Now that's a Torch !!!!!! God Bless you Charles. I have watched your videos for sometime. My job for the last 9 years is critical in breaking darkness. You have kept me entertained and unformed on the tools needed. You have a Gift from God and I sincerely believe you're number one in that. I am praying also for your healing brother.
I opened the box and followed along, and you made it easier than trying to read the directions. So I bought another one using your discount code for a Christmas present. *Note that there was no protection piece to remove. I had to carefully use a bench vise to unscrew it the first time it was tight.
A really nice long-awaited review - thank you! What I cannot understand is why companies did not apply a more advanced solution to the heatproblem (like in this light and the MS18 versions) a long time ago. I for one would also love to see a fluid-based cooling solution! I hope more companies follow with similiar designs in the near future! Best wishes to you and your family.
My ms08 will turn on with only one battery, pretty cool in case of an emergency you can just use one, I don’t know how long it will last but I’m very happy with it.
Hi Charles. Just watched your very informative video and loved it! I like how you take the time to go through all the features of the lights and then demonstrate all the different outputs and modes. I've never seen a flashlight quite like this with an entire "shell" devoted to just cooling. And right when I was thinking in the video "what is the shell made of?" you said ABS. I call it "LEGO" plastic although it's real name is Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene but it is very tough stuff. I recently purchased a Fenix LR80R and I think it's awesome at 18000 Lumens however this flashlight at 34000 must be incredible. I see one in my near future. Thanks much for excellent video!
So sorry to hear of your loss and thanks for putting out your review. The review on 1Lumen didn’t get anyway near the stated output or runtime @10k lumens. How did your unit compare and do you think the X50 performs better?
Awesome innovation with the exo-suit heat shield. Same size as the R60C, although less max candela, at 136,000cd vs 269,620cd. I wonder if they'll have a retro-fit exo-suit for all the lights that have that shape. Would be cool. Love this, and would like to see a side by side comparison of the two.
No. You will have to turn it on if using it on the higher levels. The light will cycle down due to heat though after some time on the higher levels. Thanks for watching!
Hey man Nice video. I have some tactical lights like the nitecore p23i but i really want a bigger one. What would u recommend, i did look on the fenix lr35r and now this one. U have other suggestions and wich one would you choose. Thx
Wow Charles, that's amazing! What a beast of a light. Thank you so much for bringing this video to us. Always enjoy them! Also, my condolences on your losses. I have been through that myself and I know how badly it hurts. You are a gentleman sir and I appreciate the hard work that you're doing to bring these videos to us.
LIKED! Very nice and useful video. Do you think this flashlight would be able to temporarily blind someone who is trying to break in to your house (or steal your car), or would you be better off with a more focused/directed beam such as a thrower or something with an adjustable focus?
Nice review. As usual. I not quite sure, did you already test the Acebeam x50 with 40K lumens ? Would be interesting to know how if this brand new MS08 is a better buy. than the Acebeam.
Good review. Just a quick question did the plastic cover with the fans fit tight or did it have a little play. I received mine today and it does not fit snug.
I love the design, i always wondered if they made carrying cases, or rubber covers to help with heat, not just for imalent but other brands like sofirn, i think im going to get the sofirn sp36 blf, its the only price im comfortable with, and i want a really good bright flashlight, my only bright flash light is a die hard 2400 lumen, but i think it outputs 1500, and runs on 9 AA BATTERIES. I have rechargeable ones, but still is very annoying to charge them.
What good does it do if the fans are cooling from the outside in and not extracting any heat, the ms 18 draws cool air in and expells the hot air... I'm not sure how effective this will be, it's marketed as the coolest light but only because it has an outside cover that prevents your hands from burning
You can long as they are button top cells but they need to be long cells for example protected cells like the one that are included. Thanks for watching!
Do you prefer this or the R60C? I see this is more of a flood light. I ordered the R60C, think it has the perfect beam pattern with flood and and spot.
@@CharlesBridgTec hello Charles Now i have my imalent MS08 and yes IT is ok even if the lamp is quite heavy but the beam Power is impressivly good The removeable heat sink is very helpfull I have been collecting lamps for a short time and only Those that i like very much I Do Not use ghem often

Great newest flashlight video, mr Charles, Compared to the imalent dx80, which one is better?

Mine is snig. You will need to hand tighten screw a bit more or use extra screw provided. Thanks for watching!
@@CharlesBridgTec The screw fits snug but the fan cover has slight movement and it should not.
Correct so try unscrewing it and make sure hole is lined up then screw it snug.

Would you recommend this for self defence? i get bitten by dogs regularly when out at night
I am not sure about self defense but you would see them way before they got to you to change course. Thanks for watching!
Yeah i mean like turn on the strobe light in front of their face to blind them temporarily so i can escape @@CharlesBridgTec
That just might work.
What if you turn turbo mode on and leave it on, how long can it hold up
A little over a minute if I remember correctly as it will cycle down slowly. Thanks for watching!

See the difference yes. Thanks for watching!
@@CharlesBridgTec thanks for the video, can't make up my mind between this one and the 20k the 20k advertises a longer beam distance
is the fan shield also IPX-8 waterproof?
I believe so. Thanks for watching!

No. Thanks for watching!
Too bad there's no lanyard to not to drop it? Waterproof is what I need for night spearfishing.

In performance yes. Thanks for watching!
