- Happy July 4th!
This is my monthly walking tour video of Seattle's Pike Place Market for July 2021. This narrated tour begins at around at a little after 9 AM at the market's main entrance. One main difference between this month's and last's monthly tour is that Seattle (Washington State, actually) lifted it's mask mandate so you see people inside the market without masks. However, some businesses still require that people wear masks so you'll still still masks.
See how this popular Seattle tourist destination looks in comparison to previous months. I visit the main shops and areas of Pike Place Market in this video, including of course the Gum Wall. Also, you will see the "piano man" for the first time in this year in this video. The City of Seattle finally let performers back to the market!
I finally decided to go ahead and create a Patreon account for this channel. Support the Lao Ocean channel and the many adventures ahead by subscribing to the Lao Ocean coffee fund. Here's the link: / laoocean

I will be in Seattle July 29th to August 2nd. Cant wait to see pikes market. I do use a Walker. I hope most places will be accommodating
I’m flying to Seattle for vacation on Friday! These walkthroughs have been getting me hyped up for the past 2 months!
Thank you for watching!
My favorite shop is Tenzing MoMo... Best essential oils in town, and the herbal tea blends... You are so refreshing to watch, I have a bad knee so I haven't walked around Seattle in over 10 years after 3 surgeries to my ACL... I will definitely be getting a wheelchair so I can tour my own city before summer is over... Love the produce at pike place... Thanks so much for sharing, makes me want to drive the 35 minutes to hangout at the market and get some shopping done.
Thank you for watching!

Cool video! I always wanted to go visit there. By the way, what camera set up did you use for this video? Quality is great!
Thanks for watching! I used an Osmo Pocket 2.
@@LaoOcean Thanks for info!
Thank you so much for doing this! I have been watching walk throughs of channels who do tours of Seattle, my city. For someone who suffers general anxiety, this is very calming to watch. While the pandemic is slowing coming to an end, it has been a bit difficult to come out of my shell. Pls keep doing these!
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment! I do these monthly, so see you at the market in August! 😊
Always watch your videos the whole way through! I enjoy the neighborhood strolls and chats with the locals and visitors! Keep up the good work! 👍
Johnny Hahn!! Piano Man!
I'm falling in love with the market again but it can get trivial
I’m glad to see that the Pikes Mkt place is looking. Normal again , figured it would look like a homeless encampment run amok , not the case i see , good to know its safe to travel and visit there again
Happy 4th from Macedonia
Ive been here 11 years ago i can't believe its been 11 yrs
Always enjoy your walks and comments about your city. Will be visiting at the end of the summer and can’t wait. Would be very interested in you documenting the return of the cruise ships to Seattle. From what I understand the Alaska cruises are to resume at the end of July .
Thank you for watching! Yes, the buzz is that the ships will return at the end of the month.
Hey my Laos brotha, what is your favorite local Lao restaurant? My family and I already booked our mini vacation at the end of July and I'm in search for the best "gang nor mai" dish. I'm cambodian btw and I been watching your video for awhile now. Very helpful and informative. I'll highly recommend your channel to family and friends that want to visit Seattle. Thanks! and keep up the awesome video and editing. Much RESPECT!
Thanks for watching and the support, brother. For Good Lao food go to Viengthong Restaurant. There’s also Vientiane Grocery Store which has a fantastic hot deli. Both are in south Seattle. Tell them Lao Ocean sent you. 😉
Thank you sooo much!! I will definitely check it out. Much love brotha, stay safe!
@@LaoOcean do you give in person tours? Coming this weekend
@@abc1111x I’m currently not doing in person tours, although I have thought about it.
Happy Independence Day
Hi dude I haven’t been to Seattle since 2018 what is it like these days
I was there on June 5-12, 2021. I fell in love with Seattle so much! Surely I will return next summer. I already created Segments 1 and 2 of my Seattle tour vlog and I credited you on the Dr. Jose Rizal Park and Bridge. See it on August once I completed Segment 3 (coz right now I’m in Colorado). Thanks for all your tour recommendations.
Thank you for watching!
Cool!
Great to see Pike Place Market getting back to some sort of normality. Love the monthly updates and still keep seeing new things. We went to the Starbucks Reserve where you can see all the coffee being processed. Might be a nice video for you to do later. Great walk again Dennis.
I watched your video all the way through. I know I 'm watching them out of order, but I select them according to my mood and the length I feel like watching at the moment.
When you come out of Pike Place Market, there is a billboard in the distance of a woman. I feel like I ought to know who she is? She seems familiar. Do you know who she is? I have seen the billboard in a number of your videos. Thanks for a great walk.
I'm actually kind of surprised at how few people are wearing masks....Thanks for making these, gives me something to look forward to.
Thank you for watching!
Happy 4th Dennis! 🎆 🧨 🇺🇸 🎉 🥳
Happy 4th to you and thank you!
Did you do a Vedic on Ravenna distric?
Can you show places where we can eat for takeout food around pike place.
What happened to the magazine and newspaper store? They had a long run and now its tables. Too bad.
I’m not sure, but it’s sad to see that they’re no longer there.
I have never honestly checked put any of the shops near the gum wall. Are they worth it?
My first video and watched it till the end
Awesome!
Lao Ocean, where's the best dim sum in seattle?
Jade Garden and Harbor City are a couple of my faves in Chinatown.
Although the city is open, bus tours are not going to functional until the summer of 2022! That was really disappointing.
Why as a civilized Indian will I want to go down that alley as a local I avoided but I seen it
You're a braver man than I I would never go to the Gum Wall alone or anyways
