What does it mean it only supports 256GB? What happens if you install more than that? Also you say you can install 2TB in the regular drive, but in the page of Dell specifications it says the maximum is 500GB. I have on mine Dell 3481 1TB, so I'm confused about this
In the specs they write the max value of the drive that you can buy it in the shop. That douse not mean that it cannot support more.

After upgrading the ssd and ram is the performance better for graphic work.

You are asking about memory or storage. You can install bigger ssd disk than 256bg, if that is your question.

All depend on the model and configuration of both. But the SSD will make it a lot faster. Consider adding SSD to the Dell laptop ( if you buy that one )

It all depend on what you gonna use it for. For a regular use is ok, but is not a gaming laptop. It is a mid class machine

Well it is pretty much the same. Just open the laptop and put the disk on the 2,5" place on the left of the battery.

brother if I replaced HDD to c drive and insert SSD on the HDD slot, then I want to replace my windows on SSD . what i have to do, may I reinstall windows or have another process to clone it.
Do we need to disconnect the battery before installing the SSD? I am a newbie to technology. Will I be able to install a ssd ? Is it complicated?
It is not complicated, it is like installing a ram stick, just with a screw. It is not necessary to disconnect the battery but it is recommended. If you accidentally short somthing when you plig the ssd it is safer sith the battery disconnected.

If the apps was installed after that, probably you need to install them again. Did you use the option "keep my files.." also try to log with your Windows account if you have one. Also try Windows update.

No need. Just add the M. 2 drive. No need to remove the old disk. Just put the windows on the ssd and leave the regular disk for storage.

If you don't have ssd now, when adding one, the laptop will become faster. If you add more RAM, you can do more things at the same time. It will not increase the cpu clock speed, it will make the things happens faster. :)

All depend on the configuration you have and other things, like display brightness, wifi, bluetooth, wifi mouse etc. It can vary between 2h and 8h. (+/-) But it can easly go to about 4-5h i think.

It should work with both, according to the specifications: One M.2 2280 solid-state drive, Class 35 and Class 40

Sata 3 and pci are different interfaces. If you are talking for the regular sata interface, you can plug or regular disk, or ssd sata disk. What is the current configuration... So i can give you better answer.

What do you mean by "Can't start the ssd" You dont see it in bios, you dont see it during instalation....

You are trying to install windows 10?. Also you install under UEFI mode. Try making the bootable flash drive with media creation tool. Remove the regular disk and leave only the ssd. Than start the instalation and see will it finish fine.

No, some of the models have integrated graphics in the cpu, other have separate chip on the board. The cooling is different so are the fans. Best way is to check the fan that you have now and install the same. Also you can just clean and lubricate the one you have now. No need to replace it if is working.

I dont have the same laptop in the shop right now. Usually when you add m. 2 ssd it become default boot drive. Otherwise you can change it drom the boot menu in the bios... Just move the m. 2 ssd on the top of the list.

Yes it has to be pci-e nvme ssd. You can add 512gb even 1tb drive.

Dude i have the i3 version of this laptop, can I replace the hdd with a 500gb ssd on sata but im afraid that I will lose my windows activation code when I reinstall OS.
The OS is writen in the bios. If you have a legal windows 10 and you reinstall the windows it will activate automatically. Also you can clone the os witg aomei backupper or acronis true image.
@@LaptopDisassembly Thanks Im planning to reinstall windows on new ssd to replace the hdd because in task manager the disk usage is always at 100% and I keep getting random BSOD I think the culprit might be a failing hdd.
It is very often that the bad hard drive can cause that type of problems.

Any nvme 2280 ssd should work. Depend on the budget you can go for 128 or 256gb models. Kingston A2000, Adata XPG series or Samsung models. Look for a model with bigger warranty.

No it will not make a difference. Probably you are with regular hard drive. Put an m. 2 2280 ssd and install the os on it. The laptop will become faster and the lag will disappear

No, this is a regular M. 2 2280 drive. In order to work in that model it should be nvme type.

The dvd rom is held by one screw on the back. Just remove it and proceed with the disassemble.

The other recommended Team Group card TM8FP3256G0C101 MP32 M.2 256GB (1500 / 800MB / s) PCIe + NVMe SS is quite expensive here half the difference.
Do you notice a lot in perfonmas what do you think about this and what other elevations can I do on this laptop.

I have Dell 15 3585, I tried installing m.2 SSD SATA 3 WD 240GB and it didn't recognized the SSD. Do you think NVME SSD will work?
Read tge description under the video. The laptop works only with ssd clas 40...nvme ssd. The regular ones not work. I try two different ones... Only nvme works fine.

There's a confirmations with i7.. But you cannot upgrade because the cpu is soldered on the board.

You can i install B+M key on M key interface but not on reverse.

Did anyone manage to install Windows 7 64?
Windows предполагам може да се инсталира, но проблема са драйверите, особено видеокартата. Тя е Intel UHD и до колкото знам за нея няма драйвери. Има разни доработки по сайтовете, но не работи управлението на яркостта т.н. За да се инсталира 7-ца е необходимо да се пусне лаптопа в Legacy режим и да спре Secure Boot ( ако ги има като опции, в зависимост от версията на BIOS )
@@LaptopDisassembly По принцип да, но тук няма драйвери за USB 3.0, а такива няма за Windows 7. DVD-то е закачено на USB порта.
@@vvasilev1 Аз използвам диск, който е правен за Skylake в който има такива драйвери. В началото при тяхното пускане ( на Skylake ) някой от производителите пуснаха на сайта си една добавка за вграждане на такива драйвери. До момента работи и съм качвал на такъв лаптоп.. но е доста тегаво с драйверите... ще се опитам да намеря линк и ще го пусна тук ако успея.
