- YES it works perfectly! Teach your children how the medieval troops build their medieval sieges and besiege the castle in the past. It also shows Leonardo daVinci's genius. Mechanism is so simple and so powerfull. No other forces are necessary. From a reclaimed plank pallet wood. Do it yourself project for an hour. No screws or glue needed. Only dry wood joints are used like in Middle Ages. Finally, let your kids to play with and besiege for example the LEGO castle. You can also find an inspiration in our another video a build your own cardboard castle.
This video is part of La Mamka educational concept on history lessons - Medieval Ages.
Special thanks to W.A. Mozart :)
you could put the measurements of each of the pieces of wood. It would be very instructive apart from the fact that the video is already very encouraging.
Amazing wow😲😲😲
I wonder how often the throwing rm would need to be replaced from constantly slamming into that stop post.
On a full sized one? Often probably. If anything they should've just added 2 posts to the side with rope between them to bring it to a more gradual stop. DaVinci's design actually never included a way to stop the post from slamming in the floor on the other side, the piece of wood is just a creative workaround that works well in small scale. Maybe it was intended that the bows were relaxed at halfway and the retensioning would slow it down beyond that point but we'll never know.
Could someone tell me the measurements? Or how do I guide? I need to know please
Hola oye, te pasaron las medidas? tambien las necesito
How many meters did the fire go? Cuántos metros recorrió el fuego?
15m
최고입니다 .....^^
where can i find the measurements for the wood
There are no measurements. Do not need them. Do it step by step and it will fit. Start with the base according your wish. Final solution can have size upon your wish.
Metal driller for wood, o boy
Love the jawdropping on the Lil'girl when she finds out how far it went!
Parenting done right!
or she hit a cat.
What?...
It was the little girl the whole time!
I would love to have the drawing for that
But can it launch a 9 gram stone 30 meters?
I need to launch a tennis ball 30 feet so I'm in kind of a similar situation.
@@jameshersom2536 youre gonna have to look somewhere else because it wont be this
Sure you can, depend on catapult size and strength
I get the refference
True story, A friend of a friend built a full scale version. It was a dismal performer, like all spoonapults. The arm broke, so they added a sling. It performed much better with a shorter arm and a sling.
I've heard it could throw 90kg projectiles 300m
@@uvbe hahahaha No.
@@FingerAngle Its called a trebuchet
It's doable with a big HCW, and 13 or 14 tons of counterweight.
My big Rolling Whipper throws 10 pounders over 500 yards, so far.
Very disappointed,
Catapult < Trebuchet
This would be great for my sons school science project, where can I get plans to build one?
Hi, we are sorry but we do not have any plans. Even we were inspired by a picture and trial and errors.
Nice, and don't forget to let your kid play with fire for the sake of the video.
Plot-twist, the girl is the one who made it.
Nice works..fire catapult :D
how long it will go? how many meters it went?
Genius rachet system by da vinci
Surprisingly I really enjoyed the music aha
Adrian Walker who wouldn’t enjoy Mozart anyway?
You know it's classy on the counta the Mozart and fireballs
Schatz, die Feuerwehr steht wieder bei den Nachbarn. Du weißt nicht zufällig, warum?
Y cuales son las medidas?
so.. you have to sit in front of it to fire? sound kinda dangerous as hell.. no wonder I never heard of it.. catapults and trebuchet are way better
nice contents friend
que dificil tu maquina malo tu
Yo da vinci, wtf man
Sorry but another video ruined by intrusive music.

Кто мог придумать назвать канал Le Mamka?
Hey mister ! We want to thank you because we used your model to create a catapult very similar. However, it does not throw objects as far as your catapult. Could you give us some tips ? 😊
Backsound ?
He put it at the start of the video. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Eine kleine Nachtmusik (Serenade No. 13 for strings in G major).
Only an hour build for you😉
What are the measurements of the catapult?
smart man make the kid test it
muy bueno el video, donde podria conseguir planos con dimensiones para poder construir una similar?
leonardo wouldve used hot glue..

Why no glue?
It is more realistic.
He's tryina sell the design to ikea...
How would you recommend cutting the slats for the narrow upright pieces. Nice video!
Can you give the measurments please?
10x20 is the base
it would be nicer if you used only tools available in the Renaisance

Okay, what’s with all the bots in this comment section?
?
Good!👍
well is good me like is (and why youtube not do stuff is vidios to hots vidios)
Cool catapult
Heyyy i had made the exact same a few years ago
You can give sizes of the tastes?
Do not have measurements but as you build you should keep the proportion. The actual size is upon you. It can be few cm or meter as well
Does any one else love the music or just me
I like it too
It’s glorious music, but he looped it. The third time it went back to the top I had to mute the video. By all means, use Mozart instead of shitty generic roid rock. But Mozart wrote hours, literally hours, of quality music, some of it truly
great. Then you can start on Bach - and then Bach’s kids. Why would you do a thing like that?
And look how he split those little sticks with those oversized pegs. This guy, I don’t know.

@@theotheratticus wow. How much Lifetime did you save up by writing 2 instead of two or too?
@@theotheratticus Ha, my shoes are in a lacey mood. 😂
Amazing, just why didnt you aim the camera at the pfojectile
Эта ерунда быстро выйдет из строя.
Which wood did you use for the bending parts?
Beech wood
Thanks. Hope I won't mess up the making of my catapult.
@@LaMamkaCreativeClub and, how larger?
@@LaMamkaCreativeClub cuales son todas las medidad exactas de la catapulta? Me podrian decir porfas. 🥺🥺🥺🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Good job my pioneer!!😌
how far did the projectile go?
8m
@@LaMamkaCreativeClub this can't its a joke i have doing this in a 5 minuts
Umm is fire, wood and grass a good mix, anyway Cool catapult
why wouldnt it be ?
Chill man that tiny flame ain't gonna do nothing
I have found this woodworking book “pepe amazing plan” (Google it) great for me. Not just does it cover wood working techniques, however it even describes the development cycles of trees that lead to the characteristics that carpenters find advantageous in lumber. I also provided my dad another copy.
You let you kid play with fire?!
Look me up when you want to build a catapult that will perform much better.
OK how did you build yours?
@@skeets6060 Look at my channel. I have 5 division championships back to back with multiple machines, multiple distance records, largest Hatra Ballista ever built, built 25 machines, built one of the top 4 fastest catapults in the world, run the top facebook catapult group and admin for 5 other topic related pages and groups . What kind of catapult do you have in mind?
To answer your question; I build them very well...
@@skeets6060 Thanks for asking, and I really hope you build a high performance sporting catapult! Please share your adventure with us, and don't hesitate to come talk with me here, or my channel, or our social media pages and groups! Keep On Chunkin!
^ how to shut down a troll.
You let her throw a flaming missile without having her wear safety goggles? Shame on you!
Measurements?
Sorry we do not have measurement, however you can make it whatever size you want

Cool Idea, although I don't think it's useful beyond being an awesome toy. I'd expect basically any other type of catapult to outperform it. (Except that damn cliche thingy where a giant spoon is driven by a giant crossbow, that design deserves to vanish from this earth)
what allowd it to spin
