I was beyond happy that restrictions for Abusers to have guns held. We cannot rely on historic legislation to make decisions about safety today, because as Michael said, women were property, with no rights. Men were able to get their wives committed to asylums when they stood up to them, or when they couldn’t have children. It’s just a horrifying history that many know nothing about, but by principle, they somehow believe that this just disappeared when women got the right to vote. The work is never done.
