- The CubCrafters NX-Cub aircraft features a V-strut-braced high-wing, a two-seats-in-tandem enclosed cockpit accessed via doors, fixed aluminum sprung conventional landing gear and a single engine in tractor configuration. The aircraft is made from welded CNC-milled 4130 steel tubing, with its flying surfaces covered in doped aircraft fabric. Its 34.3 ft (10.5 m) span wing has an area of 174.8 sq. ft (16.24 m2) and mounts flaps. The controls are driven by torque tubes, instead of cables, with the aileron tubes running inside the V-struts. The standard engine available is the 180 hp (134 kW) Lycoming O-360-C1 (CC363i) four-stroke powerplant, driving a Hartzell Trailblazer composite, constant speed propeller. In July 2019 a 215 hp (160 kW) version powered by a Lycoming IO-390 (CC393i) engine and a Hartzell Pathfinder three-bladed propeller was introduced as the CC19-215. The new powerplant requires a new cowling and baffles.
Start-up, taxi and depart from (PADU) Unalaska Airport is a state-owned public-use airport in City of Unalaska, on Amaknak Island in the Aleutian Islands, off the coast of the U.S. state of Alaska. It is located near the Bering Sea coast of Unalaska Island, 800 miles southwest of Anchorage and 1,950 miles from Seattle.
Fly "round-about" the Bering Sea coast of Unalaska Island; then land, taxi, and park for arrival right back at (PADU).
"FYI: When I could, I followed the "Bush League Legends" (BLL) band of virtual pilots that fly together every Monday and Thursday night at 7EST. They're slowly flying around the World, in a challenging and touring sort of way! They provide the (60+) CubCrafter X-Cub liveries (of which "MSGT-MAC " is one of them). BLL also provides mods and some Bush sceneries for downloading! They welcome all virtual pilots, with whatever aircraft they wish to fly, using MSFS 2020. (WARNING: If someone calls "DEAD-STICK", everyone flying with BLL has to kill their engine, and land safely... It can be dangerous! LOL!) Follow them on Discord, Twitch, etc. I think most virtual pilots use "LittleNavMap" for making the FlightPlans, that BLL provides prior to take-off, on their Discord channel!" "I always learn something. I had a BLAST when I could!" "Shout-Out to CarbonProp & EzRyder...!" "THANKS!"
