By the way, Lisa coming in to YG was what we call "A RINGER". She was THE one person who consistently got straight A's/highest marks in every class they put her in. That's why when Jennie saw her, she said, "my god, there ARE some people who were just BORN to do this." Lisa showed up at age 14 in Korea. But she had not only been rapping, doing hip hop in the streets performing practically since she could walk, She had already been touring Thailand IN dance groups for nearly 7 years before YG saw her. Out of everyone at YG, including many instructors there, Lisa had more sheer "on stage" experience that anyone there. Her teachers were in awe. She's already great at all of this,... she should be teaching this stuff. Having Lisa dance in a girl group,... in ANY stage performance group was a slam dunk. She had already been doing it for nearly 7 years. When you see her confidence in those first performances, it's earned confidence. When she throws that look into the camera or out at the audience, it is a look that tells you SHE KNOWS HOW TO DO THIS!!! She's been doing it for years,... and she loves it (which you also can feel with her). She also knows how to get the best out of her dance partners. Putting her in the teaching role here MEANS,... she WILL get results out of this crew. There's really more to her than you see in these clip collections. Lisa showed up at YG already a seasoned professional.
Most talented kpop idol. A real stan attractor, and hated by many because of insecurity and jealousy. Just discovered her last year and i got obsessed with her without knowing i can't praise her freely without deranged kpop fans attacking me. Nothing can change my opinion, i even attended bp concert and she's always the best and she's bigger than kpop. Yeah bro i'm in love with her.
I was a blink but I became her solo stan bc I got shocked when I complimented only her ,the blackpink fans attacked me for only praising her and accused me that I was solo stan so eventually bc of that I really became a solo stan of Lisa
She’s a sweetheart. But if you mess up a dance, you get the teeth. And as you said, she’s a perfectionist. Those girls are here to compete. There’s no room for second place. She’s trying to get the best of those girls .
I don't even think you get the teeth. She is blunt, she doesn't bite. If you mess up she will tell you so; and then she'll politely ask you to please come here and do it again. She'd only get angry if people aren't taking the process seriously, not if someone merely messes up, not even if someone is just bad. Only if they don't try their best. I did not like this video at all, the edits are excessive and instead of enhancing the original, it detracts from it.
Yes. The "Jisoo Signal" videos are funny, but they add so many filters, effects and inserted memes that it can be hard to really get a feel for what was actually happening in the show. (I have to admit that even after seeing this and another one several times, there are still some of the inserted Kpop memes that make no sense to me...and actually no reactors have been able to understand them either.)
Discovered u so late but here for Lisa ...❤ Do what u r doing thnk u sm for supporting n adoring our Lisa..... Don't stop loving her n m really sorry for u getting hate just cuz u love Lisa 🥺...like it's has became a taboo for every ytubers to love Lisa in bp 😭😭like it's so sickening to see Lisa gets so hate just for simply existing... But thnk u sm ...❤❤❤❤here to support u
It's not just that she is a perfectionist. She absolutely is. But also, she needs to consider her name and her reputation. She cannot afford to let someone slide if she knows they can do better. She cannot put her Lisa stamp of approval on a subpar product. They came to Lisa, known as one of the best dancers among K-pop idols, to help them improve; if they not get the top-notch training, she does not deserve her title.
She got every short time (1week) to get these trainees ready to perform on stage for the judges , they got new assignments every weeks with new teammates. Most of the trainees were train with different agencies before, some well known names but some never train before some were TIKTOKER etc. The girl that LISA told her to smile was a well known rapper,so normally she doesn't smile or dance but after this she started to smile and change her look, she looks a lot prettier after this, but she didn't make it to the debut, they only want 9 girls (the 9 highest score) for the new girl group "THE 9".
You're right about the part when the one contestant said she'd been training for two months. Lisa complimented her. Even though she was slightly less skilled than others on that team (who had extensive experience), Lisa was just pointing out that she was doing really well for only having two months of dance training.
Thanks for the reaction. Lisa as a mentor on Seasons 2 and 3 of the Chinese "Youth With You" (produced by the IQIYI (pronounced like eye-chi-yee) broadcast company was fantastic and an opportunity to see a whole other side of her personality (the disciplined, hard-working, dedicated side that we know exists, but often isn't shown so directly). Although there were many very talented people in the show, including other mentors who are big celebrities and stars in their own right, Lisa (as the principal dance mentor) was undoubtedly the star of the show and one of the main attractions for viewers around the world. There is also another series of compilation videos called "Mentor Lisa in a Nutshell" that highlights mostly her stricter, blunter and no-nonsense encounters with the show's contestants as they prepared for various rounds of competition. (The one you watched here tends to be quite heavy on editing and added special effects.) IQIYI also uploaded on their official channel several Lisa related videos (which turned out to be generally the most-viewed on the channel), including several that highlighted strict moments. In the past, the official IQIYI videos have tended to be copyright sensitive. But for whatever reason, the compilations by others seem to not get targeted. It can be a gamble with the official IQIYI videos. Sometimes reactors have no problems. In any case, they're worth watching for more context. One thing to keep in mind is that the popular compilations of "strict mentor LIsa" moments are popular because they show scenes that are so different from Lisa's typical demeanor. But they aren't really representative of how she was throughout the shows. She was generally VERY encouraging and supportive of all the contestants throughout the season. But she didn't waste people's time by sugar coating things when they were messing up. The strictest moments always occurred at crunch times when the various teams and individuals had very little time remaining before a round of competition...and their performance in that competition could lead to their elimination from the show or dropping down in the rankings severely. (The premise of the show was to start with 109 contestants...and then end up with only 9 survivors at the end of the season, who would then become a group that would be promoted for a year, with an album, concerts, endorsement deals, etc. The winners of the season were that group of nine...and their group name was "The Nine".). Lisa's job as mentor was to quickly identify problems that needed to be corrected, help them correct the problems with coaching and make sure that the members of the various teams knew what they had to do to help each other. Contrary to what some people (especially those who didn't understand the context of the show) mistakenly thought, Lisa didn't have time to sugar-coat her coaching. She couldn't spend time in one-on-one coaching of struggling individuals to spare them embarrassment because the competitions were team endeavors and it was the responsibility of the team members (especially the stronger team members) to listen to what Lisa was pointing out and then work together in team practices to correct the mistakes. Season 2 (Lisa's first as a mentor for the show) was for female contestants. Season 3 (Lisa's second as a mentor) was for male contestants. AFAIK, she was the only mentor who did two seasons, since the show ordinarily has a different set of mentors each year. Lisa was so popular on the show that they wanted her back. One unfortunate thing is that much of the two seasons occurred during 2020 and 2021 when travel restrictions came into effect. Lisa was able to be in China for the first few episodes. But after that she had to work with them remotely through video-conferencing connections. Probably too much information above. But I think it helps people enjoy the compilation videos more if they understand the fuller context.
What's missing here is the RESULTS she gets thru this training. Look up Youth with you Lisa dance numbers. You will see OUTSTANDING performances with THESE very girls dancing behind Lisa,.. with Lisa front and center leading them. These are missing great dance performances of Lisa that no one ever watches. It's her with these girls behind her doing entire dance routines to music. They are all stunningly good at the finish of this program. And no one ever screens the resulting dance numbers. You won't regret seeing the results of her hard edged training. Also KEEP IN MIND where Lisa came from. At YG, people regularly got sent home/fired. It was HARSH and demanding and relentless. She is actually being relatively easy on them considering what she & her friends went thru.
Lisa is the best mentor,🥰and i loveeee mentor Lisa💛 She is always in serious work, especially in dancing! But apart from work, she is very kind, caring and cute, in fact she is only serious at work👌🏼I miss mentor Lisa🥺
This chinese show did not let lisa speak korean at all because of the beef between china and south korea government issue during that time. She is speaking thai and english on this chinese girl group survival show. She in a korean girl group but she couldn’t speak one word of it 😢
So find this entire program, I believe it is more than one episode as you follow these teams progressions on Youth with You. I forget the exact english translation of the shows exact title. She is training them for a competition. These girls are "TEAM LISA". she leads them in their final performances,... they dance in unison behind her as she dances with them. What you're seeing here is cut up little pieces of this longer program where she trains them as her team. Trust me at the end of this, this team is in synch and tight in formations. This only shows you the beginning of her preparations. Just like the Iron Combat military boot camp program that has clips floating thru these collections. There is a lot more of Lisa & her group overcoming great challenges in combat training in that show. There is just loads more in these shows that nobody ever watches on RUclips.
Love your reactions always! To me you made the very best of this way-to-edited and goofy video. I think it’s actually mostly funny but unfortunate you found this one instead of the other one other commenters mentioned as your first. Even through all the over-editing you really got it anyway, so great job yet again! Thx! 👍🖤💜🖤💜
You might want to check out the show youth with you, I enjoyed this edit but it doesn't do the situation justice and you will also get to see the softer side of mentor lisa❤😊
I'd be unalived for even trying 🤣She's my bias too but I totally get where she's coming from, I'm the same when I teach someone say at work, I've always aimed to perfect the art of what I'm doing to the point that I like it even if it's complicated to learn. So when I teach someone, I basically want them to put the same energy into it. Like you said, it's about getting to the standard that you hold yourself to. And totally unrelated but are you Canadian or lived in Canada before by any chance? You remind me of someone I met in my past but can't quite recall, very random I know.
Actually during the filming (and in the clips in this video), she was speaking Thai and English and they had a translator for both her and the contestants, they just edited that out so it was seamless for the final cut. Lisa did learn Mandarin during/for this show, but for the most part she was speaking in English and Thai.
She speaks very little mandarin, she mainly said things in Thai and english and there was an interpreter with her. The show just cut the interpreter’s part and add subtitle to make it flow and not boring.
She speaks in English , Thai, and a little bit of Mandarin to the girls on the show. China doesn’t allow her to speak Korean in China…and I don’t think anyone needed her to speak Japanese for the broadcast. When she was talking about the bottles for instance that was Thai she was speaking.
@@emanymton713 Not to mention, aside from the pre-rehearsed comments, I have never seen any evidence of her speaking Japanese at any level. In an old old interview the others spoke some beginner-level Japanese, Lisa never did. Also, at most she has claimed is to speak "some Japanese", AFAIK. Similarly with Chinese: she has only demonstrated picking up a couple of phrases. She didn't learn Mandarin during/for the show, she learned _a bit of_ Mandarin. She may have learned more since, and I may have missed new material in more recent years, but as far as I can tell, the claims of Lisa's fluency in both Chinese and Japanese are a Blink fantasy. She does speak amazing Korean and English, and she dances like a demon, no-one can deny she is a very talented person; there is no need to invent skills she does not have.
