Dispatcher 150 (Jimmy Raftery) who was the dispatcher for this call retired later that day - 25 yrs on the job! Definitely one of the top three best dispatchers for the city.

It took only 3 minutes from first report of fire, to arrival of first truck. More and more units rolling in. This is the kind of fire you never want to see. Heartbreaking.
What a hell of a way for that dispatcher to work his last day, working one of the deadliest fires in NYC in quite some time. :(
My cousin is in Squad 41 and responded to it. He helped rescue several people.
Most of the fire fighters who were doing rescues on the higher floors ran out of air but instead of coming out of the building to get another bottle they just continue their search and rescue in the heavy smoke.
Hmmm maybe they should be in better shape a lot of fat fireman

This not the Bronx dispatch, it is citywide radio. The majority of the early transmission of the Bronx fire is missing
Broadcastify no longer has a Bronx feed, so this was the best that could be gotten. Agreed it isn't as good as Bronx only, but it's what I could get.

At 13:14 you can hear the cause of the fire, I have heard stories of people firing up all 4 burners on their gas stoves to keep warm. Fireman turned the gas off in the 2nd floor apt.

this is citywide radio so ot has multiple radio transmissions from diff areas of city.

This is total BS. Why are we listening to every boro while we miss a shit load of transmissions from the fire we want to listen to.
This is not the Bronx audio this is citywide. Hopefully they will do a video of just Bronx’s audio. To many calls scattered.

Not on Broadcastify unfortunately, the only feeds are Citywide and Manhattan

This COULD have been great however it was stepped on by the four other boroughs. Also, the crawler didn't accurately decipher the audio.
Sorry about this, Broadcastify doesn't have a Bronx-only channel anymore so Citywide was the best option.
