I want the devs to buff the pets that work on tier upgrade because they work 5 times a game maximum, they should at least be activated once every two turns or every odd numbered turns.

I'm sorry, I tried to research this myself but the SAP wiki sucks. What is hard mode and how does that make any sense in a competitive game? Are you choosing to hamstring yourself? Can you be in normal mode and find yourself playing against a hard mode player? Why don't you fight other hard mode players? Please. D:
hard mode forces you to pick a disadvantage every two turns, which are represented by the rubber duck, unicycle, etc... this mode is intended for veterans which have been finding the game too easy, especially with the new life system. as for matchmaking, I know that normal mode players wont face hard mode teams, but I'm not sure about hard mode players facing normal teams. since this is meant to be a challenge, in hard mode only your team will recieve the disadvantage, even if your opponent's team is also from a hard mode player. so whether you play normal mode or hard mode, you'll never see hard mode challenges apply to your opponent, if that makes sense. I know my explanation wasnt great, but I'm happy to try and explain elements of it more if you're confused by any of it, so just let me know!
People don't play against each other live. You will not encounter any other players with hard mode effects in battle. The enemy team that you fight most had most likely already played another team hours earlier.
I've had my account basically since the games release but I barely play, so is that why I get matched up against insane teams or do I just have skill issue.
i don't know if it would be more fun but maybe modifiers towards the end (maybe depending on number of wins) should always be battle modifiers. but maybe thats just me as a content watcher and not as a player

This can be kinda bad. Pillbug can become very powerful and a must for turn 3 for example if buffed.

The baboon works on tier 6 pets permanently and every other one is is supposed to be used sparingly anyway.
