I think shelly's skill check being higher then vee makes sense as it's shown shelly is a precise person, well, mainly in regards to how she treats the fossils in the one cartoon gently and takes her time. So I can see her treating an ichor machine with care but efficiency.
I can explain the skill check ones: Finn is a fisherman, and fishing takes quite a lot of precision and skill to pull of well and consistently. Shelly is an archeologist, she needs to have precise hand-eye coordination in order to consistently gather samples without damaging them.
Another one is that Connie has 5 star stealth but her active ability is literally a free smoke bomb. But her movement speed really makes it a little sense.
I feel like the sprout and astro one is a little reasonable because astro uses his “magic” or whatever to extract and I can see him having steady hands so i could see him have even higher extraction speed.
Also, from a dialogue, sprout states it would be easier if it worked like an oven, meaning it doesn’t work like an oven, so sprout doesn’t know how to work it.
1: goob is likely made of nothing but ichor, fur, and metal wires. He would be pretty light if that it’s all that he has making up his body. 2: skill check is likely based on the toons ability to keep focus on the machine. Fishing and cleaning both require high levels of patience to do. 3: Teagan probably has a ton of glitter in her outfit to seem more fancy I guess. Either that or twisteds really want to go to another tea party 4: Astro probably looked into the dreams of workers at garden view before the place closed down so he could learn how to do machines better. 5: if Shelly has the attention span big enough to yap about dinosaurs for hours on end to other toons without getting bored, she certainly has enough to stay focused on a machine. 6: cosmo ( before garden view closed ) likely did more of fetching ingredients from around the place while sprout did more baking, explaining how their stamina is 4. Also strawberry’s are usually healthy to eat, so due to being a strawberry, sprout has a lot of stamina. 7: detective work requires a person to be very attentive to whatever they are working on. The same explanations for 2 and 5 apply here. Though I don’t have any excuse for cosmos skill check being so low. Maybe he is thinking about new things that he could bake ( which takes his attention off of extracting ) but idk.
