- Cheers to King Art Games for giving me a free copy like two years ago. Bit late eh?
Man I'm so happy to be finally playing an RTS campaign again. It's been too damn long. The world of 1920+ is such a uniquely cool setting and I can't wait to see the rest of the campaign. I'll make a video to finish up the Polanian campaign before I do the Rusviet and Saxony ones.

As a polish person i can say that bears in towns and villages are extremely common. Like i even suspect my cat to be a bear.

This seems a lot like Steampunk Company of Heroes with a touch of the campaign elements of Men of War. It looks like a very interesting concept.
I edited this because I thought it contained Men of War content, and about 18 replies later I've realised the contribution I see is minor at best.

Wojtek is named after the real life Polish bear that served in WW2, the bear was adopted and enlisted and into the Polish ranks. The bear played, drank beer, and even fought with the soldiers. In the Battle of Mante Cassino, Wojtek was witnessed carring crates of artillery to the front lines. Without dropping a single one. The bear was promoted to the rank of Corporal and after the war retired in Scotland in the Edinburgh Zoo. What a badass bear

Strażnik - Guardian
Śmiały - Bold
Mocny - Strong
Łowca - Hunter
Żółw - turtle
Nosidełko - handheld baby carrier
Tur - a central European bison but bigger, it died out somewhere in the 16th century
Serp - sickle
Golay-gorod - moving castle
tur is aurochs in english

Considering the Serp's main armament being it's big fuck off scythe arms, I'd say the naming schemes are pretty accurate

@@Hardbass2021 eagle is for Crimaen Khanate and monkey is Togawa Shogunates' hero's companion.. Mongolians and other Asian cultures used eagles for varied purposes.. Three wise monkeys originated from japan and they have statues in Tokugawa Ieyasu's Toshogu Shrine who is the founder of Tokugawa Shogunate.. So they are fitting :)
Just to "correct" Rimmy a bit - the train line is "Ciuch Ciuch Bastards" , "Ciuch" is the Polish version of "Choo". Just felt the need to say that.

@@Kozakow The war her brother had gone to, the war mentioned in prologue as just starting. *It was WWI analogue of their world.* And now add in the facts that there were more mechanized units, factions and majority of it happens not somewhere away in France, no, it was all here. A prologue ends with upcoming war that was a dozen times more bloody and horrific then Great War we know.

If you ever read the Leviathan series by Scott Westerfield, it’s a very similar WWI scenario with giant dieselpunk mechs, as well as genetic mutant creatures. Highly recommend
Yeah, it’s a great trilogy. Admittedly, the last one does get a bit off track...
Yeah, it feels similar, but this time everyone is the clankers.
Very good series. Wish there were more diesel-punk war books out there, but its kind of a niche genre

I just got that the bear's name is an actual ww2 reference. A polish infantry unit adopted a bear cub from a circus and used it to haul ammo for them.
it LEARNED how to carry their artillery shells by watching its handler it wasn't forced to.theres a simple history video on it for more info.

Lol, "Janek Kos" (from the tutorial)... It's a nod to an old (OLD) Polish TV series, English title being "Four Tank-Men and a Dog" - the de facto leader of the tank squad was Janek Kos.
Also, of course Anna's bear HAD TO be named Wojtek. It's a direct reference to Wojtek (Voytek) - a bear in the care of Polish artillery regiment during WWII.

Wow, I must say, I'm impressed by the campaign. I tried this game a while back, when only skirmishes were available and didn't like it that much. That said, in RTS games I usually play only the campaign, not the skirmishes so it's no suprise I didn't like them. This video showed me that this game can still win me over.
The best is like Wojtec the bear actually existed and he was in the polish army and behaved like a normal person XD

This game has come a long way, I was originally really hyped years back and over time it faded. Starting to feel that hype rising again, looking forward to this.

I only seen 3 youtubers bash on it yet what they say doesn't confirm that Iron Harvest is bad, but one of the videos kinda put the game in a bad light and cause some kind of mob mentality. Also how did you like the campaign? I thought it was interesting.

Railroad Canon is a real life thing. It was created in Peru by Polish engineer, Ernest Malinowski in 1860s and it was made to shoot at Spanish ships during the war. Of course it wasnt as dope as in the game
