Just got home to New Mexico from SW Colorado. Wife and I drove up to Alamosa, then over Medano Pass, then up and over Hayden Pass, then across and up and over Marshall Pass. Then drove over to Gunnison and ran a couple trails by Crested Butte - and found a flipped Jeep on the Reno Divide/Italian Creek trail. Fortunately, nobody was in it. It looked like it had been a couple days. Then went down and did Ophir Pass and then played tourists in Ouray and Ridgeway.

All you guys waiting for it to be released...go support them on Patreon! You get early watching--great video! Can't wait to see the rest of the journey! Makes me really wish I lived more out West
In our household your channel is affectionately called "The Adventures of Caroline and Her Sidekicks Sarah and Old What's His Name" (yes Kevin, we know). I was describing the new series to the girls and the most serious question asked, indeed the only question asked was ’Who does Caroline ride with?" And then there was this surprising comment " See, I told you Kevin knew how to drive!" You guys are great. Thanks
Not far from there we buried my parents ashes in Cochiti Canyon... was where they honeymooned and where as family we had first camping adventures in a 55 Pontiac 2 door wagon.
Loving the dual rig fast moving setup you guys are using. I recently took my 10 year old daughter for her first “bring a friend” camping trip this weekend to Steamboat Springs, it was a game changer! Good series guys.
I know it’s late but just settled down in ruidoso as my new base operations for future overlanding. I’ve been exploring the area for 20 years and learn more from your videos in a few minutes. Btw as seen in last season cafe bustelo is the go to coffee for those who like espresso but also standard drip but don’t want two different types of coffee. Keep on keeping on family, hope to run into you guys one day. Until then I keep learning from you! 😊
that road in the Capitains is a rough, long in and out road, but the views are awesome.. the one spot at the end at 10,000 feet, the view is breathtaking.
Missed a few episodes but looking forward to more. Your family stuff is neat. We took our grandsons to Colorado when they were young and they still talk about it today. Nowadays we camp with their kids.
Awesome to have you guys back exploring, bet you guys are missing each other while driving! I couldn't imagine having my wife not by my side, although having two rigs is awesome!! You guys are an inspiration to so many, thankyou for doing what you do! 🤙🤙✌✌
So great! I (wife) have been without a vehicle for over a year. We keep debating on getting a passenger car or off-road vehicle so we can go together. We try to go once a month. Thanks for sealing the deal! (he was leaning more toward passenger car)
It's about time you came to the Jemez area. I love it up there so fresh and beautiful. There are tons of trails to explore, I'm looking forward to finding out where you guys go. From Jemez, Los Alamos, Santa Fe, Pecos, and all the way to Las Vegas NM is soo green and amazing. Even Taos, Angel Fire, Red River. Keep on exploring my backyard, I love it!
So glad you guys are on the roads again. My that little girl of yours is far from little, she is going to break some hearts. She is a smart one too. Hahahahaha Take care guys and safe travels. Cheers!!!
Looking forward to more episodes! Ive always wanted a 200 series land cruiser but the more I see your wifes GX I may want that instead, smaller and more nimble.
Love all the camera angels. Also, appreciate all your product reviews. In fact, I just got TWO snomasters coming! excited to see how these compare to my existing fridges. Questions (apologies if you have other posts on these topics): 1) Do you have long range gas tanks? IF so, what capacity. 2) RTT - what weight is the system and what racks are you using? 3) Camera - do you have a drone, if so what brand do you use or recommend?
I'd sure like to see a MAP or track of these routes with camp locations so that WE can hopefully follow-up one day and see some of the same views - thanks for sharing.
Hello I really enjoy your videos. I noticed while you were sitting in the Toyota with your daughter. What is the storage bag/wrap on the driver's sunvisor?
HIGH TEST OR REGULAR ! BREATHTAKING VIEWS SCENERY COLORS BEAUTY & VIDEO ! HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT TRIP ! BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU ALL ALWAYS ON YOUR JOURNEYS ! ENJOYED ! THANK YOU ! DO THEY MAKE A BIGGER GAS TANK FOR SARAH'S VEHICLE ?
Love watching your videos! Thank you! And you always have awesome music!!! Sounds like the songs are all the same vocalist? I'd love to know who it is!
How many miles on 4runner and the GX? What oil/filter do you use? Do you stick to the service manual recommendations or do you do services even earlier?
I am a brand new subscriber & I've been binge watching like crazy! Starting Season 2 this evening! I LOVE TO TRAVEL but we started a homestead so I'm gardening. However. I'd love to know what a YouTubing Overlanders' Top 5 requirements are for a camp site / layover spot. Specifically when you need to edit / upload videos. I might have an option.
What velcro do y'all use to affix your patches to the top of your 4runner? I do the same thing and was actually inspired by yall originally back a few years ago to start collecting patches and affixing them to the top of my 4runner's interior. However, this summer the patches have started to fall off because the heat has melted the glue and the Velcro will stay on the interior roof but the patch will fall off the Velcro. Any advice on how to make sure my patches stick to my interior roof better? I appreciate yall!
Go get high, I mean get some altitude... Cough...Cough... How has the spare tank held up in the 4Runner? I was considering that purchase. I have the rear bumper on the way and having an empty shell there makes me want to purchase the extra gas tank. Cheers and safe travels!
I never comment on videos, but I'd be really skeptical of that transmission. If it puked out oil, it was probably hot. If it was hot, then some clutches were likely slipping. Either that or the torque converter was unlocked for some reason. Were you towing when it happened? I assume the dash probably doesn't tell you that trans temp. Does the vehicle monitoring app you use tell you? If not, you may want to add a trans temp gauge before doing much towing. Also, I been wondering about y'all. If you've posted any videos lately I've missed them. I'm currently on my way home from Colorado. Did Cinnamon Pass yesterday, it was awesome! Be safe and have fun guys.
Hello from Columbia Tn. I have a question on you camper. What is the difference in the one you use or the off road that you can climb in like a tear drop camper just wondering if it makes a difference.
Love watching families together!! Really warms my heart ❤
in 2 different cars???? what gives
Love her expression at 10 mins when u say we got 5-6 hours of driving :) god bless her and may she keep smiling and reading maps ....
Right?! I cracked up when editing that!
Thank you for taking us along. Nice to get a brief respite from the chaos.
In the midst of all this insankty...I can't tell what a calming effect it is to go camping with you guys....thanks for always taking us along...
Don’t split up!!! So much more fun having the family in one vehicle!!
We've really enjoyed it! Love getting to drive.

That kid is so grown and already reading the maps. She'll be driving her own rig and dragging you both around the state pretty soon.
I bet this makes filming some of the driving scenes much easier, one drives ahead and drops the camera. Super cool you guys are awesome.
Thanks!! It was handy for sure!
We are very much looking forward to enjoying the next episodes starting tomorrow. Greetings and wishing you are well. 🖒😃

The GX doesn't look like a soccer Ute anymore. Looks like a tough overlanding vehicle. Good work on the transformation you two. 👍

I may have answered my own question ... RTFM ... or at least look at their website. Doh!
My ancestors are from Bent would love to see a video from around there
Hello I really enjoy your videos. I noticed while you were sitting in the Toyota with your daughter. What is the storage bag/wrap on the driver's sunvisor?
Gosh.... where'd that 19 minutes go???!?!?!?!?!
Have you already defined what is better sleeping bag or blanket?
More videos on the GX please. Between the 4Runner and GX460, which one would you choose?
its ok...we bumble too. lol
At 12:14 it looks like the swaybar bushing has losen ..
That's the KDSS doing its job 👍
@@LifestyleOverland Didn't knew about that as a LR3 guy. Awesome system!
The Lexus is awesome
Can't kill a Toyota (or Lexus)!!
Can you do a quick, follow-up
video on the LRA gas tank?
HIGH TEST OR REGULAR ! BREATHTAKING VIEWS SCENERY COLORS BEAUTY & VIDEO ! HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT TRIP ! BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU ALL ALWAYS ON YOUR JOURNEYS ! ENJOYED ! THANK YOU ! DO THEY MAKE A BIGGER GAS TANK FOR SARAH'S VEHICLE ?

How many miles on 4runner and the GX? What oil/filter do you use? Do you stick to the service manual recommendations or do you do services even earlier?
166,000 on the 4Runner 62,000 on the GX. We service every 5,000 miles with Toyota filters and Mobil 1 synthetic.
I just go synthetic and change every 6500-8500 miles. Try to change it before 7500. Have 130k miles on my gx460
Any news on the RV issue? I saw it a few days ago and haven’t seen any further references to it.
Northern Utah full of aspen groves
Do you run the TPS in the rigs? If so when you air down, do you just ignore the warning light on the dash?
Yes we do and we just ignore the light.
