- Celebrating 100 years of entertaining Hawaii in 2017!
Consolidated Theatres' Hula trailer was commissioned in 1992 for our 75th anniversary and quickly became the most iconic piece of cinema from Hawaii. For our 100th anniversary, the original 35mm negative was sent out to a restoration house in Los Angeles, where it was meticulously inspected frame by frame. Dust and imperfections were removed and a digital version was returned to Hawaii. It was locally finished by one of Hawaii's best post-production houses, Montaj 9 with the direction of local ad agency, 26 Keys Creative.
For many more years to come, when you hear the sound of the conch shell you know you're at the movies. Mahalo Hawaii for 100 years! - Развлечения

Aiii sole 😂
Lol, yourre not alone, I'm with you.
💯😭
I use to live in Hawaii and one of the best things of going to the movies in that state was this intro. Didn’t care what movie was showing, the intro is always the best part.
JohnStripedfur I agree!
for me, it is kinda annoying tbh
JohnStripedfur just was looking at cinemas in Hawaii and this cinema caught my attention.
Yessa lol
I was literally going to write the same thing!
This has to be the best advertisement in the world for any product ever. Consolidated Theaters hit a home run and knocked it out of the park with this one! Just one of a million reasons why Hawaii is the best. I always swell with a sense of pride when ever I see this. Stunningly beautiful!
cosmic voyager I’ll say this - Kahala Mall’s theater always gets the best arthouse/indie films, and that’s because Consolidated has been owned by the mainland company Reading International since 2007; California-based Reading paid $72 million for the chain. And it makes sense they know how to program independent films, because they own the famous arthouse cinema Angelika Theater in Manhattan. archives.starbulletin.com/2007/10/10/news/story02.html
This video has been deeply etched into my brain for decades!
especially if the movie itself is made in Hawaii..........or at least parts of it...
this is an essential part of the theatre experience for me. Some things get old and tiring. This somehow never dies. It works every time and its so goddamn nostalgic. You cant touch what is perfect.
