- For everyone who plays in fullscreen-exclusive, this is a temporary work around to a bug that is currently in the game. Hope this helps! If this doesn't help, then you are likely not using fullscreen exclusive and something else is wrong with the game. There, I cannot help.

Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare II is a first person shooter (FPS) video game in development by InfinityWard and Launches at the end of October 2022. It was published by Activision. MWII is a direct sequel to Modern Warfare 2019. The game features a brand new Campaign, Multiplayer, Special Ops, Warzone 2.0, and DMZ game modes. The gunsmith has been revamped to allow for a new weapon family system. This allows for less time spent leveling up different weapons and more time about unlocking attachments for a specific weapon family. Modern Warfare 2 is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Hi everyone. If this doesn't work for you, then this specific bug is NOT the issue for your case. I cannot give any solutions as I can only learn solutions by having issues happen for me. Unfortunately, if this method doesn't work, I cannot troubleshoot your specific problem.

i am on windows 11 pressing alt enter at the same time is not working.. my game is also not getting as far as yours before it has the problem. it crashes while it is still on the launch/load screen

My game on PC during a match will break fps, cant hit pause nothing makes a constant menu sound, only way to get out is to hard close.
I've had that happen... not sure what causes it though.
I was having issues with the infinite loop of verifying the game files and would only load in sometimes. Im defs gunna try this for sure

I have the same crash but it crashes when the game is about to start after load screen and not at the start.
If the game is freezing up before a match starts, do not spam any buttons. I used to get a lot of scan and repairs before the game loads into a match. Once I stopped spamming buttons it seems to usually come back. A lot of in-game crashes are something that I have not had any hands on testing with finding solutions for as they are unpredictable and hard to troubleshoot.
This is a stupid no sense thing but it worked thank you .

That’s a different bug I have not experienced. Hopefully someone who checks in here might know a work around

So mine crashes mid game not at the main menu would you happen to know any fixes on that? I’ve tried full screen exclusive and borderless and neither work. They both end up crashing during first or second game 🙁
Mid game crashes are random and do not happen all the time for me. I still experience them from time to time but as far as I am aware we are likely going to have to wait for IW to patch those. To increase stability I would use the latest version of windows as well as current driver updates.
@@GFHutchinson I use both of the newest windows and driver updates. It’s just weird that it happens to me every time I launch the game it’s every game. I can’t finish a full hardpoint game without my game crashing. So it’s just really unfortunate!
@@zetract8870 I had that issue and found it to be the upscaling option in the settings, I changed from the amd one to DLSS and that sorted it for me, try different settings n it might work. ATB

can you tell me what to do when your not in the game and it crashes cause i try to launch it but then the scan and repair pops upp immidietely
I would try to verify game file integrity (steam) or do the scan and repair function in battle.net. If it comes back as no files are corrupt, then I’d have no idea. Problems have to occur for me to troubleshoot them. I haven’t had that.
I’ve had the same issue since launch. Been through every tutorial across the internet, hopefully we can find a fix soon lol
I can load my game but I can’t play multiplayer like I start a match and it crashes after 2-3 minutes after I get in a match so ima see if this helps hopefully so bc it’s annoying not being able to play multiplayer like I can play the dmz mode perfectly fine
I'm not sure if this is going to help for that, because this is specifically for the endless scan bug with fullscreen. As for multiplayer match crashing, that is likely something else. Unfortunately I wouldn't be sure how to fix that, as for I have not had those issues which means I am not sure how to troubleshoot them. It is always worth a try though!

I feel that, unfortunately there are still a lot of crashing errors that aren't resolved... I still get some that are un-related to this video. Some crashing we can troubleshoot ourselves, others... not so much. Best of luck!

Shouldn’t do that. Maybe click on screen with your mouse a few times then try it. Could be that the game isn’t recognized as the main app right away

@@3milio0o95 did that. I scan and repair, I uninstalled it.
Steam or battle.net? I had the issue as well prior, but it auto fixed itself. I wasn’t sure what I did to fix it as it didn’t happen again.

@@GFHutchinson I only had two so far and the scan and repair for cod MW2 to speed it up tried clearing out the large files used to be faster for Cold War too not sure what the cause of scan and repair is being so slow

The game keeps crashing at "Loading playerstats" no matter if I run in windowed mode or not.. 🥺
I managed to get into the game by activating debug mode in Nvidia Control Panel.. DLSS and/or overclocking seems to be a big no no.
@@Fraggo Glad you were able to figure out the issue! only thing I have overclocked is my ram. I do not use DLSS as it looks blurry to me!
@@GFHutchinson I usually play with DLSS on quality setting, the increased frames are more important than the sharpness, but I agree about the soft image..
The RTX2070 is bottlenecking for me on 1440p, 40-60 frames with DLSS off vs 80-100 on.

Didn't help, game still crashes anywhere between launching and getting into a game. I've yet to even pick up a gun, let alone play the game for more than 5 minutes before a crash.
I would not know what that bug is, have not experienced this. Only thing I can recommend is making sure your PC is up to date and so are drivers!

I haven't gotten past seeing the black screen with the green II in the bottom right without it crashing
Make sure (if your game was set to full screen exclusive) that you press this as soon as the game goes to full screen. If this isn’t working, then this bug work around is not the solution for your specific problem

My game crashes like mid match
That's a normal thing right now on the current build of the game. You can reduce the frequency of this happening by ensuring you are on the latest version of windows and the latest driver versions. Other than that, IW needs to put out a fix to what is causing those specific crashes. I can't test those as they are inconsistent.

Make sure you do it quick enough and wait until you are at the main menu

Interestingly enough, safe mode did not fix the issue for me. Which really had me scratching my head while I was trying to troubleshoot the error.
