Oh my goodness, I’m playing Nancy for my English class and I suppose I have to practise my death, I feel so bad for Nancy!! Bill Sikes is such a horrible person!
I still don't understand why Sykes was mad at Nancy for helping Oliver. And I forgot that Elijah Wood aka Frodo Baggins was in this version. He did a great job in this role, although my favorite in this version has to been Richard Dreyfus as Fagin. He was the best in my opinion!
Hes the villain and murderer. But i get your question. Bill has no empathy for anyone. He was afraid the game would be up since Nancy peached. Well it definitely is now thanks ro Bullseye turning against him. You should watch the 2005 version. It's more like the book and gives more detail of how Bill was more triggered. This Bill protrayal was terrifying to me as kid growing up in the 90s. When Bill was walking calmly and speaking softly and more menacingly, i knew it was a matter of seconds before he lashed out. But the best Bill Sikes to me is Oliver Reed in 1969. He will always be favorite Bill Sikes. Then David O'Hara in this one.
I always felt a pang of sadness at this part.. :(
'68 one was far superior in every way ..
Yes Oliver wasn't some totally happy musical as Bill Sikes was its dark side and the scenes at the end make it even more watchable.
Indeed. Despite it being a musical, Carol Reed and company gave it a serious and dark overlay that is brilliant in so many ways
YES
Fun fact: David O'hara was in Harry Potter 7.1 film as Albert Runcorn.
i played nancy in school and that secene was very hard my mam and dad came to see me twice that week

Why they can't seem to stick to the book which is brilliantly written...I can't understand.
I dont think they can for a tv disney movie due to Nancy's death being so brutal in the book.
@@geoffg8840 i read the book and it was light work

It's too bad they don't have this on Disney Plus

Everybody is lovin' the 68
1:46 Is that Frodo Baggins? XD
Yep, it's Elijah Wood.
I hate how in this version the dodger is a teen/ young adult
Who is he normally
Frodo! Your duty is too the ring! xD
Nothing compare dot to 1968
Right!? He's supposed to be like, ten. -_-
Yeah I thought I knew him!!!
this film was terrible
this bill sikes has such a weak voice! he's not scary or tough at all!
This movie is made for (younger) Kids. Thats way David O'Hara wasn't that scary and why they don't show how he really hits her...
Yes he is!
