So you said that disconnecting the battery does not reset the code and computer. What does the average person do then to get it to correct itself? 2:19
I go over that at the end of the video. Yes disconnecting the battery will clear everything. It just needs to be left unhooked for long enough to let the capacitors in the pcm de-energize, which can take up to 20 minutes.
I saw the IMRC linkage was disconnected, and orange bushing was missing for the passenger side intake manifold runner. I was wondering if you fixed that
Lol 😆 I fix stuff lmao. Yes it was repaired. Ended up having to do the job a second time due to defective lower manifold. Originally came in for lean codes and smoke test showed coming from runner control shaft.
Reworks always suck. I figured you did , but you didn't say it in the video so I figured I'd ask. I'm working on a 2007 F150 with a 4.2, and it was throwing lean codes both banks and number two cylinder fuel injector open circuit. But every time I would check the resistance of the injector, it was always around 14 ohms. So I kept looking elsewhere. Turn out once the engine heated up the resistance would slowing increase until it would open, but then when it cooled down, it would return to about 14ohms. It was really kicking my butt. 🤔

Sorry, I meant the driver's side IMRC linkage

@@TuckerTime78 I call that heat sickness. Can be replicated using a heat gun and air wand to cool
That's what I did after I removed it, just to be 100% sure. That's the first time I've seen an injector fail so intermittently.
