And still no official DVD of this great tour. So sad.

I feel so lucky that I was at this show and was able to see Frank and his ridiculously great band just once. Thanks to the uploader!

Great find! Always love seeing how Frank gave his fans a chance to interview him for their independent shows and publications.

Wow, the '88 band sounds incredible in this video. "The best band you never heard in your life."

That band was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. No, not everything was better in the past, but this certainly was. Collecting voter registrations and underpants simultaneously, who does that anymore? "What ever happened to all the fun in the world?"

I love this. However, I understand that Zappa was ill, tired of touring and the band fights.

Frank didn't get diagnosed with his cancer until 1991. By the time the doctor found it, it was too late and inoperable.
The tour ended early because some of the other bandmates hated Scott.
He was in charge of rehearsals and was kind of a prick.
The band told Frank they wanted him out. He said no and cancelled the rest of the tour while still in Europe. The tour was supposed to come back to America and probably would've been in NYC for Halloween if they never imploded.

I went to maybe eight shows on the 88 tour starting in Albany and also Franks last show in the USA at Nassau Coliseujm on Long Island, which is indeed Zappa country. My first MOI show was the oct 16 1971 Stony Brook late show. I lived close enough to ride my bicycle there. First album was Just Another Band from L.A., which was almost identical to the Stony Brook show.
