal experience, I would usually just use wall plants instead of chard guard and would swap out his position for Rotobaga for the reason that when it's spammed, it's very effective. Rotobaga was one of the reasons I was able to complete half of big wave beach without needing a lily pad due to it's floating on water trait. So yeah Rotobaga when spammed is op.
That is fair, the damage roto can do for the cost is crazy.

I think that sunflower isn’t that good. Double sunflower, primal sunflower, and sun shroom are all better. Potato mine is great because it’s super good for killing the first zombie in a level to give you more time to plant sun producers. It’s also handy being so cheap if you’re in a pinch. I know it’s outclassed by primal potato mine, but it’s cheaper and you don’t get primal potato mine for a long time which makes it useful for a while.

twin sunflower produces twice as much as sun, yes, but costs 125 sun and takes so long to recharge, so for me it's really not worth it

25 sun for a shroom that give 75 sun each time, just wait for itn, and not to mention they change to 2nd stage that gives 50 sun very fast; also, probably best sun producer in boostama or when pair with enlightment mint

at low level, this is not the case, however, after reaching the level where it recharge blue or yellow first, this plant is a menace

Wallnut is a solid plant, its biggest contender is infi-nut and chard guard which still falls on price and health, as much as both plants being better than wallnut, it doesn't mean wall nut has the edge of simplicity as a wall. Potato mine can also be the best, but is contesting with chili bean, puff shroom, and best of all primal potato, which has all advantage over potato mine excluding the price.
Ancient Egypt: Bloomerang
The thing with bloomerang is how versatile it is as a piercing shooter, in nearly every world Bloomerang has a zombie it can work well against, bonk choy on the other is restricted to close range and with no pierce.
Pirate seas: cherry bomb
Theres really not much to say other than honourable mention to coconut cannon and the two weeds.
Wild west: Winter melon
Lightning reed is pretty faulty, winter melon is high quality if you can afford the price.
Far future: Infi-nut
Tile turnip is my 2nd best, however tile turnip impractical in casual worlds and mostly shine in other modes.
Dark ages: Puff-shroom
Puff shroom is all ups and no downs, although sun-shroom is better in other modes, it is also contesting with other sun producers.
Big Wave Beach: Banana launcher/bowling bulb
Banana in worlds and bowling bulb in other modes.
Frostbite Caves: Chard guard
Absolute utility with chard guard. Rotobaga's range weakness limits its potential by a lot.

Primal potato mine is so big deal its almost impractical to bring in casual play, thats why it would appear that primal sun or nut is better even though they are very good as well.

My opinion (also if there's sun producer is best in his world i will make version with sun producer and without)
Tutorial: sunflower:good sun producer but powercreeps by better sun producers
Without sunflower:potato mine:great early game for beginners but also power creeps
Ancient Egypt:bonk Jesus:fast firerate with decent damage and great plant food and with dealing with graves also bonk Jesus and Johnny is very good combo
Pirate seas: cherry bomb: big radius 3×3 area with massive damage cherry bomb is helpful in adventure arena and penny pursuit and everywhere if you have plant food you can recharge cherry bomb and kill even garg
Wild west: winter melon:great splash good splash damage great damage with chill effect also with 50 sun meta he not that hard to place
Frostbite caves:chard guard:great knock back plant what can knock back every type of zombie also great against weasel and for cheap price and fast recharge and busted with blover
Lost city:red stinger: basically a better repeater with cheap cost fast recharge and good damage with very strong leveling on lvl 2 one stinger have 40 damage red stinger fires two of them so he deals 80 damage that sooooo god just a more cheaper melon pult but without splash and with faster attack speed
Far future: magnifying grass: insane dps for 50 sun that's op considering how easy sun collecting in pvz2 with alot of sun magnifying grass can take even garg
Dark ages:sun shroom one of most best sun producers with good plant food and good combo with enlighten mint also boosted sun shroom is 25 sun primal sunflower
Without sun shroom:fume shroom: this guy is underrated good damage good piercing with great plant food what knocks back zombies and dealing very high damage and cheap cost the only downside of fume shroom is small radius
Neon mixtape tour:thyme warp: year ago he got buffed and he was become better and them they buffed him again now he don't regenerates health of zombies okay he sends zombies back that's good he also have very good combos with instans like grape shoot jerry bomb and puff ball great
Jurassic marsh: primal potato mine:a 50 sun cherry bomb with fast arming time and faster recharge it great and very helpful also his plant food is good because of splash and he have great combos
Big wave beach: banananananananananananananana launcher:not bad splash with big damage he have big sun cost but we all know what in pvz2 there's 50 sun meta and if you get couple of banana launchers he will take even a garg 10 banananananananananananananana/10
Modern day: moonflower:one of best sun producers went from 25 sun to 100 she also powers shadow plants makes him way better especially with dusk lobber or shadow peashooter
Without moonflower:dusk lobber great splash with good damage with cheap cost and fast recharge he good even without moonflower being cheaper melon pult.

I think the best plant in frostbite caves is chard guard, cuz it litterally saved me in frostbite caves level 16 one of the HARDEST LEVELS IN FORSTBITE CAVES

Lightning reed is my favorite plant cause when I use the lighting reed in dark ages with a jester zombie it can kill multiple zombies and if I have max power with lightning reed it will kill all zombies
Also rotobaga is my other favorite plant cause it can kill a squid for like 5 seconds in big wave beach it can also float on the water without planting a lily pad
