This is the movie that helped me to transform. My dad had seen this movie and asked me to go alone to this movie. I think it was released in June '77 in Hubbali, in my after 10th vacation. After this movie, the shyness in me disappeared, a new me, evolved. Now, I am 62, have been a leader and a Government Gazetted Officer and retired after a successful career, all thanks to this movie, which motivated me to be assertive

I think a large part of it is because I grew up to admire and love Salil Chowdhurys music and I think Mukesh does magic to the temper of the song.

Raam kare aisa ho jaaye from Milan, Jaane kahaan gaye woh din, Ek din bik jaayega maati ke moal, Main pal do pal ka shaayar hoon, Suhani chandni raatein hame sonay nahin deti, Chalri sajni ab kya soche, Jis gali mein tera ghar na ho baalma, Sajanwa bairi ho gaye hamaar, O jaanewaale ho sake toh laut, Kahin door jab din dhhal jaaye, Kahin karti hogi woh mera intezaar..

Here is a happy song, a feel good song from “Chhoti Si Baat (1975)". It is a background song sung by Mukesh and music is composed by Salil Chaudhary. Picturisation of this song shows Amol Palekar, playing the next door ordinary neighbour kind of a role is someone ordinary people can readily identify with and he has great difficulty wooing his female colleague Vidya Sinha as he would like to. This 'feel good song' is one that one can listen to and watch many a times without feeling bored.

The melody and vocals in this masterpiece is just beyond comparison, the lyrics, the music by Salil saheb and vocals of Mukesh saheb. The simplicity of this song is matched by the screen presence of Amol Palekar and Vidya Sinha who do justice to this song on screen, simply amazing.
Can be listened to daily without getting mentally worn out, unlike the mindless crap we call music these days.
