This is PIIK | YIIK: Nameless Psychosis full demo playthrough (Stream VOD)

5 years after YIIK: A Postmodern RPG launched, YIIK I.V (1.5) is releasing in Spring 2024. It's a free update rehauling the battle system and adding new content. Nameless Psychosis is a demo that gives players a taste of what's changed... and this feels like a brand new game.

man does it feel satisfying to see someone who earnestly thinks about yiik and its plot!
i think the most exciting thing i cant wait to find out in the full game is what role wilfrid plays in it considering his original story...

Same here! It's so easy to nitpick and point out its rough edges, but I think there's so much cool going on with this game. I'm especially invested in seeing what Krow's expanded role will be like.

As someone who didn't liked the original one due to the HUGE wasted potential I think this time looks promising, so far I'm liking that it seems that it no longer has the long and pretentious dialogues/descriptions and It actually wants to go somewhere

What's funny is that a lot of the "pretentious" dialogue is still present, but recontextualized and it makes it better without changing it. I think that's super cool.

if they can make the story a bit more serious/fix some of the questionable writing, and make it a TINY bit more coherent....the game would actually be pretty decent, so I HOPE the rest of this overhaul succeeds at that

I honestly liked the story in the original but I kinda like that the changes make it feel a little more dreamlike. I could see this becoming something much more cohesive.
