I agree, there’s just certain things you don’t do- and thrusting your hips so hard your dancer goes flying as well as touching yourself BELOW the clothes belongs in an adult club, not a public concert. I’m 30 and I don’t want to see that at a public concert tbh. If it’s a show that’s advertised as being spicy 🌶️- that’s another story.

i think the problem with jojo is that we all had the privilege of exploring these adult things by ourselves in the privacy of our own lives. jojo doesn’t. she’s always been a public figure, she grew up there. the problem is that knowing she’s been a public figure, she should have consciousness over that, or a team that does for her. yes it’s unfair that she has to deal with that part, but that’s what it is. she doesn’t get the privilege of exploring the world the way she’s doing because she doesn’t. period. it might sound rude and it might sound bitchy, but she doesn’t. she’s influencing the little kids that are watching her, she’s influencing the adults around her. causing a problem that with a little consideration and empathy towards her audience would’ve been avoided. she’s gone now cus there’s no going back anymore, but it still bothers me.

It's not that simple. JJ publicly acknowledged the presence of a child and followed it up with inappropriate behavior that is outright illegal to do in the presence of minors. Because JJ announced that a child is there, she ruined much of her legal defense. Yes, the parents have culpability, but that blame doesn't supersede the law.

True, that's a problem imo. They shouldn't be advertising it as such, but I also think people know by now to take that "kid friendly" label with a grain of salt... Like no matter what you tell me about kid areas and 18+ areas, I'm not bringing my niblings to Folsom Street fair.
On the other hand, my city has pride fest every year, and it's genuinely a family event. People don't walk around in "festlich" gear, clothing NOT optional, it's all local businesses and artists setting up booths, cute stuff like face painting, regular city festival things but with more rainbows and a parade at noon on sunday. I think that's what pride should be- "look it's normal to be gay, we're regular people having a nice weekend." that vibe.

A bit unrelated to Jojo but I took my 12 year old sister to her first pride, I googled the event, and made sure it was family/kid friendly first. If this was an 18+ event and parents still took their kids, that’s on them, if it wasn’t marked as 18+ then it’s on Jojo.
I looked it up, and it was LA Pride in the Park, which is an all ages event.
She supposed to perform at 14:00 (2:00pm) at Chicago Pride this weekend that is marketed as ‘family friendly’ with separate areas for the 18-21+ adults,the minors, and even the 55+ have an area they can separately hang out in. A stage at a public event in the daytime is typically for everyone.
I’m so much more pissed off that she’s performing there.

This reminds me of the Olivia Rodrigo concert situation where parents took their young daughters to see her and didn’t do their homework on who she was now and were mad at Olivia for being inappropriate. I went to one of her shows and had the grandest time, I’m 18 btw. I saw a lot of parents with their 11 year old daughters and their friends and I saw some parents who were appalled by what she was doing on stage and the lyrics she was singing. I think JoJo is a little weird and this whole “rebranding” is cringe but I don’t think it’s her fault that parents brought their children to see her. Especially when she explicitly stated on her Instagram that she was no longer making content for children anymore

I think it's only more jarring because jojo was a literal kid's performer and sold things to kids for so long and then suddenly did this. I don't recall Olivia rebranding so drastically or at all so I think that's why it's not apples to apples. This is like a rug pull. I can totally understand why parents don't know this happened yet. I know in time it's gonna be more known but it's been like a month.

The Pride Festival is marketed as kid friendly, and Jojo was 100% aware of there being children there, she even called out a kid in the audience saying "theres a six year old right there" and she proceeded to swear at them telling them to stay. THANK YOU for holding the parents accountable for being stupid enough to take their kids to a show that is stated as not being child friendly. It makes me so mad because so many artists are blamed/cancelled/banned because parents take their children to shows that aren't child friendly and then get mad when the artist does something inappropriate for a child audience

I'm autistic, so I get into routines. When I find a RUclipsr that I really like, nothing means the world to me more than consistent uploading. Thank you so much for your consistent schedule of uploads. My son is also autistic, and he has a brain tumor. I have been watching your content more, and more recently, and a couple weeks ago my son had a seizure. He then had another one at school. We've been waiting for an MRI, that had to be rescheduled because he had a cold and he has to be put under for it due to his autism.
I've been watching your content, while nervously waiting for this MRI, letting your content keep my mind off of it. It's become a daily ritual to watch your videos, and it's one of the only times that I'm able to forget about everything for a moment. I want to thank you so much for regularly uploading and being a source of positivity in my life. Tomorrow is my son's actual MRI. The results will determine whether or not he needs brain surgery. The tumor isn't a part of the brain that controls movement, so surgery could cause him to need to relearn to walk, as well as various other issues that were not aware of yet. I'm praying that he won't need brain surgery and that the results of the MRI are Positive. I will be re-watching a bunch of your vids to keep my mind off of it during his procedure tomorrow. Thank you again for being one of the only positive things to help me keep my mind off of this. If you guys could keep my son in your thoughts, it would mean the world to me. 🩵🩵🩵

I cant believe parents bring their kids to an 18+ event. Im in my mid-teenage years and I went to pride last year and plan to this year but thats why im glad that my festival has just 18+ rooms and times closer to the end of the festival.

It does specify. If you go to the L.A. Pride in the Parks website, it says it is an all ages event with 18+ and 21+ areas. The parents didn’t do anything wrong by bringing their kids to an all ages event.

I just can’t get out of my head that Jojo said in Meghan Trainor’s Workin’ It podcast during her press tour for Karma that she was planning an “everything but alcohol” party for her 21st. We see this often in our own towns, Of friends or classmates. When they leave strict environments, they do many things simultaneously, feeling like they missed out on so much and trying to compensate for it. The only difference is Jojo is a public figure, so the entire internet sees "everything" or at least sees her grow up for the most part.

I looked it up and the Pride event that Jojo went to is advertised as an all-ages event, so I can understand if parents expected it to be family-friendly. I've been recommended a lot of videos about this lately. I think if a pride event is going to be advertised as all ages or family friendly then it needs to actually be family-friendly. Pride is absolutely an all ages event. There are going to be areas that specifically cater to people 18+, but that doesn’t mean the entire event is only 18+.

So many pride events are labeled as all age and people tend to ignore it, wearing and doing inappropriate things. Whether it’s an all adult event or not, I don’t think someone should be putting their hand in their pants in public. I doubt adults are paying attention to what jojo is doing in present time, they know what their children tell them most likely. She still sells bows at stores, 90% of her music is for children. I do think her mother needs to start acting like a mom, not a bystander, especially with the drinking, but Jojo also needs to start acting mature, not “for mature audiences” but “responsible mature”
